I been coming here for years! I like it, or maybe I’m just used to it? Not sure but while I think about it I’ll enjoy my plate of chow mein with orange chicken and a few egg rolls!

China Express has good and affordable deals BUT when I went which was dinner time their selection was minimal. Just from seeing the line of people that showed up while I was there I knew they knew that they get busy at this time so why would they not have their selections filled and ready to roll? The people were nice I can’t say anything about that. I also ordered the peppered steak which was a ‘special order’ from their buffet plate selections. They do make peppered steak & I’ve had this before at other chinese establishments but what I got was steak with SOMANYONIONS I mean seriously it was alot. There were also like 4 slivers of green pepper. I wouldn’t recommend that plate if you’re not deeply in love with onions. For their skimpy selection, mediocre food, plus it being an all cash eatery I gave it a 3. However it won’t stop me from going back to get me some chowmein.

The people at this restaurant get mad for everything, they serve food like if you’re getting it for free. Worst place I have ever been in my life definitely don’t go to this place. The food is disgusting if u love their food means u don’t know what’s food.

I gave this three stars cuz the food is good, but for eight bucks you are really not getting alot. The portions seem huge cuz they are stuffing them in a tiny to go box, yes the box is over flowing with food but its a SMALL box! Its Americanzed Chinese food but it is tasty!

Love this place! Whenever I’m in the mood for Chinese, this is definitely the first place I think of. The food is amazing(especially their portions), it’s fast and easy to get what you want and it’s reasonably priced. If you’re thinking of getting lunch or dinner you should stop by here and leave satisfied.

Lies, lies, lies… The food is mediocre u know not the greatest & not the worst & friendly staff. But everyone saying they give large portions must not know large portions. Just when u open the stirafoam container u can tell ur not getting ur moneys worth. A good large portion is when u can’t finish the food and skip the fortune cookie. Well I did the opposite and left still hungry considering eating the container just to fill my appetite.

I give one star I will never come back as I sit in this place and wonder what I just ate. I’m not sure if I want to go vomit and go somewhere new, or just let it pass. The problem is this place is overloaded with positive feed back. The 1 stars on here I agree with. I had orange chicken, beef with broccoli and chow neon. The orange chicken was so breaded and hard I couldn’t tell what I was eating. The beef with broccoli the beef part, had a texture unlike any other meat I’ve had. If I had to guess, this is what dog food tastes like. The broccoli was steamed and fresh. I will never come back this place needs to up its standards. And the rest of you that post best Chinese food in valley, don’t know good Chinese food

I went to this eatery a while back and I never came back to it because I did not like it. My wife told me that her co-workers get lunch from here and it may have gotten better so I gave it a second chance. To make the story short we bought ourselves each a combo. I got spare ribs w/black bean sauce and orange chicken. Maybe I should have followed my first instinct and should have just gone to the Popeye’s Chicken next door. I might have enjoyed that more. The orange chicken was meh. Too bready and was more like sweet and sour except orange in color. The ribs were cold and tasteless. I tried eating it because we already paid for it but it’s not even worth the effort. The fried rice was just as tasteless. And the price was not really cheap. I could’ve gone to Panda Express, paid a dollar more and enjoyed it. I looked around and not a Chinese was in sight except for the cashier. Save yourselves some trouble and don’t even come here. A better Chinese fastfood is the one down at La Rinda plaza by Laurel Cyn and Rinaldi/Workman.

In my opinion the best Chinese food spot I’ve been to in the Valley. The food is delicious and the portion size are great. My favorite combo is the chow mien with beef broccoli and orange chicken. I know quite common but there’s just something about this food that you must try for yourself. The only downside from this location is that they only accept cash. Also the Sriracha seems watered down. So don’t t forget«CASHONLY» people lol.

Just moved to San Fernando and went here over the week. I’m a big fan of Chinese food, especially the Americanized kind. With this being just a block away from my house I was extremely excited that I’d have a place to eat at least once a week. I checked it out on Unilocal and noticed they had a Check-In Offer, Check-In and get an egg roll. So I made my order and when I got to the register the cashier told the check-ins are only for orders for $ 25 above. Well it didn’t say anything about that on the Check-In. Did she make that up on the spot? I decided not to make a fuss and just get my food and go. I pull out my credit and she tells me cash only. I let out a big sigh, and just walk out. I’m not sure why restaurants choose to do business with cash only. We live in the 21st century. I understand credit cards take a small cut but here’s the thing. I would be eating there at least once a week, at least. That’s quite a good chunk of money lost because they’d rather evade taxes. Either way, I’ll be searching for another place to my chinese food fix, some place that honors their check-ins.

I’ve been eating at this Chinese place since I was very young — over 20 years? — they are my favorite! Half & half, orange chicken, BBQ pork and egg rolls… The best.

If you like American Chinese fast food, this is your place. 1.) Food is above average for the price and the portions are massive. My wife and I usually share when we go. 2.) like spicy food so I get the Kung pao chicken and the spicy beef. Both are tasty and come with considerably more meat than say Panda Express. 3.) The orange chicken is good. Flaky and warm with a sprinkle of sesame. I prefer it to panda’s syrupy version. Have tried many other items and have liked them all except one. 3.) Cost effective and tasty. 4.) Downsides are the place is CASHONLY so be ready. 5.) They have some seating for dine in so you can eat there should u want but we always get it to go. 6.) I’m not a fan of their chow mein as I find the noodles to be a little to soft for me… 7.) Minimal parking that’s close… It’s in a shopping center but is directly across from a closed restaurant with no adjacent parking. 8.) make sure a bathroom is close. With portion sizes and the fast quality it can be a bit of a gut bomb. To go remedies this issue =) If you have appropriate expectations for a Chinese fast food place, you will be pleasantly surprised.

Once in a while I have a crazing for cheap Chinese food. I wasn’t expecting much when I decided to come here. The result was very appetizing. Clean restaurant, friendly staff, generous portions, and tasty food.

Came for the always crispy orange chicken which has yet to disappoint HOWEVER, quick tip order chow mein only and then ask for rice. if you order half and half its more like 80% rice 20% chow mein which isn’t appetizing. Also the terryaki is hit or miss. tMost times it’s good but there have been a few times like today where I get a serving of chicken that is really chewy and fatty. GROSS. Overall good place that is a quick fix. under 7 $. I say go for it ! update. just had it again and the chicken is perfect. I gotta say this is magic !!!

After having a long day ay six flags, me and my girlfriend was craving for chinese food. Not wanting to pay $ 10 for chinese food at panda express in six flags, we went on Unilocal and China express came up. We were greeted by a young lady right when we came in. The food looked fresh. My favorite was the teriyaki chicken and beef broccoli. My girlfriend got spicy chicken and pineapple chicken. She said both were excellent. For about $ 6 for a 2 item combo. I’m sold! We will be returning to try their soups when it gets colder.

China Express is the name itself — your everyday indulgence of Chinese fast food, and then some. Their Orange chicken is worthy of recommendation. For best experience, always ask for newly cooked entrées. Food — 4⁄5 Menu — 3⁄5 Price — 4.5÷5 Service — 4⁄5 Location and ambiance — 3⁄5

I just started working in the area and I was getting sick of all the fast food burger/taco places. I know it’s still fast food, although sometimes it’s not so fast but it’s because they are cooking up whatever you ordered piping hot in the back, but I was still impressed with their service and food quality. I’ve been ordering the same thing based on other reviews on Unilocal, broccoli beef and orange chicken. I love how they have the broccoli separate from the beef mixture. I’m usualy more a fan of broccoli and this way the broccoli stays crisp and doesn’t get all saucey and soggy. The orange chicken I thought was super extra hot and crispy because they made us a fresh batch the first time. But it’s not the case, everytime I’ve gotten it it’s still extra crispy and it reheats very well too. It is still pretty sweet but I’ve grown to like it. My only complain is the watered down sirracha. But I end up drowing my food in it so I guess it doesn’t matter in the end. I get the 2 item combo and usually it’s good for a meal and half and it’s costs me $ 6.20. Oh I have gotten the Wonton soup too. It comes with shrimp and imitation crab and a bunch of other veggies, it’s a nice clear tasty broth but the wontons not so much. The eggroll is unmemorable too, but you can get the combo #2 that comes with eggroll and drink for like $ 0.50 more.
