First time visiting the store. Although there are some options for fresh vegetables and prepared and pantry foods was surprised and disappointed by a number of things. 1. Store cleanliness or lack thereof 2. Yogurt in the refrigerator — there were four and all of them had already expired and containers had stains on them! 3. Checkout individual was less than helpful with loading or unloading a large bag of rice from my cart, and I was 7 months pregnant. No one else shopping in the store at the time. Really no excuse for this behavior. Will not be going back to this store.

I picked up essentials the other day. Syracuse doesn’t have as large of a Desi population as the Richmond/DC area so the small size of the store makes sense. They had everything I needed I’m just used to Lakshmi Palace in Richmond and Patel Bros in general. Also, I’m not sure if the shipment of Thumsup was bad or not but the bottle I bought was completely flat.

India Bazaar offers a wide variety of Indian foods including fresh produce and frozen foods that cannot be found at chain grocery stores. They have a great selection of spices(pretty much anything you could want), canned goods, snacks, and varieties of rice. The prices are very reasonable.
