Trader Joe’s

I shopped at the Surprise store for 5 years until I moved my office to the Arrowhead area. But after a few visits to the Glendale store (which was hectic, cramped by comparison, and where several needed items were out of stock), I returned happily to the Surprise store. The employees are friendly like family, and everything I need is always in stock. It doesn’t hurt to have wider aisles there than at most stores, either!

Always clean, stocked, and inviting! Plus everyone that works here is happy and eager to help you. They have great frozen meals for those quick dinner nights. We enjoy the Indian Butter Chicken and garlic naan… plus many others! Oh, and don’t forget the cookie butter!

A very nice Trader Joe’s where everything was so easy to find. There were even some samples of cookie spread and waffle biscuits that tasted like ginger snaps without all the bad stuff. I didn’t have to wait for checking out. As soon as someone saw a line, the staff member stepped behind another register to open a new line.
I love their choice of grocery bags to purchase and reuse — very Tommy Bahama!

Love this place! Friendly staff and great food a little pricey but how can you put a price on what goes into your body

Very good customer service, they take anything back you are dissatisfied with and managers seem nice. They also have a nice selection and alwsys have the items I frequent. The only thing I would change is the people who hand out food and wine samples, they seem under trained and unhappy about giving out the samples, so they almost always never have any ready for me to try. I hope they also get a location closer to Goodyear, AZ!

I’m a big Trader Joe shopper. Love the prices and you just have to know what to buy. Customer service lacks but I still enjoy the store.

Enjoy this store. Prices are great. I have many staple items I get here weekly. They also have a great selection of appetizers for parties. Staff is very friendly and store is always clean. Been shopping here almost 10 years.
I remember when my daughter was little and her loving to have her own mini shopping cart. The holiday coloring contests, and searching for hidden items in the store. My has time flew!
I love the holiday ham they get in. Nitrate free!

Trader Joe’s — 5 stars
Location: Grand and Parkview in Surprise. Easy access from either road. Plenty of parking.
Atmosphere: Welcoming and friendly. I’m always greeted when I walk through the door. It’s nice.
Cleanliness: Always clean. Never a piece of squished produce on the floor ever. It’s the opposite of the Walmart produce department. Even the restrooms are clean and cute. There’s a sign over the mirror in the ladies room that says «Smile, you’re beautiful!» That’s pretty cool.
Service: The friendly crew members are approachable and willing to help you find something or sample the delicious featured snacks and coffees.
Products: Quality products that are organic and grown with care. My go-​to items when I shop here are avocados, bananas, butter lettuce, Manchego cheese, almond butter, raw almonds, dark chocolate almonds, dark chocolate peanut butter cups, coconut milk, coconut oil, and Kerrygold Irish butter. And wine. They always have tons of great wines.
Price: Not nearly as expensive as you might think. I always scoffed at those fancy rich folk who shopped at places like Trader Joe’s and Sprouts. Those uppity bitches are just buying organic ‘cuz it’s trendy. Eh, well, maybe they were, but this market has great food and excellent prices and you never have to question the quality. I kinda dig that.

My favorite store around here :) The staff is so friendly and helpful. Its a very inviting, happy atmosphere. I have found its also the least crowded at night so that is when I prefer to shop! My only recommendation would be for them to carry more produce, especially fruits because I typically have to stop by Sprouts on the way home to get some. Other than that, great store and I love going!

Always awesome. The employees are incredible — and FUN. Easy to take back stuff if something goes bad fast. Always have had 100% excellent service and all of the products we’ve bought have been great. Plus, I trust the Trader Joe’s brand. LOVE IT.

Love TJs! This location is awesome and way less crowded than the Arrowhead store. I would have given 5 stars if they cashier seemed at least a little happy to be there.

prices great love it

I love TJ’s and do most of our grocery shopping there. This location is great with extra space and super-​friendly staff. They remember our family each time and greet our kids. TJ’s products are superior quality, non-​GMO, lots of organic, and excellent prices compared even to Walmart’s groceries.

I wish there were more of these places in Hawaii. The reason this place is awesome is because everything here is organic, natural and MSG free. Which is awesome for someone like me with an MSG allergy. The prices are not bad at all considering the fact that you are buying all natural and organic food.
The employees are super nice and the grocery store is always stocked. I would rather come here than Fryes or Safeway!!!

I love this store! Their employees are friendly and knowledgeable.
I love shopping thrte as opposed to a typical Fry’s, Safeways etc because it is stressfree and you can’t help but smile with other patrons.
What I don’t get is why a broader slice of our demographic doesn’t shop here. It isn’t aimed at an upscale clientele. in my experience, they undercut the the big box stores.

How can you say anthing bad about this place? Top notch produce, dairy, coffee, beer, and of course Two Buck Chuck. BOOM!

Love this TJ, the staff is the nicest!

This Trader Joe’s is WAY better than the one at Arrowhead! Parking is plentiful and easier. This store is also bright and cheery, not a dark cave like the Arrowhead location. The other thing I really like about this location was it wasn’t crazy busy like the Arrowhead Trader Joe’s.
It faces away from the street, so it might be missed driving along Grand, I accidentally stumbled upon this TJ’s when I was next door at GOODWILL.

LOVE Trader Joe’s…any of them! This one is pretty off the beaten path of «Surprise» AZ, but well worth the trek as its not that busy and the customer service is personal.
The manager stopped and talked to us for a while as he noticed the HPU (Hawaii Pacific University) shirt my hubby was wearing and come to find out we had some states in common. Super nice guy.
But yeah, the products are great, cheap and as everyone knows the best thing about Trader Joe’s? Awesome 2 buck chuck. =)

Cons:
There’s no Trader Joe’s in Hawaii… boooo!!!
