A big thank you to Carl and John and crew for the excellent services rendered as a 50 year boat owner it is very comforting and satisfying to find a yard that exhibits to professionalism that the sunset aquatic boat yard does I found the difficult task an everyday experience if you expect the impossible it can be done but it takes a little longer. Thanks again for a job well done

Sunset Aquatic Marina is the only place I will take my boat. I have tried other shipyards and I always got ripped off. Sunset Aquatic does what they say that they will do, and they do it well, and for about what they say that it will cost. I just took my boat there for the 4th time for hull painting and some other maintenance, and I am completely satisfied with the service, the work, and the bill. These guys know what they are doing. One of the problems with boats and shipyards is that often people bring their old rustbuckets to the shipyard, and then they are mad when the shipyard finds a lot of stuff wrong with their boat that they did not anticipate. This is boating. I have found that Sunset is efficient, honest, and does good work for a fair price. Other places have variously billed for work that they did not do, treat my boat like crap, etc. Sunset does what they say they will do, they do it well, they treat your boat with respect, and at the end of the process they CLEANTHEBOAT and give it back to you in pristine condition. Count me satisfied.

I’m new to the boating world and had a leak in my boat and unfortunately defaulted to sunset aquatic shipyard. What a poorly run, inefficient and expensive place to have work done on your boat. Despite doing very minor work on my boat, they held onto it for nearly 6 weeks. The prices sucked bad enough but the time the took was the worst. To top it all off, I paid extra shipping to have a part expedited so that all work would be complete prior to a planned weekend trip. I call the manager and he assures me that the boat is ready to go and is being put back in the slip. When I show up at my slip to take off for my trip the boat isn’t there. i call the shipyard to find out that they took the boat back out of the water because it had a rusted starter. They never called to let me know. Luckily I found a great mechanic on Craiglist who saved the day. I loathe Sunset Shipyard and its manager Carl.
