Complete dump. You think a place in this location and having the revenue that it does, would upgrade the place. I hate when we play here. It belongs in the Ghetto, not Superior and Boulder. They make a ton of money, upgrade this S@*}€ box !!

For a hockey player, this is the best value on planet Earth. haha. $ 40 for all-you can play, which can get as crazy as playing 16 times a month. I usually skate 2 – 3 times a week. 90% rinks are $ 10 a skate, or more. I’ve been a member for a year, and the staff has been nice every single time I am there. Good management, nice people, and the quality of ice meets my expectations. *Disclaimer: In about a year, there will likely be a new rink(s) which will replace this current sheet. It is quite possible members will not have the same $ 40 a month option. Yes, the facility will likely be 10x better, larger, etc… with the same staff. At $ 70 a month I would still give it 5-stars.

I took my little one here this past Monday because She’s a winter bunny and loves the cold. I got a deal off of living social at $ 8 for two and hot chocolate. It’s near my house and the open skating is from 0850 to 0950. We got there just on time and there were 2 other people there skating on this huge rink. All the kids were probably in school. It was perfect because I haven’t ice skated in over a decade and my little hadn’t before so it was safe if we fell not having to worry about being pumped or getting in anyone’s way. At first I thought an hour wouldn’t be long enough, but after 30 minutes I was done especially after a took a bad fall. Getting too old to use my body a cushion. lol The only thing I wish they had was the skating canes for children to help balance. I didn’t see any around, but will check in a few weeks when my daughters come down for the whole of December. It’s a great place to spend some quality time with your kids. Even at the regular price I think it’s worth it.

Best ice around, hard, hard, hard. Staff is nice enough and the prices are okay. It’s a metal building with a sheet of ice, about as basic as you can get. The facilities are okay and decently clean. The first time I skated there about 4 years ago it was a hole. Will, who is the hockey director, puts on a great adult hockey class every 2 months or so. Highly recommend that if you want to improve. Will also works with Planet Hockey. Those guys put on a great class/skate. I hear their hockey program is pretty good but have no first hand experience with it.

Boulder Valley Ice(bvice) is single sheet ice hockey rink. They have a handful of open skates but this rink is primarily for hockey. Hockey Leagues: They have a lunch league that plays on Mon-Wed-Fri. The lunch league is very well run. The league director does an excellent job keeping the beginner league for beginners, and the advanced league for studs(and a good intermediate league for the rest of us). The lunch games are shorter than a standard league but they cap each team at 10 skaters so you’ll get the same or more ice than you would in a typical Adult league. They also have a standard Adult evening hockey league. They will generally have two divisions. The lower of the two divisions is still pretty good. I wouldn’t recommend this league to someone that is just getting started. For that I would recommend the lunch league or the Ankle Bender’s league at the Westminster Promenade. They have a very strong youth program but my kids haven’t expressed an interest in hockey so I don’t know much about the youth program. Drop-In Three early morning drop-in sessions and two noon drop in sessions each week. The early morning is pretty laid back with a wide range of abilities. We will have a handful of skill guys some mornings but most of the skaters are at a C or D level. If you are a high skill skater with no patience for amatuers you probably won’t enjoy yourself. Goalie turnout is decent but we won’t always have two goalies in the morning. The lunch drop-in sessions are at a faster level of play. Lower skill skaters won’t see a lot of pucks after they miss the first few passes in the noon sessions. Goalie turnout is good for the noon sessions. They also have a good selection of stick and puck sessions. This is a great way to work on your skills in a non-competitive environment. Cost: The per session cost is pretty standard with what you find at the other rinks. Bvice also has a membership program where you pay a reasonable per-month cost and can skate at any of the public, drop-in or stick & puck sessions. You will also get a sizeable discount on your league fees with a membership. The per-game lunch league cost(for members) is less than half of what I pay in other adult leagues. If you skate more than once a week you can really save a lot of money with the membership They do not have a pro shop but adjacent to the rink is a sports bar and a fantastic coffee shop.
