Albert Lee Appliance

While we were very pleased with the sales person who helped us pick out all new appliances for our new home, the much vaunted sale was a total disappointment. There is a lot of hype that they only have this incredible sale twice a year, but the execution left a lot to be desired and appeared to be rather scammy. We understood that since we had chosen very high end appliances that there was no point coming in person to the sale to see if there were any on the floor that were discounted, so that wasn’t an issue. We worked with our salesperson for several weeks, narrowed down our choices, all in anticipation of the big day, when we would be called with the price management determined they would allow us to pay for the entire package. It turned out to be only 5% off the total of their normal retail (which isn’t much less than manufacturer’s retail on the manufacturer’s website). We spent upwards of 20K on the appliances, and you would think we would get more than 5% off, especially after all the hype. A really bizarre experience all around. Makes you wonder why they don’t just do a sale like every other company out there — you know, advertise the sale price in advance.

Once they have your money the service goes out the door! Salesman was very good with the answers when we were buying but then the communication went away and the warehouse folks are even worse!
Here’s a tip, pay a little bit more and get treated right before you buy, while you buy and after you buy!

Spent $ 700 on a dishwasher that was not my first choice. My first choice did not arrive, so salesperson called and talked me into a KitchenAid. Needless to say, as we approach the end of it’s second year, it’s a dud. I had to have the top rack mechanism changed. My repair person said it’s not a surprise that a repair was needed, as Kitchen Aid had a full package available for the repair. Defective. Now, it appears that something else is needed. No more Albert Lee and no more KItchenAid recommendations. Ugh!

Service to start (3plus weeks for new fridge delivery) then after 4 months that thing broke! They have 1 service group for all appliances so a long 3 week wait to fix (try going 3 weeks w/​o fridge) then it gets worse! The F… Thing broke down again 5 months later! Do your self a favor and

Very poor customer service! We have had nothing but issues with our new Electrolux dryer. Albert Lee’s won’t return phone calls, they have only sent out a service provider one time and we keep getting the run around. Nothing has been fixed; the dryer works when it wants to, they certainly aren’t doing anything to help. My opinion, do not waste your time and do not invest your money with this company… shop elsewhere!

Walk in checking out dishwashers and before we even got to the section we had a salesman showing us the way. He was very genuine and full of information that helped us realize what we ultimately wanted in a dishwasher. When we realized they were all out of our budget he took us into the back warehouse and showed us the huge array of appliances that are not prime. some are displays or returned items. We found what we wanted and at the price we could afford. It was shrink wrapped and loaded into our vehicle that night after we did the paperwork. We asked about install and they gave us the number to Appliance Hospital. Check out my review on them.
In addition the salesman gave me a fitting for the water intake on the dishwasher.
Very positive and short experience with the sales staff. I will go back and look at more of the lower priced items in the back section of the warehouse.

I have been a very happy customer of Albert Lee for all of my appliance needs on several of my homes, for many years. However more recently, I purchased a beverage fridge for my master bedroom closet and two stackable washer/​dryer sets for my most recent remodel project at my home.
I was convinced by Albert Lee sales staff to purchase these items at a sale back in November for a project that was still in the framing phase (I thoroughly explained this to the sales person as I was shopping for the appliances to get the rough-​in dimensions to my contractors). At the time of purchase, nothing was disclosed to me regarding the fact that all these items needed to be delivered and installed by the end of November. However when it was time to schedule delivery, I was basically forced to take delivery of these items way before the house was ready.
When the appliances were delivered, they were left at the house and were not fully installed (because as I made clear to Albert Lee, the house was nowhere near ready). In addition to this, I was charged for the installation.
Now that the home is finally complete and ready for the final installation, I made contact with Albert Lee to see if they will come out to complete my appliance installation. I was basically told that the installation was already completed and that they do not do re-​service.
As someone who has been a repeat customer of Albert Lee for many years mostly due to past experiences of exceptional customer service, I am very disappointed with my most recent experience.
I fear that something has changed regarding this companies customer service policies and this is why I write this review in order to caution future customers.

Really knowledgeable sales folks who were not high pressure and irritating. They asked the right questions and steered us the right direction. We’re thrilled with our appliances and the professionalism of the staff. Only knocking off one star since they don’t do install. I understand why, but it does detract a bit from the experience.

Didn’t buy anything yet but got helped by Tim R and he was really good. Pleasant person to buy appliances from…
