I pick apples here every year. It is easy to get around whether you walk or ride the tractor. They have some gift shop items and the naked goods are delicious.

Today was our first time here out at this orchard and boy were we glad we stopped here! They had everything well organized. The kids loved the tractor ride and the driver was friendly. Their apple fritters had a long line, but it moved quickly. Selling at $ 2.50 for three and the perfect apple and batter ratio. The best we had today(and we tried 3 places… lol). Their pumpkins were priced at $ 1 for small and $ 5 for the bigger ones. We enjoyed them as we sat at one of the picnic tables provided. We had a great time picking Galas, a great eating apple and McIntosh for baking. They also had several raspberry bushes that were still producing and the kids and I had fun picking the red and golden raspberries. I think the apples were $ 1/lb and the raspberries $ 3.50/lb. There were 2 porta potties by the big bar near the parking lot. There was a handwashing station near the apple fritter shack. They had a couple friendly dogs out and about that ‘live on the farm’ and others brought their leashed pets in case you have anyone really scared of them. I loved petting one of them as I miss our dog. We had a great time. We’ll be back!

This place is the best! We love Beak and Skiff but it’s always so crowded. They have strawberry picking and apple picking and a gift shop with homemade pies. Very welcoming inside and around their property with their huge golden retrievers walking around. They have pumpkin picking too! Our kids love their fritters.

This is one of my family’s favorite places to pick apples in the fall. It’s a smallish, comfortable orchard, without the fuss and bustle of the larger Beak & Skiff farm a couple miles away. They also charge less per pound than Beak & Skiff. No crowds, no traffic jams, and no huge parking lots at Navarino’s. It’s just about picking apples, and that’s the way we like it. This year, my little one-year-old also appreciated the abundant wagons you can borrow to haul toddlers into the orchards.

Laid back, not overrun with crowds and kids, free tractor rides, and delicious u-pick produce. Beautiful location during Autumn and a really close drive from Syracuse(take Velasko Rd /Rt-129 S and you’ll get some of the best views of CNY).

This is a great place to pick apples with the family in the autumn. The atmosphere of this family run farm is warm and satisfying. Navarino isn’t a big corporate orchard that is interested in building their own alcohol and lifestyle brand — and that is a good thing! Navarino is actually an orchard and farm first and foremost! They have loads of variety and the prices are fair for the u-pick fruits.

This orchard is wonderful. It is a smaller family-run operation. Prices are reasonable and they offer a wide variety of apples to choose from. A very enjoyable experience.

Just a few miles South and West of the rusty, cloud covered city of Syracuse is a bucolic retreat snuggled in the rolling hillsides on Rt 20. I have often traveled South on I-81 and pulled off at the Lafayette exit to sweep through the McDonald’s drive thru but only returned quickly to the Interstate. If you take this exit, pass McDonald’s and I say head west !! As you go west on Rt 20 and away from I-81 you will experience a jaw dropping beautiful, virtually transformational shift in the scenery and ambiance. Rolling hills, views to the distant autumn tree covered landscape and farms… apple farms. Of course, this is a big draw in the fall. All of this means a wonderful driving experience on curvy hilly roads with plenty of options to stop for a refreshing break. After enjoying my all too short drive in the country, I chose to stop at Navarino Orchards late on a Saturday afternoon in September. With a slight crispness in the air, a bright colorful sun and changing leaves, it was a perfect day to experience, as best one can, an old fashioned farm experience. Navarinos is definitely an attraction for people of all kinds: families, couples, groups of friends etc… Navarino’s has apple orchards with many varieties of apples available for you to pick your own fresh from the trees. They also offer blueberries, raspberries and lots of pumpkins. They have a principal store, or farm stand, where they sell home baked apple, raspberry and blueberry pies using fruits from their farm. A pie that weighed 3 pounds was only $ 10 ! If you don’t want to eat your pie now, they have frozen, unbaked pies for you to bake at home when you wish. In their store, there is a variety of «country» accouterments(a.k.a. souvenirs) but, you can find New York state maple syrup and a variety of regional cheeses. Outside of the main farmstand, there is a small building dedicated to the fresh preparation and sale of apple fritters ! The smell was delicious ! I confess that I did not eat or buy anything and simply chose to walk around the store and their grounds and soak in the peace, quiet, and wonderfully colorful scenery. It just felt so damned good to be out of Syracuse and this hit the spot ! There are still several good weeks to travel the countryside not far from Syracuse and I will be on the road and another visit to Navarino’s is a must!

we have been going there for years, buying apples, strawberries, pumpkins, etc… but our trip to navarino today was better than the usual great experience. let me say, even if you’re not much for picking apples, you’ve got to go buy their homemade applesauce(best on the planet), pies, dill pickles, pickled eggs(their own special tangy sweet garlic recipe), pickled beans, and more. BUT, as I said earlier, today was extra special. after we bought all of our goodies and were loading them in the car, the owner came out and approached us. she had my $ 50 bill in her hand, telling me «I think this is yours» — it fell out of my pocket in the store, and I had no idea. I would’ve never known where I lost that money, we had just finished a full day of errands and shopping. I cannot tell you how touched I was by her honesty. so, in summary … this is not just an incredible place to buy lots of goodies and gifts. it’s also owned by good, honest people. go to navarino!
