Our meal was great. We both ordered the chicken riggies which was delicious. So much food I barely made a dent. Both of us brought home leftovers. I had some last night and will again tonight. Believe I will have enough for one more meal. Service was fantastic. Our waitress checked on us often and was very pleasant. Where can you go for this much food at such a reasonable price!

Last two time not only was the food just terrible the service was ultra slow. Not sure what’s going on this place was great for years but not any more

The staff was super friendly but that didn’t make up for the lack of quality in my meal. I ordered the spaghetti and there really wasn’t anything special about it. The sauce was ok. We also ordered a pizza as an appetizer(we had a big party). The pizza was meh. The one great thing is that the serving sizes are huge. Two people can share one entrée. I wasn’t able to finish the meal and took it home. I did like their bread but that’s about it. The décor is a little outdated and it could stand to be a little bit more clean. Wouldn’t come back.

What to say about a wonderful meal and great service? A few things come to mind. There is almost never a wait to be seated. The waitresses call you honey, which I like. The food portions are large, which I love, & the cost is less than anywhere else, which I adore. Great place for regular cny people;-)

EVERYTHING was loaded with salt. Dinner rolls were stale. I ordered a sub and got it brought to me on a hamburger roll, had to send it back. Then when I finally got it back on a sub roll it was obviously day old. I asked to upgrade my soup to French onion and offered to pay the $ 3 extra charge but they wouldn’t do it. What business refuses to make another $ 3? Insane. Won’t be back.

Dominick’s is my standard of comparison for chicken riggies. I can’t believe they have overall 2.5 stars I absolutely love this place. Awesome eggplant parm too but I usually can’t stray from the riggies Huge portions, unfortunately price has gone up a bit but still a good deal especially if you make it last 2 meals with leftovers. Take out portions are just as big as dine-in.

Got some take out from here after a friend recommended them for their chicken riggies. The entire order was mediocre at best. Salt goes a long way you know. I’m a huge fan of chicken riggies and this was by far the worst I’ve ever had, it was bland and not even the slightest bit spicy. I’m not going to waste anymore words on this place.

I was so excited to eat here after hearing such rave reviews but was just completely disappointed. We had a reservation for a large group. Only two servers. They were nice enough but would get a little snarky like they were trying to be funny. I didn’t find it very amusing or get their sense of humor. You’re there to do your job, not to capture the attention of the room. They also let the drinks sit with ice in them so they got extremely watered down. Chicken portion was HUGE but the driest chicken I have ever had in a restaurant. It was lightly breaded and covered in marinara sauce but tough beyond consumption. My dog wouldn’t even eat it when I brought it home! Bacon scallop appetizers were ridiculously salty. Inedible. Cajun beef was way too chewy and bland, with a hint of heat. Crab cake completely fell apart so I couldn’t eat it. Didn’t look like a true crab cake at all, just filler. My favorite part of the night was spinach artichoke dip. You can’t really mess that up and it was definitely more cheesy than most places that I have had it.

Great food I recommend pizza, mozzarella sticks. They have great staff always willing to help. Ps if you ask to sit in the bar area you might see the pizza oven. If you get desert I recommend the chocolate croissant. I’m not sure why this place had a 2.5 star rating I think it’s amazing! Hope you have a great time at dominicks!!! The almond horns are awesome as well. I’ve personally never had it but they’re known for their pasta, when you go you can get a soda as you wait! I can’t say enough this place is great. Make sure to visit dominicks!!!

a relative dragged us here years ago when we came back home for a week in the summer. two years in a row. the third year i said«no way». anywhere else! if you know really good food, you are in the wrong place. they have no redeeming features. huge portions? pasta is commonly sold for 99 cents a pound at grocery stores

Chicken Riggies are good and I live in Eastwood so it was convenient to pick something up but the to go is so awful– they didn’t make my pizza the way I wanted it and the salad was old and disgusting!!! Dominicks has really went downhill! Not impressed and with the prices I will not be returning not worth it at all!!! Don’t Go!

Horrible. I ordered the Baked Manicotti. Served at room temperature with a thick layer of cold cheese on top that was totally congealed.(Sounds appetizing, right?) It should be called«Microwaved Manicotti,» as I’ve had better Italian food from a TV dinner. Another member of our party was served completely wrong dish. Waitress«put a rush» on the correct one which finally came out when everyone else was done. Overpriced special Seafood Fra Diavolo was permeated by a burnt sauce flavor. Inedible. Floor was shaking from waitress slamming chairs around as she rearranged table next to us. On top of the lousy food and careless service, this place is crazily overpriced AND they nickel-and-dime you on every tiny request. Lots of places to eat out there. Don’t waste your time or money on Dominick’s.

Went on a Sunday for a family birthday celebration. Portions were huge, but lacked flavor. Greens were so salty that they were not edible. Waitstaff was attentive and pleasant. Better Italian places in Syracuse.

went for lunch today with my parents. I ordered the scallops with broccoli and mushrooms, in butter and garlic sauce. Came drowning in a white wine sauce, which is not what was listed on the menu, or what I would have ordered. Talked to the waitress about it, and she sent her manager over who I thought was incredibly snotty about it, stating that«of course there is wine in it! and some clam juice too!». Maybe my expectations are too high that the menu reflect what is brought to the table?

Worst restaurant experience I’ve had in Syracuse, NY. We were over charged for the bill, the coffee was watered grounds. Although we made reservations, they didn’t have our place set. Don’t come here. The food quality is poor and the service is terrible. I can’t say anything worse about this place. Don’t come here!

I was very disappointed with Dominick’s today. While I don’t eat there often, I’m pretty familiar with it and even had my wedding shower there years ago. I usually order the white antipasto salad(made with turkey) which comes in medium and large and normally is loaded with turkey, provolone cheese and sprinkled with black olives, tomatoes, red onions and hard boiled egg. Since it was dinner time I ordered a large for pickup. When I opened the styrofoam container, the salad was almost purely iceberg lettuce, sloppily chopped into large pieces and barely any turkey. Perhaps the to go orders have more lettuce as opposed to the dine-in oval plates they use, but there should have been more substance to this expensive container of cheap lettuce. I will think twice before ever ordering or eating there again. Angotti’s down the street is better.

Utica Greens: Dry, not hot, one bite salty, another tasteless. Angel Hair Pasta: Enormous serving with hardly any sauce. Two cups of sauce later still dry and we’re told new policy is to charge for extra sauce, even that already provided. When we complained that it was outrageous to serve it dry and then charge to make it right, server took dish to owner for«her» to look at it, resulting in N/C; however, no sauce provided to make it right. Service: Friendly, understanding of situation, did what she could to help. Insult to Injury: Gastritis. Bottom Line: If you’re interested in quantity, not quality, this is the place for you.

We stopped into Dominick’s for a quick lunch before heading to see a movie. My parents had been here many times to when my mom, my friend and I sat down, we had my dad come join us since he works down the road. Our waitress was very friendly and quick to get him a place setting. The food came out fast and the portions were ENORMOUS! My dad said his beef bracciole was«more than enough for three people». My friend’s fettuccini alfredo came on a giant plate, as did mom’s chicken riggies, and my dish must have had a dozen scallops and a big scoop of crab meat stuffing with a separate bowl for the mashed potatoes. I would give my personal dish a 3.5 as the scallops were cooked well but had little flavor and the stuffing tasted too strongly of mayo for me. Then again, expecting good seafood in central New York, out of season was a long shot to begin with! But the mashed potatoes were homemade! And the rest of the party loved their food. Like I said, the service was great and attentive. My only other comment is that the décor is pretty outdated, kind of dark so a little revamp might serve Dominick’s well!
