The staff have been so nice and friendly each time I’ve been in. They make a great bubble tea.

A beautiful break from the city and the best part about this café is the staff. Compared to the franchise places nearby, I want this place to do better as a locally owned café because right now it feels more like a stop-and-go kind of place. This corner café grabs your attention on your walk to the subway if you are a local. Because of its floor-to-ceiling-windows that wrap around the building, the bright light gives the space a perfect break from the outside clatter. Although small, their menu is impressive with breakfast as their specialty. I love their turkey egg and cheese on toasted multigrain. The baristas and staff are quick to any request and delivering your meal in a unique wicker basket wrapped perfectly. It leaves you feeling like home. However, I have a few concerns because this place has a lot of potential.(1) With floor to ceiling windows, don’t cover up the windows to obstruct the view with cheap poster signs.(2) Stop calling it «Health Drinks» when you are not using real fruit. Powder is not healthy. At least use real frozen fruit.(3) There’s too many styles going on. There’s a potential to give it an authentic hispanic vibe that seems to be struggling to show itself. Get rid of the cheap tables and chairs and put some succulents or plants on the tables; you have the sun shinning in this place, use it!(4) The wi-fi works inconsistently, either change the password more often to ward of moochers or update the bandwidth. I want to eat and use the wifi and I seem to only be able to load up Google(5) What’s with the issue of getting a bathroom?(6) Outside seating in the summer?(7) Hire me? I’d love to help keep you open later than 7p.

Holy moly I’ve lived here for three years now and I’ve always caved into mainstream Starbucks since it’s right on queens blvd. I’ve deprived myself from this local gem called Ave Coffee House. It literally has everything you’d ever want in a café. tea, coffee, smoothies, bubble teas, fruit juices, wraps, sandwiches, cupcakes, bars, bottled drinks, big tables, little tables, free wifi, etc. It has the best local Queens vibe, it’s right at the corner of the block with windows on all sides spanning from the ceiling to the floor so you get a gorgeous view and lot’s of sunlight. I’m not here to write anything about my religious views but there’s an assembly hall for Jevoah’s Witnesses across the street and I guess they just finished a service or something and there are a whole bunch of people dressed business casual, which seems to increase the area’s moral at face value. The only downside is that they don’t have a bathroom. I got a Taro Bubble Tea, a Turkey Wrap, and Winter’s Tale opened up. It’s sunny in Sunnyside and I’m happy.

In the summer(I know is a late review) I came for an iced late, while walking my dog, so I left my dog out for a sec while I came in, put in my order, paid and came out to my dog, almost inmediately I realized I didn’t say soy milk(I’m lactose intolerant) so I went back in but they had my latte ready, I asked them if they could make another one for me, but they refused, I explained to them that I would get sick if I would drink that and with an attitude they let me know that it was done already and they couldn’t make another one. Even though I could get sick, had already paid, and returned the latte. I never got a new one. It was my mistake when ordering alright, but hey! You prefer to loose a customer over loosing a coffee? I have never and will never go back to this place after this incident, this is unfortunate since I used to like them!

This place is amazing. The ladies here always take care of my girlfriend and I. Their drink selection is incredible and they only use quality ingredients. I love that this place is our neighborhood coffee shop.

I love this spot. Me and my boyfriend come here all the time to kill time before college class. It is such a calm place, never crowded. The first time we came here I ordered a BLT on a roll with mayo am cheese, my boyfriend ordered an egg salad sandwich. We both really enjoyed these sandwiches and they had free wifi. He would do his hw there and I was just relax. The service is great, they’re so humble and polite. Super affordable too.

I passed by on my way to Starbucks and thought I’d try for a change. First problem, they don’t accept credit cards for purchases under $ 5. Second, after I purchased my coffee I found out that they will only give you Wi-Fi if you purchase over $ 3. Coffee was decent and I would prefer a non chain place but the minimum charge for Wi-Fi policy rubbed me the wrong way.

The iced coffee here is much better than Starbucks. I also like coming here for a sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on a plain bagel with a side of hot sauce. The bubble teas and mango smoothies are also banging here. I also like this place because it’s cheap and has a local feel. They prepare the food right there in front of you, so it’s not like starbucks where the cr*p is sitting there all day in a display box. The reason for four and not five stars is because if several customers come in at once, this place can get a little dysfunctional and you might end up waiting a bit. However, I am able to look past this since Ave Coffee is reliable and has a nice vibe.

Awesome place to just chill and have a sandwich. I come here during my break from work. I get the chicken cutlet on a roll which is delicious! The staff is amazingly nice and sincere!

I’ll begin with the food and drink… terrible. Iced coffee is watered down, probably just hot coffee poured over ice! The bubbles(tapioca pearls) are hard as rocks for most of them and it’s all powdered and fake tea. Everything is processed here except for what comes off the grill but I can’t comment on what products they use there since I don’t see that… otherwise everything else in the store is poor quality discount store packaged and processed food and candy. Next is the atmosphere… not at all welcoming or warm! They got rid of the bathrooms and the wifi is limited. The standards for a «café» should at least be a restroom. There’s a few tables and counter space but seating is limited and the management is all about profit and not at all about community and local businesses. Please stop giving this place business so we can hopefully get a more appropriate restaurant or café here like maybe a good local bagel shop or ice cream parlor or true local café… sunnyside needs a lot of help if it keeps getting personal gain oriented management and poor quality processed foods selling places like this!

Free Wifi and bubble tea– that’s basically the only reason why I came through here. However, it is a pretty sparse place and I don’t especially like the fact that the bubble teas are all powder based. That being said– those powder based bobas are pretty yummy.

The coffee is pretty good, the bubble tea has milk options(almond, soy, dairy), and the people there are kind and helpful. It’s not crowded like Benne, it’s not a dark crowded noisy cavern like Starbucks. It’s not hip, but it is clean, spacious, and calm.

Fresh made frozen yogurt! My review is solely based on this. It is far better than the other 2 yogurt shops in the area. They might not have all the fancy toppings but honestly it doesn’t need it. Trust me and go try this place if not for the coffee for the frozen yogurt!

The food and drink are average. The place is noisy. The positives this place had were the WiFi and the bathroom, and now with new store policies those aren’t really available anymore. Don’t recommend. Won’t be coming back.

I love this little coffee shop so close to my neighborhood. They have a variety of drinks to choose from as well as food. The people here are really friendly and they have wi-fi. Feel free to bring your laptop and chill all day there. Oh, and they play pretty sweet music.

This is a pretty cool little place that offers a variety of items from bubble tea, coffee, tea, sandwiches, pastries, cookies, etc. This place offers free WIFI which is a big plus. Its sort of like another popular coffee spot which is always crowded and seating is hard to get but this is a really better alternative. I love their frozen mocha bubble tea and I can sit there and enjoy it for a while using their internet.

Ave Coffee House has great espresso. It’s also nice to have a legitimate coffee shop in the neighborhood that has a decent amount of space for reading the paper, board games, laptops, etc. The pastries are tasty and the staff is always friendly. ACH is a pleasant place to spend a low-key weekend morning.

Cute café. I decided to call it a café since a coffee shop is totally something different in Amsterdam. Anyways, it’s really cute and cozy, and I love the service here! Friendly, but not invasive. Everything is a bit too milky for my lactose-intolerance, but there’s always an option of juice and bubble tea. The bubble tea is pretty standard, frothy juice with those crazy black balls.
