Thank God. I was worried my vacation would be reduced to settling for Starbucks, or foraging the local town for beans to bring back to the place we are staying in Sun River. Then this place was here. This lovely place. I have mastered a standard of measurement for coffee shops all over the country and my main measure is ordering a plain latte and seeing what temperature it is when received. This place, is now 5 for 5 this week without burning a single shot of the espresso and the foam/milk ratio was perfect. One morning I decided to go for the breakfast sandwich with egg, sausage, and cheese on an English muffin. Sure, that is somewhat standard for places down to even McDonald’s, but this sandwich… so good. The yolk was still just a tiny bit runny and soft instead of overcooked and dry. Staff was also great! Very friendly and helpful. Thanks Brewed Awakenings, you added some extra goodness to my vacation.

Open at 6am, friendly, and the coffee was great. I would have taken a pic of the sausage and cheese English Muffin but it was too good. Lots of place to sit, atmosphere is local, I could literally spend the day here

Average Starbucks style burned coffee with an emphasis on the addition of sugar and milk. The drip tasted like it was a few hours old.

So my coffee was really good but the employees really wanted to get out of there last night on April 302016 My friend and I went in to get coffee. I said I would be just a moment but I will know what I want by the the time my friend orders and pays and the brunette staff said well we’re almost closed. It was Not needed in such a tone we all get tired and want to go at the end of our days work but you should never have a attitude about it.

New to the area… good, really good baked goods are hard to find! I’m not even that impressed with LaMagie(sp) but when my son wanted to roll through this place for a cappuccino we also got an almond/poppy seed muffin and it HAS to be theeeee very best poppyseed anything I’ve had. Hats off to the in house bakers– this is a fabulous item.

Went here twice during our weekend getaway. Both times I got the white cow mocha(nice and sweet!) and the second time I got a bagel with cream cheese that was damn delicious. My husband prefers Starbucks so we had gotten him an iced tea there before going to Brewed Awakenings and I almost purchased a bagel from there — thank goodness I didn’t! Brewed Awakenings was de-lish.

Pretty good aside from the long line. The bran muffin was amazing. The almond poppyseed was so-so and kind of dried out. My quiche was ok. Too greasy for my taste. Not sure if I’d go there again unless in a pinch and hungry.

Loved it here! Not a ton of seating, but super cosy and inviting! The oatmeal muffin was sooooooo delicious. Great espresso… Drinks are perfect… Service was fast, friendly, and professional! You can buy beans to take home! Don’t go to the mainstream coffee shop across the street but go here! They also have a drive thru!

After buying a coffee at the other coffee place in town, I walked in for a breakfast Sandwhich. It was so fresh and delicious from my usual breakfast sandwhich. The place was full with customers and had a really nice feel and buzz for atmosphere. An alert barrister asked me what I was drinking and asked if I wanted to try their brew. I acquiesced and found the brew to be very nice. While at home I go to one spot every day, but would definitely change my allegiance if Brewed Awakenings came to my town. Coffee was great, breakfast was great and so were the vibrant and friendly baristas. I’m hooked! Definitely worth a try cuz it will change your coffee house of choice and your experience. This is the best coffee house I have been to!

Poor service on drive through window, when you order a coffee they are supposed to offer you sugar and a stirrer, or let you know that they added sugar to your coffee. After I taste my coffee it is so bitter there is no way I can drink it, what a waste! Very frustrated

Delicious pastries! I’ve had two different coffee –Caramel/hazelnut latte — delicious! And by far the best pumpkin latte I’ve ever had! The staff is very friendly and the café itself is very warm, welcoming!

I know a specialty coffee is good when I drink it in 5 minutes flat. Not saying that is cost effective for me, but that does mean the coffee is crave-worthy! I loved the witty name of this place and the location in Sun River is ideal, as options for good espresso are far and few between way out there! I had a pumpkin latte and my friends had drip, espresso, and vanilla lattes. Everyone left the establishment cheery and properly caffeinated. It was nice to walk around the little shops with tasty beverages in our mitts. Will definitely recommend this spot to friends heading out to this region. Great coffee with nice baristas who make time to talk with the customers = a place I want to visit and stay awhile! Thanks for keeping it real, Oregonians!

Great breakfast sandwich. Delicious mocha. Comfortable to come in with my busy family. I could have stayed here hours. Definitely will be back while visiting sunriver.

My family and I went when they first opened. It was very obvious they were not staffed to handle the crowds. Took way longer than it should have to get to the counter and order, then we waited over 30 min and still didn’t receive our order. I inquired at the pick up window and our entire order(5 drinks) hadn’t even been started! Someone dropped the ball and we didn’t get so much as an «I’m sorry». Haven’t been back since.

This is a cute little place — and I love supporting local shops instead of five bucks down the street. However all three times I ordered coffee here it was so hot I couldn’t drink it for 25 minutes and I am not a wuss. My family reported the same thing happened to them. Not a lot of variety on menu. Coffee was just ok tasting. Service was fine.

I happened to be in Sunriver, OR, in need of a coffee shop to chill for about 4 hours, and decided to check this place out. I’d heard of it before, and it turns out there is one right off of UC Berkeley(GOBEARS!) on Euclid Ave. I don’t know how the one in Berkeley is, since I unfortunately never got the chance to go there, but the one in Sunriver almost matches my idea of a relaxing coffee shop. First off, their music selection is nothing but suitable for the surrounding greenery and wilderness, consisting of Band of Horses, Bön Iver, Hozier, City and Colour, Iron and Wine, Ray LaMontagne, The Head and the Heart, and many others(clearly I stayed here for a long time). I had my headphones ready, but they saw little usage during my time here. The drink I ordered was a Belgian Latte. If you like sweet drinks, this is the one for you. It’s hard for me and my sweet tooth to complain when a coffee drink tastes like pure dessert, but it is regrettably a bit too sweet, though it is no fault of the baristas. I still thoroughly enjoyed the richness of the drink(the caramel brings it all together), and I don’t think I’d hesitate to order it again if(or when) I visit here again. There are several coffee shops in Sunriver, but if you happen to be in this particular part of the grounds, go visit it. Definitely choose it over the nearby Starbucks. EDIT: Apparently, this business is in no way associated with the one in Berkeley. So I apologize for the misinformation.

Great coffee, friendly service, AND a drive through! This place is so much better than its chain ‘bucks neighbor… We came several times while on vacation and I tried various drinks. Their coolers are creamy and delicious. I also enjoyed chai and an iced mocha. All were a great pick me up while on vacation!

Came to Brewed Awakenings on a busy 4th of July weekend, here are the highlights: –Friendly staff: we were greeted with a smile and happy cashier. Despite the crowd, our order came out in a timely manner. –Good coffee: Both our Americano with cream and Black and White Mocha were prepared as we ordered and tasted great! –Food: Egg white turkey sandwich was phenomenal! Great flavor, hot and melty, and well cooked well. Chocolate chip hazelnut scone = amazing! Choc full of chocolate chips and macadamia nuts. yum. I am confused by the negative reviews! Our experience at Brewed Awakenings was terrific.

Love this cozy, quaint coffee house. I just hope that they build one in Bend, too so it can be a daily stop! Coffee and service were amazing. Love the creamy, smooth lattes. My daughter said her hot chocolate was the best she has ever had. –And the lemon bars… so delicious! I liked my drink so much that I bought their beans because I found out that they do their own roasting. Bought a couple of bags and am using this as my drip coffee at home. Really love this place. I just wish there was one in Bend too. Thank you for for such delicious coffee!

Update – tried this place again and had a perfect drink and experience! Looks like they worked out their kinks. Will be back;) Original review– Sensational pastries but possibly the worst vanilla lattes I have ever had. Been there twice– once they forgot the vanilla and the second time it just tasted awful. Listen guys, if you want to compete with the Starbucks across the street you need to pick up your game.
