Iddy Biddy Pool School

UPDATING (again): I have had a different experience now that my son has had lessons. I was fortunate to win a session, and since my daughter had had her experience, it was now my son’s turn. He was hesitant to learn to swim (he is school aged), but after the first lesson he took to it quite well, and I am beyond pleased with his progression. It is DEFINITELY due to the instruction & instructors. They are very patient, and top rate. This time we have had Coaches Shane, Ryan & Leah, and they all have been fantastic. My experience with the sign up and front desk was a much improved one, as now they email you prior to the class starting, and also email when to register for the next session (and remind you when your session is to end). That is a huge improvement, as my last experience there was misinformation, and miscommunication that led to difficulties. Now I have to say it has been a terrific experience, and I would definitely recommend it to parents that are looking for top quality lessons, with patient, enthusiastic instructors. Especially for older children who are scared or reticent of the water. One of the best!

We are BIG fans of Iddy Biddy Pool School! Both of my children were apprehensive of water when they were little. My son to the point that even showers and baths were traumatic. Within a few sessions at Iddy Biddy Pool School they were both a lot more confident and started to love being in the water! The coaches are very well trained and really have a good grasp on how small children think and act. The classes are small with only 4 kids per coach, which allows the coach to work with each child wherever they are in their skill level. I love that the pool is always at 92°, I feel like the kids can concentrate a lot better when they are warm and comfortable. The facility is always very clean and well taken care of. The staff is so friendly. They really do go above and beyond. Free prenatal and baby classes are offered, both of which I have utilized and enjoyed. One downside I have found is due to limited pool space the classes are limited so they fill up very fast. Although that is also a testament to how great the classes are. Another downside is that there is only the one location in Sycamore. I live close to Rochelle and have to drive 35 minutes to get there. I highly recommend Iddy Biddy Pool School to anyone with kids.
