What a wonderful salon! The staff is friendly, the location is great and the salon itself is clean. The ocean view is incredible. I have had my hair highlighted, cut and blownout by Toni — all wonderul. It is so great to have this little salon in the suburbs and not have to travel to Boston for the same quality work.

Salon Incognito is a hidden gem right on the Lynn-Swampscott border. The salon faces the ocean and parking is plentiful. As for the services — top notch! Everyone is friendly and low key. I have been a client of Toni Torelli for almost 2 years and she has seen my hair through many transitions: Pixies, bobs, different colors. My hair always looks fabulous and I am a tough critic. And the best part? You get Newbury Street quality without the high prices. The cuts and color are fairly priced and they do not try to up sell you any services or products. This is my first Unilocal review and I cannot say enough wonderful things about Salon Incognito,

Anyone looking for a new and fun cut and color needs to go see Toni! She’s so sweet and personable, and it’s obvious she cares about hair because hers is beautiful. I always enjoy getting my hair done by her!

I found this place two years ago when I still lived in lynn ma… and was satisfied with my results the first few times I went there. Until the end of the summer in 2014 when I desperately needed a color. I called to make an appointment with Terri who was my go to colorist. I loved my hair every time she did it. At the time I was living in Boston, but still opted to make the trip back to my hometown because of my previous experiences. I took a morning off from work to go here and drove down and arrived at my appointment. I never recieved a phone call from them, but when I got there, their new stylist Brittany Hayward greeted me at the door and told me to come sit in her chair. I was confused but figured Terri must be finishing up with a client. Brittany, started the initial consultation with me and surprised I asked, «Are you doing my hair or something?» She gave me a look and said«yeah». I was stunned, and asked why Terri was not doing my hair. Annoyed she proceeded to tell me that Terri was backed up with clients and didnt have time for me today. –Now I completely understand it gets busy, and cancellations happen. However, those situations warrant a phone call to ASK their client if they are comfortable with a new stylist, and the client should be able to decide if that is okay with them or if they wish to reschedule. Even that would be an inconvenience, but it would be an understandable one. …no phone call was made and i didnt find out until I got there. But because I had already taken the morning off from work to get this done, and drove all the way from Boston, hesitantly I said well, how could you mess up a few blonde highlights. I asked Brittany to do the balayage with blonde-she started her FOILS and threw me under the dryer. Then proceeded to take another client. 20 minutes went by, and i asked her to check them,(because my hair picks up blonde extremely quick-which I informed her before she started). She checked them and said i needed more time. 30 more minutes went by and I asked her to please wash me out, this is way too long for my thin hair to be sitting in bleach. She gave me a dirty look and then walked out of the room, which i guess was to ask sara to wash me out. I was really worried at this point and you could see it on my face, but sara washed me out and started saying how beautiful and how wonderful it looked, and I started to feel a little better. Until I looked in the mirror. My ENTIRE head was bleached. Im a natural brunette with medium brown hair. half of my head was orange, and the other half was almost platinum white. I was so nervous to even touch my head for fear that my hair was going to fall out. I couldn’t believe it. I was so upset that I started crying. I told them right away this is NO where near what I asked for. and they tried what they could to tone it down but it still came out an orangey weird color. it literally looked like someone threw up on my head. This entire time I was freaking out, I did not get one word out of Brittany, NOTHING. There was no apology or attempt to try and make me feel better, all i got was a bad attitude and tons of tisking and sighing.. Sara told her to fix it, and I told brittany to not touch my head again. I pulled terri aside and she said she would come in tomorrow to fix it and dye me back to my natural color. I did not pay and I left. Sunday rolls around and I drive all the way back to swampscott from Boston, taking more time off from work, to meet Terri, who came in on her day off. Terri really tried to go above and beyond for me, and I really appreciated that. But while I was there, she was in contact with Sara who was insistant upon payment for the services. Now listen, I would not have left there without tipping Terri extremely well. It was not her fault that Brittany completely f*cked up my hair-that is an inexperienced hair dressers mistake-not Terri’s. But for Sara to insist on the fact that I pay for the cost of what I initially came in for AFTER their hair dresser ruined, and completely damaged my hair is unacceptable. I told them that although I WILL be tipping terri, I am not paying a dime more than that. they accepted that, and then proceeded to ask me not to write a Unilocal review, because they finally have good reviews on Unilocal and didnt want to ruin that. I’m writing this now because every morning when I go to do my hair, that is STILL fried and damaged and not grown in properly because of where hair literally burned off my head from the bleach leaving more than a couple bald spots… I can’t dye or do anything with my hair STILL because it has never properly gotten back to normal even after many treatments and attempts to get it healthy again. I wouldnt recommend this place anymore, I go to SHAG in South Boston, its a little pricier but 200% worth it. Don’t waste your money here, or your healthy hair.

Been going to this Salon for about 12-years now. Highly, highly recommend my color guru Angela Parissis. When I wanted to bring my naturally blonde hair back to as close to natural as I could, Angela spent 1-hour just consulting with the other sylists and the owner on how we could do it. And we did! So happy. Place is vibrant and fun!

I have been going to Incognito for many years. My stylist is Angela and she is wonderful! She is truly a warm, sweet, genuinely a nice person, 100% pure. She always makes sure you are comfortable, asks if you need anything, etc… My color always looks great and I will never go to anyone else. The salon is so conveniently located and who wouldn’t love ocean view? :) Everyone is always friendly and I must say if you’re ever lucky to be shampooed by Donna, it’s paradise!!! Best head massage ever!!! Angela has always gone above and beyond for me and will even to come in on her days off if that works better for my schedule. Highly recommend her to anyone. :)

I’ve have been a client of Amy G for 9 years and totally disagree with John h. In fact I was in the salon when she(not John) called and she was nothing but trash mouth. I, along with everyone else in the salon would be happy with her not returning to the salon. If you are late, whether you call or not you have to live with what they have time to do, as you are now using time scheduled for another client. I’m sure if you were on time they would have had time to give you a perm, but you were late so how is that James fault or Amy’s fault? They are a very busy salon and cannot spend hours on the phone dealing with someones rants. It takes away from the client sitting in the chair. I have never had any issues with Amy G in fact on two occasions I have showed up on the wrong day and she made time for me. She has always been open to my requests, as well as has excellent ideas when you just want something different. I’ve never been disappointed, Amy is very talented at what she does. Knowing Amy’s personality if you didn’t like your color, I’m sure she would have been happy to correct it. Please do us all a favor and go to Newbury street where you pay $ 300.00 dollars and wait 3 hours. Please folks don’t listen to John h(or whatever her name is) go there you’ll enjoy the experience!

sorry to say not to happy with this place Amy G who rents a chair from the owner was my stylist my last visit was a disaster hair color wrong and cut too short so gave her a brake didnt complain and left, cancelled my next appoinment due to my schedule so decided to give her another chance booked for a perm with trim james made the appointment apparently only gave her a half hour I was running 10 minutes late and called as a courtesy and was told to reschedule she was over booked which by the way she always over books her schedule at first she wouldnt get on the phone because she was behind I travel about 40 miles to get to this place and I yelled at the person who answered the phone and feel bad for that so finally Amy got on the phone not caring that she will be loosing a client I explained my frustration and she still didnt care she must have too many clients to care about just one so I will never go back to this place again they are just to busy for me I also asked to speak with the owner Andrea who wasnt in and they have no manager to handel these situations I manage a business myself and have never delt with a place like this they need help and yes some of the staff does great hair etc but the client relations should be number one in any business they need to stop trying to be newbury street and try to be Lynn /Swamscott line and learn how to handle business

I would recommend this place to ANYONE, men women and children. The place is right next to the beach with plenty of street parking. Everyone that works there is as nice as can be. I love my stylist Toni she does an awesome job every time. Besides hair they also offer nail services, waxing and make-up applications. I’ve been going there for years and will never go anywhere else. The prices are great, the people are great and the location couldn’t be any better
