I live down the street and have ordered from them all the time. However, yesterday I ordered chicken phở and found a real life MAGGOT in my soup. I called to make note of this to the manager and they said sorry and offered me another soup if I decided to come. But I would never go back. This is completely unacceptable. I’m not sure I can even look at phở the same. Such a shame.

Came in for some phở for breakfast right when they opened around 10am. I was the only one inside for a while. 96.5FM radio playing on the ceiling speakers, set at a nice level, creates a nice mood. Very spacious interior, easily 20 or more small groups could fit. The condiment set up is the standard fare, Sriracha and Hoison to add to the phở. Plastic chopsticks, small sauce dishes and Chinese soup spoons. The service was quick; my order the #14 rare steak and brisket came out a couple minutes after my order. I found the soup broth to be good, not the best, but good. Overall it’s a great place for lunch. The price is fair to cheap. If you want authentic Vietnamese phở and you are in the area this is a good choice:)

I ordered the«vermicelli bowl» which I always get at Vietnamese restaurants because it’s so predictable: vermicelli noodles with fish sauce that you pour on top into a bowl. The owner is already short with me upon seating me, but then the dish I get is flat noodles baked like a pizza meant to be rolled up into lettuce leaves and eaten while dipped in fish sauce. I’ve never gotten vermicelli and had it look like this, but when I asked the owner about it and whether I could get it changed, he scolded me for ordering the wrong dish and said all the other restaurants are wrong in calling their«noodle bowls» vermicelli. He did end up switching the pizza noodles out for rice noodles(still not vermicelli, but close enough and it tasted ok), but then said I should read the menu next time(which I had done… it just said vermicelli). –_-’ Needless to say I won’t be returning, especially with how much Vietnamese restaurant competition there is in the area.

Good food and Fast service! Food is good and definitely comfort food during a rainy day. The spring rolls and wonton crisp were great starters, the meals are good sized and the service is quick. Great spot if you are short on time.

Ate here as soon as they opened today around 10am. I figured the Phở would be the freshest then. Anyways, noodles were all stuck together, beef was a 2.0 — parts were tough and the rare steak was already cooked by the time I got it, but the soup wasn’t that hot. Broth was below average. 2 stars means I won’t go back. I won’t go back for Phở, maybe some of their other dishes. Waiter was a nice guy though. Fast service. I was the only customer so it should be fast!

They made our order here super fast. The broth was hot and delicious. The bun bo hue was spicy and flavorful. They’re not stingy with the meat either. Price is great and super fast service and they were conveniently located across from my hotel(crestview) the only thing is there is no parking in this plaza!!!

The shrimp rolls are pretty awesome. I love their chicken curry as well. I’ve been going to Phở Quyen 2 for over 8 years and they’ve remained very consistent with their food and the owner is the nicest man! He is very serious about pleasing every customer which also makes a 4 star dining experience.

Nasty… both the food and the big ass flies swarming around everywhere. Found a dead gnat floating in my Large #23 Meat Ball Soup. Blegh.

Excellent phở, chicken & rice, and spring rolls. We always order take-out and it’s delicious. Great value for the money.

Good Vietnamese food! I came here one time and had their Phở soup and it was cooked and seasoned just right. Not to salty and and to fatty with their broth, to me it’s perfect. Good ambience with a homely feel to it and good servers too. Reasonably priced, good tasting food and conveniently placed. I would eat in ANY Vietnamese restaurant first rather than eat in ANY Chinese restaurants whose servers are stabbing you/cursing you behind your back all because your’e not Chinese.

Our current go-to phở house. So far all of the phở, other noodle soups and wonton soups have been good. The egg rolls have plenty of meaty filling and are served with lettuce leaves for wrapping and yummy dipping sauce.(The only thing missing are mint leaves to seal the deal) The pork chop and rice is good. Not a fan of the Thai iced tea, the curry chicken, nor the«lemongrass» chicken, which is in reality Siracha chicken. The owner is very nice and pleasant.

First of all, I walked in this place around 8 something at night. The place was mostly empty, but the waiter greet me with manners. So I’m very pleased. I ordered number 10 phở(combination, small size) and number 4(grilled pork spring roll) Pros: –good customer service –very nice place with good music –the restroom is very clean –the grilled pork spring roll taste pretty good, so I assume their rice plate with meat would be good too(will be coming back to try some of those) –the bean sprouts and basics that come with the phở was very fresh Cons: –the phở did not impress me much, very bland and small size is very small, there’s so little pieces of meat in it… Otherwise, everything is good tonight, I will be coming back and try other dishes.

Ehh, I’ve had better. The phở itself is pretty bland, the broth doesn’t have much flavor. But I have to say their broth hardly has any sodium, compared to the other Phở places here in Sunnyvale. The service is fast! The employees here are friendly, but look like they hate their job. If you live in the area, and dont feel like driving far, I would have to say this is the«best» place to get phở in town.

I am basing the review from my own dish and my friends’ comments about their dishes here. For starters, the service was good. Other than that, the food was a bit lackluster. Maybe we went in on an off day because all of the pork on everyone’s plates was dry. Some are bone dry like pork jerky. My rice plate came with shredded pork, pork chop and egg cake. The dish was rather bland. The shredded pork was thick and did not have much flavors and was dry. My pork chop was also dry even though it appeared as if glistening with oily goodness and the egg cake was rather good albeit a bit hard. It became the star of the dish, which was unexpected. The fried rice noodle dish with pork had delicious fried noodle but the pork was so tough and chewy which kind of ruined the dish. The«bun» or rice vermicelli with pork also had an abundance of meat that was lacking in moisture. The price is very reasonable so I gave it 3 stars. I had wanted to like this restaurant and the food but it just did not happen.

4.5÷5: The pork banh mi is very good: They use the same grilled pork that they use in the bun. Very nicely seasoned, just«chared» enough, lots of meat. $ 3.50. Way better than Huong Lan. 3⁄5: I really like the al-dente stiffness of the rice vermicelli. the shrimp & beef onion rolls are OK:

This is a pretty good place for a hungry lunch. We randomly picked to go there, wanting to try a new place and because Shaun wouldn’t stop the car at any of the Indian places or the burger places, and I am glad we did. This was my first vietnamese experience, so I can’t compare it with any other vietnamese restaurant. But, by itself, the grilled chicken was awesome, the people were very friendly; I had asked them how to pronounce the vietnamese words on the menu — rating++ for improving my Vietnamese: D The place wasn’t so super neat, but I felt it was sufficiently neat. I would visit them again :) Fun fact — I asked the lady why its called phở quyen2 and she told me that there was apparently a phở quyen in Cupertino when this place started and so the 2.

I’m not sure what we were thinking when we decided to give this place a shot, but we were obviously out of our minds. There was only a single Caucasian diner in the far corner and they were about to close within the hour, but for some reason my girl had lost her Vietnamese senses on this particular evening and urged we go in to try this place out. We both got the combo phở with the rare beef on the side. We screwed up on all fronts. First off, ordering the phở. Talk about a mistake of GIGANTIC(Font size 1000? Are you out there?) proportions. It came out lukewarm and the overall flavor of the broth was atrocious. Also, left one of the worst aftertastes ever in my mouth. Granted, I’ve never worked a glory hole and hopefully never will, but I can’t imagine feeling any more gross in my mouth than after having some of the soup here. Second mistake was asking for the rare beef on the side. I don’t know how they define rare, or even beef for that matter, but the coloring was completely off, in that it was more of an orange tint than pinkish. Whatever it was, we dumped it in the equally nauseating broth and let all the garbage mingle among themselves. It was beyond disgusting, so much so that neither my girl nor I finished our bowls of phở and we basically always do. We were seated next to the kitchen and weren’t shy about telling each other how much our bowls sucked, so I’m sure the waitresses heard. When we left to pay, the male owner up front was friendly and jovial, but that was probably because he thought he had two suckers in front of him who might return if he befriended us. I don’t care if he won Mr. Congeniality in Vietnam for two decades straight, I wouldn’t come back here for the phở even if I reached Syd Barrett level crazy. If lukewarm, gross tasting broth with soggy noodles and mystery meat on the side is your cup of tea, then you must make a pit stop here! I think I’ll just save the cash and slurp up some vomit off the street(unless it is from a patron who left this establishment, of course). A more acquired taste, but quality is on par.
