This place used to be the franchise for Minh’s restaurant until few months ago. Now it’s called Le Bön cuisine. I used to be able to order beef and seafood phở ap chao(crispy stir fry phở noodles) now they charge an extra $ 2.50 to do combo/both even if they gave equal amount of serving. This place deserves about 2 stars but I gave it an extra star for the convenience location since I work less than 5 minutes away and are limited on where to take my Vietnamese customers for lunch. Food is not bad but they need to increase staff as they are low and very slow with service. Just my recent visit with a customer, I ordered seafood stir fry and got beef. My customer’s phở did not come out until 30 mins later and we had to ask for it, not sure if they would have brought it out if we didn’t ask for it. Not to mention, the few times before that they got my co workers order wrong and never offered discount on the check. The previous owner not only made the crab stir fry bean thread noodles himself, he had a lot of good service to offer his customers. Minh’s restaurant in Milpitas is definitely better and original in my opinion.

Love this place. Live in the area and go here exclusively for Vietnamese. Have taken friends and relatives and never a bad experience. Prefer it over the Milpitas location.

My friend Sarah and I went to Minh’s Phở today, not our phost time but definitely unphogetable. Our waitress even complimented me on my brows #onfleek. Top notch service, with the exception that our table didn’t have any spoons which we needed to wait on. The phở noodle Minh serves is a thicker version of the original, personally I pre phở this. Overall phở king photastic, but a heads up, don’t go there when it’s busy. Done that and don’t recommend as they may or better yet will get your orders wrong if you have a large party.

I walked in for the first time for lunch, phở was good portions a bit on the small side but good. I am sure to stop by for lunch when i am in the area. Gave them 4 stars for flavor and freshness. So i would definitely recommended it.

Used to be a great place. No more. They got rid of the garlic filet mignon rice plate. They put in a iPad based ordering system that caused an error that delayed my lunch over 30 minutes. The staff isn’t good with English so if you do not understand Vietnamese you can get mistakes and misunderstandings. Another in my group got tripe in soup even though he had asked for meatballs instead if tripe. I find no more reason to return.

Serious problem with service during lunch time, waiting time is longer than you can expect. Beware that they have short stuffs. Food is OK.

Things were alright. I got the regular sized phở with rare steak. I thought their beef was pretty good, tasted pretty fresh. Also, my friends with me thought their regular portion was smaller than the typical«small bowl.» However, the broth was not as tasty compared to some other phở places. I would’ve preferred having the sriracha and hoisin sauces in squeezable bottles rather than in a jar to scoop out with a spoon(hard to scoop out as the sauces are relatively thick, and seems less sanitary in a jar too). The water did not taste very good; pretty poor quality tap water. Service was courteous, but relatively slow compared to most vietnamese restaurants. They are located in a kind of random location, not much else in the nearby area. Looks like they are renovating to make the place better. Currently, they are operating on a «limited menu» until renovations are complete(still plenty of options available though).

Quality has gone down since they change ownership. Eggroll skin was so hard and chewy that I had jaw pain for a week after that lunch. Then I went back another time, and their Bun Cha Dong Xuan was horrible. The vermicelli was dry and the meat are full of fat and roughage. I do not plan to return to this restaurant again.

Minh’s is just a shadow of what it use to be. The new management has changed everything but the name. From the service to the prices to the exterior of the building everything has changed, most of all the food. They will try to tell you that the recipes are the same, but long time patrons will know better. I will not be returning after today’s lunch. Such a pity because it use to be the best VN food in town.

They changed owners. Prices gone up and definitely not as good in tastes. Miss the original owner and his mom in the back kitchen…

Really good food, excellent service, and good prices. We had the Beef pan-fried noodle plate and the pork chop rice bowl, both highly recommended.

********************* 1268 ********************** I used to like Minh’s restaurant a lot. The food is quite good. My mom is from the North of Vietnam, so she said the food here is authentic and tasty which dad and I both agree. We love BUNRIEUOC here, rice stick noodle tomato with crab/shrimp paste & snails, serve with herbs & veggies! BUNCHATHITNUONG — grilled pork with rice stick noodle. The pork was tender, nice textured & seasoned very well. And of course, their PHORAREBEEF, rare beef noodle soup, the broth is so delicious. Here is my problem with this restaurant. For the last 2 times we came here. The white tablecloths were extremely DIRTY and it looks like it hasn’t been washed for months. I asked the server and he gave me a DIRTIER look than their tablecloths, see my pictures. It doesn’t matter how good your food is, but if you can’t keep it clean in the front of the house, I don’t really want to know what is going on in the kitchen.

My goto Vietnamese. They had me when I walked in the first time and they served me spring rolls with the peanut sauce warmed up. I was sold. I’ve tried most things on the menu, the phở and spring rolls are still my favorite. Mostly I love how authentic the place is. Both in terms of food and atmosphere. They even have the traditional groups of old men outside eating, smoking, drinking coffee and solving the worlds problems(I’m guessing). Don’t worry, smoke doesn’t enter the restaurant.

Really not my cup of tea — so to speak. Ordered the grilled beef over vermicelli, and also asked for hot tea. The beef was definitely grilled — to the point of being crunchy. The vermicelli was not anything I would be excited about, but the top part was tasty from the sauce from the beef. After that, plain boiled vermicelli noodles. Under the noodles was the salad. Not the type of serving I would have expected. OK, so two of us ordered hot tea, which was so weak it tasted like merely hot water. The other two our group asked for just water, and got glasses of HOTWATER! Probably no different than the tea we got. Might(but unlikely) give this place another shot. It seems to be a very popular venue, so maybe I just didn’t order the right item.

I came for the first time because of the reviews. I ordered a small phở with rare beef and brisket. The soup is very bland and the beef slices are more than 50% fat.(See picture) I would not recommend the phở from this restaurant. It’s far from authentic. Oh, and they added my bill wrong.

It was a cold day, chills all the way to my bones, rainy and my friends and I happened to drive by Minh’s We decided to give them a try and low and behold. their Phở was really good. Its the only thing I have ever ordered here. The broth is good and so are the noodles. I am actually impressed. An above average phở restaurant. Actually I would give them a B+. :)

I have been here quite a few times but I was disappointed by my last visit. The meat quality was not great and appeared to be the scraps of the day. It was quite stuffy inside and some of the white table clothes looked filthy to the point where I did not want to lean too close to the table. In any case, I always order the northern pork which comes with noodles and an abundance of veggies to wrap the meat in. I hope next time will be better. The server was friendly and the food came out promptly.

The eggrolls were good enough to send my coworkers into a debate over the last time they’d had a decent Chinese eggroll and how Vietnamese eggrolls are the only way to go nowadays. I decided to be safe and get the Phở, but the noodles were softer than I was used to(I like my noodles chewy), and the meat was too thick. My coworker got the stir-fried phở noodle special, and apparently it’s very rare for them to actually fry the noodles, so he was pleased. I’m going to have to try it out next time. It’s a Vietnamese restaurant with real Vietnamese food – the place was full within 10 minutes. Our server was really nice and service was fast, though I think he got two orders wrong(if you can’t memorize all of the orders, write them down, maybe?). I was pretty conservative with my choice, but I might be back to try those stir-fried noodles.

This place seems to have a chef of northern origins as you see the dish of Shrimp and Yam fritters(Banh Tom) that you dont see on a lot of menus. The phở here is also has distinctions in the flavor of the broth and the fact that they user wider rice noodles. Broth is clear like a consommé and the quality of the beef, tendon, tripe and brisket is good. It’s pretty quiet after 1.30pm so it sounds like we miss the normal crazy rush. I do miss the old tea braised duck noodle soup of the former place here but I guess you gain something new instead.
