Woolwich Diner

My wife and I have been here 3 times now and each time was a wonderful experience. We have eaten breakfast once and dinner twice, each meal tasted great, large portions, etc. A great value. While serving great food is important, I would have to say the personalities of the different servers we’ve had and especially the owner stand out the most in my mind about our visits here. The waitresses are very attentive to whatever you need and the owner simply cannot do enough to please you. We are local to the Woolwich Diner and do plan to come back at least monthly.

Slow service & hairs in the food. Avoid this place!!!
We were in the area visiting friends. Found this place on Unilocal & decided to try it. Food and service were HORRIBLE.
Walked in and was promptly seated as the place was dead (should have known this would be a bad experience as a breakfast place was dead at breakfast). Then we waited & waited & waited. Finally someone took our drink order. Coffees came but one cup had lipstick on it. Okay, things happen. We brought this up to the waitress. She apologized and brought a clean cup. Not that I was looking for it, but she didn’t even offer to comp the coffee, but, as I said, things happen.
She then took our food order. When our food came the order was wrong. We sent the food back. The correct orders came out. This is were things get gross. We then found hairs (yes, not a hair but HAIRS) in one of the breakfasts. This was the last straw. I didn’t bring this up because we don’t live in the area and won’t be back. I asked for the check then waited & waited & waited for the waitress to pick up my credit card. We must have waited for 15 minutes after she dropped off the check. Again, the place was dead so there was no excuse for this. I left the exact amount plus a dollar tip. I NEVER done this in my life so I felt terrible not leaving a tip, even with this horrible experience. I’d be surprised if this place will be open in a year from now.
This place is VILE. You’d be better off going to a Dunkin Donuts in the area.

Very good food! Great value too! So nice to have a good diner in town!
