I have been coming to this bakery with my husband for a couple of years. I can honestly say that they served the best lentil soup that money can buy. It’s thick, hot and full of tender meat and some potatoes. Very filling and DELICIOSA. This bakery is small and gets busy during lunch weekdays and breakfast on weekends. The waitress are friendly and super busy. Only gave 4 stars because the chicken portions are getting a tad small. Otherwise, good COLOMBIAN bakery/restaurant at a decent price.

Ahhhhhh, now were talking. These guys have been around for some time and the best way to describe them is consistent!!! I visit the place enough to know the owner picks up fresh products daily. He has a baker who goes every morning to make my favorite, empanadas de cambrai(it’s basically a cheesy bread filled with guava and cream cheese). The almojabanas are to die for. They also have a daily special which includes the soup of the day and a rice dish with salad and a protein. It’s is fairly priced and as close to home cooking as it gets. The kitchen is super clean. The ladies at the counter are friendly and very hard working so make sure you tip them guys. *the only thing I would recommend is to increase the portion a bit. I’ve noticed them shrinking a tad from time to time and though the quality hasn’t been compromised, I fear others will begin to look for food elsewhere. You guys give me a great reason not to cook«)

I think this little Colombian bakery has the best empanada de cambray of Queens. This kind of empanada is baked and filled up with guayaba or «guava» and soft cheese. The bunuelos, the bread, and arepas de choclo(sweet/yellow corn arepa) are also really good. Besides the pastries, they also serve traditional Colombian breakfast and lunch which I have not tried yet therefore i cannot opine. During the morning is the best time to come and get fresh warm pastries.

Delicious traditional Colombian food. You get a lot of food for a decent price. However, it is a tiny location and gets very crowded during lunch time. With only one waitress serving, you may be kept waiting. Also, no air conditioning. They do deliver, so don’t be deterred.
