El Super Taco Bas

The bar is low for a taco bus… but there’s that one bus up on Meridian in South Hill by the RV place that just kicks butt so I thought hey look another bus and that other bus was rockin’ killer tacos, burritos, you name it.
First someone mentioned the girl at the counter — she does has attitude. Oh well, no need for name calling but she’s not the best — if I’m the owner better to hire someone that wants to be there — maybe she’s familia and not gettin’ paid? Anyways, I ask for horchata, and sure enough they have a big sign sayin’ they have ‘chata so I’m an idiot and she makes the look like ‘you either can’t read or you’re an idiot…” but that’s all good — my bad.
But then we order, taquitos, 2 burritos, and sidral to go. $ 25. Kinda pricey. strike two-​ish.
Finally, we try to pay. Since it was unexpectedly more than what I bargained for (okay I couldn’t bargain with them as if I was at the remate but I tried, more to follow) I had to break out the plastic. And we swiped my card. And their machine didn’t work. And we tried again. And again. And again. Y otra vez, y otra vez y otra vez… until finally someone in the electronic card land picks up the phone and processes the payment. I tried to just give them the $ 22 I had but that was a no go… Strike 3 stars from the Super Bus. Won’t be stopping there again in la futura.

Been going here for ages. But the prices are going up and the street tacos are bland and greasy.
The young girl at the register is a ding bat and very hard to communicate with.
Today I ordered 10 tacos and asked for green salsa to go. When my order was ready she asked if I wanted red or green salsa. I again told her green. She went to the back and brought me my bag. I get home and no salsa. Those greasy tacos were nasty and tasteless without the salsa. I doubt I’ll ever go back

This place had pretty good tacos, and the red sauce was great on them. My friend had the bean burrito and she said that it was just okay. Food wise there really was no wow factor.
For creativity, I give an A+. I thought it was cool that they had a mini restaurant inside the bus. Every time I drove by I thought it was just a walk up. So I was really impressed with the set up. The people were friendly and very helpful.
I noticed someone saying the prices were high, I totally disagree. The prices were fair for the amount of food you get. And the food was ok, and is good enough to eat. I believe that this place has potential to be a 4 star restaurant, but they need to add a wow factor to the food.

Nothing special here. Just like every other taco truck. It’s decent and it’s definitely within walking distance from my apartment which is probably the only reason I would return. It’s a really cool concept considering it’s literally a bus parked in a parking lot. However it’s expensive and the food is just mediocre but that’s kind of what you expect from the taco truck sometimes. Definitely not someplace I keep on my list for desperate times.

I would give zero stars if I could. First it took 1 minute to get our food so obviously it is not fresh. Second it is expensive and definitely not worth your money. The food had barely any flavor and hardly any chicken on my torta or my boyfriends burrito. His consisted of mainly refried beans from a can. My torta was dry and the lettuce was wilted. Those two items ended up costing us near 13.00 dollars. A major rip off ! Luckily a homeless man was walking by and we gave him a warm meal. So it wasn’t a total waste of our time. I would not recommend this taco bus to anyone. Find elsewhere to spend your money.

This taco bus has been around for awhile, but my boyfriend just recently introduced me to it. Yes, it is an actual bus! I cannot believe he has been holding out on me, because I regularly crave the burrito from here now! We have started to try out different taco trucks in our area versus my old go-​to place, Taco Time, and so far, this is my favorite! We’ve been back three times in the past month.
