If it sounds too good to be true, that’s because it is. Family affair photography is offering deals on Unilocal, amazon, living social etc. The price can’t be beat but the quality leaves a lot to be desired. What you will get is Amateur photography– pictures were blurry, poorly edited, and lacking in artistic vision. You get what you pay for. They are very kind people & aim to please but I would suggest spending a bit more for quality.

I had Monica shoot an 80th birthday party for my grandfather. When I told her it would be on a yacht going up to the San Juan Islands and it would be all day, Monica told me that would be no problem, that she would do whatever it was we needed her to do. True to her word, she spent the entire day on the boat and took photos of family that hadn’t been together in years… which needless to say, are priceless photos. She took photos all over the boat, of different groups, different angles and also brought along her husband and daughter… who also spent the entire time taking photos. I cannot say enough about her quality of work and her professionalism. Add to that how genuinely considerate and kind that she is, that will make me use her again and again… and refer customers to her.

Monica and Sonny did an amazing job with my wedding in 2008. Their professionalism and talent make any wedding they photo shine. I can’t ever thank them enough for immortalizing such a special day for me. They have an amazing eye for the small things that you will look back at and smile!

Monica and Sonny were awesome. Sonny got some great shots of the guys and the details and Monica followed me everywhere. We ended up with way more shots than we thought we would, even thought there were a few shots that they missed that we would have liked to have had. There were some shots that were also lost/misplaced that we were/are pretty sad about, but overall we loved them. Monica was with me from the time that I was getting ready, until the very end. I felt like the paparazzi was after me the entire time that we were at the wedding. They are a wonderful husband and wife team that work well together and go out of their way to make your day continue to live on in pictures with all of the memories and emotion of the day. Unlike a lot of other photographers, Monica edits each shot until she is happy with it before you even see it. We ended up with 1,296 pictures from our day; a total of 6 hours. We had a very small wedding; only 24 guests, including us and the wedding party, so for them to get that many pictures was/is truly phenomenal. Some of them are duplicates and triplicates with different edits, but when I went through them, I was able to pick out 640 pictures for our albums that tell the entire story of our day. For the parent and grandparent albums, I chose 181 pictures that told the gist of the day. Monica definitely goes out of her way to make sure the bride is a happy bride. We give them a definite 5 stars and definitely recommend them.
