I can’t say enough good things about this place. I come down to sunset beach often from Wilmington, and ALWAYS seem to have to stop here on my way back. I usually sit at the bar. Nice beer selection, friendly and attentive bartender. I’ve only had the crab cake sandwich and Caesar salad. But I can tell you what… The Caesar salad with blackened mahi mahi is OUTOFTHISWORLD. It’s super fresh, and just what I crave after being in the sun all day. I crave it. Try it out. there’s some good company to be had here

Great place to have an entertaining evening outside with good Food & Drinks. They have a menu that’s covers most of your basic areas… service was quick. Our group had a variety of appetizers and main dishes. Everything was quite tasty and was enjoyed by everyone.

Hot summer day… Cool drinks and good food … Fibber’s is the place to be. Try the Reuben it’s delicious… Truthfully, everything is good here. You can’t go wrong. The people are friendly and the vibe is positive. Don’t expect anything fancy and you won’t be disappointed.

Adorable outdoor seating. Great menu with healthy choices too. Very good food. The only negative was the long wait for the waitress to take our food order. We sat outside. It appeared as though she was the only waitress, not a good plan when it’s gorgeous out & the patio is filled except one table. Otherwise we really liked it. I ordered a lunch special of tuna salad in a half cantaloupe; very tasty and fill of flavor. Great presentation on all of our lunch selections too! A must go. They are open until 10pm(the kitchen) and the bar is open until midnight. Very unusual for this area. Great spot.

We have been coming here for awhile and will keep coming back. The food is excellent. In fact, the ribs were so good I ordered them twice in the last two weeks. The service is super. While the place is small it just never ever disappoints.

1. Unexciting menu, and quite limited. 2. She-crab soup was a tasteless bowl of idon’tknowwhat. 3. Worst sweet tea in the area– we live here. 4. The usual super slow service. 5. Chef’s salad = lunchmeat and old lettuces. 6. French dip uses thick slice of beef, not paper thin ones. 7. The onion rings are excellent! Conclusion: despite the outdoors ambiance, this will be our last visit.

Fun atmosphere, decent food. This is a great place for drinks and appetizers. Stay away from the burgers — they are frozen. The beer battered onion rings were absolutely delicious!

A nice neighborhood bar in Sunset Beach-one of the few that offers outdoor seating. Pleasant atmosphere.

Nice little place, and I mean little. Most of the seating is outside so if its not that kind of weather then your cramped in a small space inside. I had the corner beef ruebuen, husband had a burger. Both were good but it took a very long time for someone to take our order or refil drinks ect. I would go here again and give the service another try.

One of the best bars/lunch places that we have been to since visiting the Myrtle Beach area! We went with friends and had a delicious meal! Our waitress was helpful and did a great job dealing with us!(We can be tough). We all enjoyed our meals. They even had Gluten Free bread! My hubby kept raving about the shrimp burger! He even told our waitress that they should bring it on shark tank and have it shipped world wide! Lol I had a salad platter with egg/chicken & tuna salads! Lots of beers on tap and a great selection of bottled beers. They have outside seating with heaters– which is good bc the Resaturant is on the small side! Check this place out– you won’t be disappointed.

Great spot for a few beers after a day on the beach. Menu has been greatly expanded if you care to grab a bite. Overall, nice staff and cold beer.

Wife and I went here right after Christmas, was warm enough to sit outside. I got the French dip which came on a croissant with a side of potato salad. Wife got bacon salmon sandwich and crab soup. Food was excellent and great service!

Stopped here for lunch while driving around the area. I had the chicken Caesar salad that was very good and my partner had the buffalo chicken wrap that he enjoyed very much. Dined outside with lots of pretty flowers and and plants around us. Very friendly service. Would eat here again.

Food was good. Beer was cold. Note that there’s a $ 15 minimum credit card charge, I didn’t know that until the tabs came around.

Fibbers is only getting better by the day. It is truly a very friendly place for locals. There is a great selection of beverages and good food. Rich and Carroll the owners are very nice people who really understand the bar and restaurant business. Plus, they are big time animal lovers and supporters of the community. I can’t recommend enough that you try them!

Food was very good, but they charge you extra for fries or onion rings if you want them with your sandwich. They could also use some more indoor seating. The outdoor area was awesome, and the salmon BLT that I got was amazing. Definitely would return there.

We stopped into Fibber McGees after a long walk on the beach one night because it looked like a happening spot! We are told by locals that it is always packed with people and fun! It is a small restaurant/bar, so I wouldn’t recommend going here for an intimate gathering. It’s on the mainland so there are no views. But the service was fast and we had a blast. Some people say that you can’t mess up nachos but I consider myself somewhat of a nacho connoisseur… the nacho appetizer at Fibber McGees is phenomenal!

pros: food came out quickly and was good. Clean restroom and the atmosphere was wonderful. cons: I ordered the shrimp Caesar salad for dinner. Regular Caesar salad is 8.95 but shrimp(which were 6 jumbo shrimp) was 15.95. According to my math, that is more than a dollar per shrimp! I felt for that price I should have gotten either more salad or shrimp. I generally felt the food was very overpriced for what you received and know of other places in the area that are within the same price range and offer better food. My friend got a wrap which looked decent but her side of chips was literally ½ a cup. Overall, go for the beer and atmosphere but not for dinner. Also the inside looked extremely small but Luckily we were able to eat outside.

Went there on 18Oct14 a Friday evening around 6 pm. The inside is small put they have plenty of seating on the outside which is perfect this time of year as it was in the 70s and pleasant. We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table and then seated on the outer edge next to a couple of cornhole sets they have setup for customers while waiting. This becomes quite annoying during the meal as a family of about eight starting playing and having them throwing the bags and screaming right next to where you sit is distracting and makes conversation difficult. Jennifer, our waitress, took our drink orders quickly and brought them out and took our food orders. Two of us had the cheeseburgers and the other two the fish and chips. I asked for my burger to be cooked medium-well but I was informed they only cook them well done. We also ordered an appetizer of fried pickle spears which were brought out and quite good. We then waited quite a while for our meals. We had all pretty much finished our drinks and the waitress never asked if we wanted refills or stopped to explain why our meal was taking so long. It was close to twenty minutes to get the food and it was served with no apology nor were we asked if we wanted refills on our drinks. Both people liked the fish and chips which were served with fries and cole slaw. The fish was cooked well and very flakey. Both of the cheeseburgers were served with only cole slaw. My burger appeared to be either frozen or at least pre-made and it was very dry. The seasoning was good but over all I’ve had much better hamburgers at fast food restaurants. $ 9.95 for a burger and cole slaw is a little much especially since it was so dry. The fish and chips were $ 14.95, also a little on the high side when you get either one large filet like my friend or two small ones like my wife received. Our total for the cheeseburger, fish and chips, a coke, a glass of water and the pickle appetizer was $ 35.60. We probably won’t be back.
