This restaurant replaced Aliessio’s(in the Publix plaza) when the latter moved about a mile west on McGinnis Ferry. We had never tried it, but were in the mood to experiment with some place new. The main difference between this place and most of the Tex-Mex places is the menu. There are no combination platters here, though you could construct them yourself a la carte(though that would cost more). They *do* have a variety of their own platters, which is fine. It was not hard to find something worthwhile. I had a set of 3 hard tacos(Americanos?). They were good, and the salsa tasted quite fresh. My wife had some fish-based soft tacos, and she thought they were fresh also. I’d probably give them a 3.5 rating if I could. If you’re in the mood for something a bit non-standard, it is worth checking this place out.

I think they have fixed the kinks, service was great, food was very good and timely AND last night was $ 1 tacos! I will go back again and bring a lot more friends.

Took my son here before a scouts meeting. My family has eaten here before, but this time we had to pass. We stood in the host area for about five minutes and watched staff glance at us, but not say anything. I’m not sure if they saw us put our coats back on and leave.

Sunday lunch, took an hour to get our food. Three tables left while we were there. The server was embarrassed but could not fix what ever was going on in the kitchen. To top it off the place was not busy. Food after waiting was average at best and then I was over charged, did not argue just wanted to get out of there. Too many good Mexican restaurants, we will not be back.

I’m really sad because this place is so close to where I live but they just can’t get the food consistently good. The first two times we can we were really delighted the last 2 times we went it was not good. Last time we went with a big party and so many things came out wrong or were misunderstood by the waitress taking the order we had to say something to the mgmt and I dont like to do that. Menu print is too small for my Mother to read in dim lighting. Bummer, I had high hopes.

Been here a few times since it’s so close to home. Decent Mexican food at a reasonable price. The staff is very friendly. We haven’t experienced any wait time issues that others have mentioned.

They are really flexible with their substitutions. Just ask the friendly staff. As far as their choices, I def didnt like the mexican tacos. I didn’t really enjoy the beans that they served. It was served in a soupy water. But, I would recommend the chipotle tacos. A-okay

Food was great, wait staff is very inexperienced. Service was slow, order was incorrectly entered and we overall had a pretty unpleasant time. May go back but it will be awhile.

Have been there twice, and are definitely going back! The first time I visited I brought along my little pooch since this place has a patio and is K9 friendly. Unfortunately, the patio was being painted and I had to take the food to go. When I got home I was ecstatic at how good the Asada was! The rice and beans were great too! The whole meal was delicious and seasoned perfectly. I returned there yesterday with my pooch and we sat in the patio. This time I decided to try the«Pollo Norteno» and it was awesome!!! The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. They made the whole experience very positive. My pooch also enjoyed the occasional«oops, that fell off the table». All in all, a wonderful place worth getting to know, and enjoying the food.

Always thought this would the perfect spot for an excellent Mexican restaurant and this place definitely delivered on that. The décor is the perfect mix of modern and traditional without being tacky. The servers were top notch having no problem going the extra mile to make sure our experience was memorable in the best ways. The food was far superior to the typical«número dos» style food we’re used to getting in the stereo-typical MR. I had the fajitas and was very impressed with the amount of food that was included and the great flavors they were able to pack onto the plate. I would definitely recommend making this your go to restaurant when you need to satisfy that urge for margaritas, chips and salsa and great Mexican food!

We’ve been here twice so far. The first visit was just«meh», but it was right after they opened so I chalked it up to opening week jitters. We visited again last night and I’m going to give them 4 stars. The food was excellent and portion sizes were large. However, service was a bit off, but nothing to get excited about. All in all, this place looks like it will be here for a long time. We will definitely be back to try out the Margarita line up. Cheers!

FOOD-OK, DRINKS-CANTTASTETHEALCOHOL, SERVICE-VERYSLOW, PRICE $$, STAFFFRIENDLY, New Mexican restaurant which we were excited to have nearby. Had the american taco– good; was your ordinary soft taco with beef, shrimp fajita –ok but was only mildly warm & not hot as you’d expect, hot plate of meat fajita with cactus– the meats(chicken steak) were ok but later in the night had stomach ache cramps which we suspect was the cactus. Restless night after eating that meal. Price was $$ out of 4 so it’s pretty reasonable for what you’re getting. They took forever to get our drink and meal order and then it literally took 45mins and 3 refill baskets of tortilla chips before the kids meal and taco came. We observed that at least 3 tables that sat down AFTER us had gotten their food before us and one table ate, paid and left before we got the first half of our meal. Manager spent 10min talking to his friends in the booth in front of us while we waited forever for our food, didn’t come to our table to check on us or check on our food. Also we had two glasses of wine and two glasses of sangria. I could hardly taste the alcohol in the sangria. Need to refresh bartenders skills. Décor is dark with a lot of wood, has some ponderosa ranch tchotchkes. Lots of TVs broadcasting the sports games I’m probably going to go back and give them a second chance since they just opened up a couple of weeks ago so they’re probably working out some kinks.
