I absolutely loved frisko freeze. I have been going there for over 20 years. However recently the cleanliness has really gone down hill and the food is hit and miss. There is a bald headed employee with glasses that really does not follow any hygiene policies. I went there a few nights ago and witnessed him playing with a bloody bandaid with his gloved hand and then went and touched fries. Tonight I went and watched him with gloves on handle cash then go push the garbage down and then go back to handling food without changing his gloves or washing. I will no longer eat here until they take care of these safety hazards

Haven’t been to Frisco Freeze for a while. Thought I would stop and get my favorite, double cheese burger. What a disappointment. The onions were cut very large and fell out of the burger. The burger was very dry because very little sauce on it. The buns were even thicker than I remember. I have been coming to Frisco Freeze since it opened in the 60s and this double cheese is not the original double cheese Perry Smith had in mind. Won’t be back

I thought I would stop in after work and grab a bite to eat. I ordered a double chesse burger and fry. I ate my warm fries on the way home… and would bite into my cheesy burger while checking out an eposide of OITNB… I took a bite of my burger… and because I like to see my food… I look down and there is HAIR coming out of the patty!!! The hair wasnt on the patty it was coming OUT! I called go olé frisko freeze while trying to stay clam and demanded my money back! So folks be warned about this place check your burger before you bite if you are even brave enough to eat there after you view my photo!

Quick service. Excellent food. Great prices! It has a good crew working the grills. Drive through, call in and pick up, or just park and walk up.

I would say better than Dick’s but my boyfriend disagrees. I like crispy fries and there lies the difference. Better fries and it’s just a way better quality burger. The beef was seasoned and delicious! Large portions. I will be craving this place regularly.

hard to believe what was once the gold standard of drive-in cheeseburgers has fallen below Sonic in quality. i’ve been coming here my entire life, and the food/service were generally very good, with a few notable exceptions. nowadays, a good Frisko experience IS the exception. rude, dismissive front counter help, excruciating wait times, screwed up orders, and worst of all: they have forgotten how to make their signature burger. too much relish, no seasoning, and have they changed the beef supplier after all this time? i swear these burgers used to taste beefy, instead of like costco filler. this is how a legend dies.

Love this place. I’ve had quite a few of their items and it seems that you can’t go wrong. Love their shakes. Delicious! The hamburgers are good sized and so yummy. Pro tip: call ahead or you might have to wait a little bit for your order.

THISIS A REVIEWOFTHEFOOD, NOTOFSOMESTUPIDNOSTALIGIAFEELINGSTHISESTABLISHMENTBRINGSYOU. If you’re more interested in nostalgia than in quality ingredients, ignore my review. If you actually value the flavor of food that you put into your mouth, read on… Let’s just get straight to it. Below average burgers, lack luster service, long wait times for said crap food, and a poor value for what you get. Burger was sloppily constructed(pictures say it all). Relish was sweet and over powering. The actual patty itself was very poor quality and not fresh at all. They clearly try to hide this fact by smothering it in toppings. We ordered two lemonades. Mine tasted like a watery urinal cake, and my significantly better half’s tasted overly sweet. Quality control issues abound. the onion rings were hovering in some sort of heart-breaking purgatory between crisp and limp. Pay attention to the 4 and 5 star reviews. There’s a bunch of palateless nostalgic wind bags who wouldn’t know the difference between a McDonalds burger and a Seoul burger. FWIW, this place is actually a 2-star establishment, but because of the amount of 4 and 5 star reviews, I have to skew my rating accordingly. Skip this place and go to Shake Shake Shake.

Well… this place seems a bit overrated for what you get. There is always a line here and the wait is often fairly long in order to get your food. The hamburgers and fries are a notch or two below what I would call standard but I suppose in a pinch and if you aren’t close to many other options then this would work. It’s definitely a no frills kind of place with their burgers… just the basics. Perhaps what the calling card here that I haven’t tried is the milkshakes. Maybe that is what keeps people coming back time and time again, I don’t know. Otherwise the experiences I have had here are just fair.

Points for being a cool, old-school drive through, but I actually wish we got McDonalds burgers instead. Buns were un-inspiring, meat was under-seasoned and the burger experience just wasn’t there. The onion rings were decent enough, but onions alone have never paid the bills for anyone.

Long waits, greasy burgers, laid back attitude… for all the haters go to BK. For everyone else who wants a taste of the way it used to be there is Frisko Freeze, a when in Tacoma!

When you think Tacoma, you think Frisko Freeze! It’s a historical landmark of crispy French fries, greasy burgers, piping hot onion rings and thick smooth shakes. We get the double cheese add bacon! Call in your order ahead of time and they will have it ready for you in less than 10 mins. Haven’t gotten our order wrong and food has always been piping hot and delicious!

The wait is ridiculous. We went twice now. The first time, we waited in the drive through for at least 45 minutes. We aren’t locals and didn’t have a clue about just walking up to order. The burgers are OK. Kind of greasy and just slopped together. The girl was kind of rude and short with me on my second visit. The guys were polite and had a good sense of humor both visits. There has to be a better burger and fry joint, so I will keep searching!

Good solid burger, not my favorite but definitely better than most. The rest of the food is very good as well, great onion rings and milk shakes. Plus this place is pretty cool, an old drive-up or walk-up burger place from the early 50’s and pretty much looks the same. Tip: Call ahead if you don’t want to wait in line otherwise during the summer this place can get crazy. If you have not had a burger from these guys definitely worth checking them out!!!

Really good burgers and soft serve vanilla ice cream cones! There can be a long wait time depending on the day and time.

Being a California girl I always like to try local burger joints and compare them to my personal favorite In n Out burgers. I spent the entire day at the hospital and did not feel like having hospital food, so I Unilocaled for the nearest place to eat and quickly noted that this place was voted one of the best burgers in the Seattle area. I had the double cheese burger with extra onions since that seemed to be a favorite on Unilocal and I had french fries and onion rings because I love onion rings and I figured why not. The Burger: the double cheeseburger with extra onions was good. It was two large patties with melted cheese and was clearly freshly grilled. The onions were sweet the sauce was fine and the veggies were crunchy. The burger itself lacked seasoning. A pinch of salt would’ve gone a long way. All in all it was an OK burger. It certainly was not an In n Out burger. The french fries and onion rings we’re both OK. The french fries black to salt and the onion rings had a thick coating that made my jaw tired after about three. They were piping hot and clearly had just come out of the fryer but the flavor wasn’t all there. Again maybe it’s just me, but I was looking for great fries and every better onion rings. But the missed the mark. I would definitely come back for the burger but likely will just get that. I’ll skip in the fries and onion rings. Maybe next time I’ll try one of their shakes.

An absolute case study in inefficiency, 37 minute wait for a burger?! With only four cars ahead of me. Excruciating miserable disrespectful way to treat customers. Obviously I’ll never be back. The food was acceptable but unremarkable. The cool throw back sign is neat. But not worth the DMV style service.
