I went in to buy a 10g gold coin at Diwali. They were price gouging on that day due to the festival. A 10g gold coin listed on their website: for approximately $ 380 was being sold in the store for $ 420. The lady behind the counter said we have not updated our algorithm on the website and I cannot honor that price today. She said there is a huge demand for these 10g coins, and the supply is low at the moment, so we are having to buy them at a higher rate, and resell at a higher price. I called another local coin dealer within minutes, and they gave me the same coin for $ 400 and said there is no shortage of these coins, they had a large supply and could easily order more the next day if they ran out. Shop around before you buy from sakhi jewelers, you can get a better price elsewhere.

One thing I HATE about businesses is when they talk crap about their competitors just to boost their business. I walked in here one day and was just window shopping. The owner asked me random questions and I told him I am just looking around. He started bragging about how he’s the only one who sells real 22K gold while other people don’t while they claim they do. He said he has heard lots of complaints about them already and went on and on and on about it. Well, gosh, why are people coming to YOU and complaining about them? Are you a jewelry patrol??? It’s one thing to warn people about a potential fraud in a nice way, it’s a completely different thing to present the story with your bias in it while painting yourself as a saint. Don’t get me wrong, the guy seemed nice, but VERY sketchy to me. He did not seem honest or genuine to me. After this experience, I would never go here again. In response to your comment, I am 100% certain(if not more) it was this store. In fact it was you who spoke to me. I know you mainly sell coins. Anyways, the point being, please don’t bad mouth your competitors, it only brings down your credibility.

This place is as sketchy on the inside as the neighborhood around it. I went in hoping to sell some scrap silver and a few pieces of gold, and the first thing to hit me was how unkempt the place was. The ceiling is literally falling apart with water stains. It looked like it was being held together with the cheap 70’s gold paneling that decorates the entire room. Regardless the next thing was the service. Now i don’t know if it’s just me, but as soon as i walked in i was told to, «just sit over there». Nothing else. So aside from the poor customer service from a person who looked like they hated everything in the world, the poor condition of the tacky room, and overpriced merchandise, this place sucks and i’m never going there again.

When I buy silver I go for clean generic 1 oz coins. They had plenty of options both generic and not. The coins aren’t all clean but they don’t try to force the dirty ones on you. They charged the usual $ 3 over spot. I walked in wearing casual clothing and didn’t feel like I was being watched, just being helped. They’re nice people which oddly isn’t always the case when you walk into a coin shop.

This place is wonderful. The owner is very knowledgeable and friendly. Most importantly, he is very trustworthy. I have been here twice and both times have been wonderful experiences. The owner is honest and pays very fairly when buying bullion. I drive out there from Monterey and will continue to do so because of the great service and integrity of the establishment.

Go in and buy Canadian maple for $ 28 when silver is at $ 19.75. Go in later to sell same Canadian maple, Silver is at $ 19.45, get offered 19 dollars. Why? Because Mac won’t hire anyone with numismatic expertise who could appraise the coins. Next time I’ll go to a dealer who knows what they are doing.
