Best Western Plus Hartford Lodge

This place is a gem! wow it’s soooooopo comfortable. clean and the bed is the most comfy we have had on this trip.

Had a GREAT NIGHT stay and breakfast here. Would stay again over and over. Really pretty, all the amenities, taylor made free breakfast of omelets or pancakes and many other sides, indoor pool, comfy beds, and very friendly and helpful staff. Plus. free cookies on arrival! They also have pet rooms.

Clean rooms, friendly staff and a fabulous breakfast! We were traveling up to Portland and needed to stop for the kids and had the best breakfast of our trip.

Definitely stop here if you need a good nite rest. The rooms are very clean, I absolutely love the beds. And Sergio made us the best pancakes you could ask for.

This is the quintessential traveler’s hotel for an overnight stay. Cleanliness, comfort, friendly staff, everything maintained very well. Right down to the coffee mugs, personally cooked breakfast, and efficient, competent check in. My first score of a hotel is the bed and pillows and mine was top shelf.
And then add some real finesse like the little touches like the towel folding into animals and a beautiful fan.
The Hartford stays on my travel planning list for trips through the neighborhood.

This was a wonderful place to stay! Very friendly staff. Parking lot is patrolled over night. Indoor swimming pool and laundry room. Free breakfast was delicious! The bed was super cozy!

So its clean and decent. It does have some issues. First the ac has to be set to 60 to keep it running. The tv remote dosent work due to a leaking battery that is oozing out, good thing they put it in one of those clean and fresh just for you bags. They dont have disposable cups and instead have glass which would be a nice touch if they were clean. Decent price.

My wife and I stayed at the Best Western Plus in Sutherlin, Oregon last week, and had a very good experience. Upon Check in they give you free delicious cookies. The room was very clean and the Bed and Pillows were so comfortable. The morning breakfast was so unique because they actually have a chef cooking to order Eggs and Omelets. Chef Sergio was working so fast to please everyone, and he cooked the Omelets perfectly. The Hartford Lodge in Sutherlin is a nice place to stay at a good value.

Nicest place to stay in or around Roseburg/​Sutherlin.
No, this isn’t the Hilton, but for a small town hotel, this is a GREAT place to stay.
The rooms are clean. The staff are incredibly nice and accommodating! Sergio, the chef, makes omelets, pancakes or eggs made to order. Pool and jacuzzi are clean and maintained as is the rest of the property.
Great place to stay!

Clean room. Quiet. Comfortable beds. A large selection of TV channels. Every guest gets a cookie at checkin from the small onsite bakery. In addition to the normal breakfast bar, they have an onsite Chef preparing your choice of 3 breakfasts, including omelettes, pancakes or eggs with choice of sides. My omelette was very good and not oversized to the point of where I was stuffed. Overall very good experience and value for the price. I would stay here again if I was passing through on another trip.

Super friendly, went out of their way to accommodate. us since we arrived very early for wedding. Bed was super comfy, room super clean, pool and spa were great and they supplied pool towels. Lots of little extras in the rooms to make you comfortable

I look forward to staying here wherever we are traveling through Southern Oregon… clean, friendly, all the extras.

I’m just not staying in the same hotel/​motel that these five star reviews are talking about. This is a clean motel where you park your car outside your room (or someone else parks right outside your room and stands there and smokes for most of the evening). The TV is junk (who cares but you are stuck in the middle of nowhere so a bit of noise would be welcome). Plus if you have dogs you have to stay on the ground floor. So yes, it is a clean motel. But a very overpriced one at that.

I’ve worked in the hotel industry for 20+ years, this Best Western really knows how to make itself stand out from the pack. Great job! They really have all the little touches that make for a wonderful stay.

The pros are what you will read in other reviews. Very clean, presentable, warm cozy Lobby, friendly staff.
Cons outweigh everything else! This is the noisiest place I’ve ever stayed! It’s basically a motel. Your room faces the parking lot! A semi truck decided to pull in off the I5 highway and leave its engine running for God know how long at 3am. You can hear all of the highway traffic from the room. The worst part of this stay is that they have been doing some sort of maintenance work in a space above my room and pounding/​hammering has been going on since about 4am! This place is half empty so why they would put me in a room next to one slated for repairs, etc is just ridiculous!
Lastly I chose this place so I could swim in the evening as I’m traveling for business. I called to make the reservation an hour before I checked in. No mention that the pool was unavailable for use until I arrived but of course there is a 24 hour cancellation fee so I was told I was out of luck.
I travel for business to this area. I won’t be staying here again.

After a very long day with flight delays and a rental car agency that never gets it right I made it in during the wee hours of the morning. I was greeted by a wonderful gal at the front desk who disarmed my grouch with a great sense of humor and an oatmeal cookie or two. This morning my early morning coffee was ready as early as I wanted and the breakfast room is run by more down to earth nice people. People matter and this place gets it.
The only downside is the business center is not available.

I love the style of this location, and it’s dog friendly. Comfy beds. Maybe a little noisy but you also have a great Korean place in town nearby called Migado so that makes it an extra good place to stay :)

WOW! Pleasant surprise! A couple of years ago stayed at another chain hotel in Roseburg to get closer to Crater Lake… fail! So I was a bit apprehensive.
Checked reviews of this BW and decided to give it a try. Very friendly and efficient check in — front desk was great! Score! Our free cookies were mediocre … end of the day problem? Oh well.
Didn’t use the pool/​tub — but it looked clean and inviting. The outside of the hotel blends well with the NorthWest feel and is very convenient to I-​5 — no road noise though, and ver convenient for the drive to/​from Crater Lake.
Room. Clean. Pleasant. No Odors. Bed great. Furnishings in great repair. Paint, curtains, walls. Nice nice nice. Carpet. Clean! Bathroom. CLEAN!
Its not the Waldorf Astoria… but — from a small motel perspective. NICE. Breakfast included. Not a wow moment — but from what we expected — it was VERY nice. There is a cook in the dining room to make your eggs or omelet. Other choices were good and kept clean and fresh. Nice Job Hartford Lodge!
Front Desk recommended a mexican restaurant in town. Great tip — loved it!
Makes me proud to be a former Best Western desk manager in a small motel during high school.
