I recently took a trip to Sunbury to «explore my roots» and found this place on a Google search. After looking at the photos of the rooms, I decided I had to stay in the Lake Augusta room and bathe in the gorgeous claw foot tub. I never did manage a bath, but if I ever return to the area, you can be damn sure I will stay here again. Gary and Linda are easily among the warmest, friendliest and most enjoyable B&B hosts I have ever had the privilege of staying with. I arrived late on Friday night to a waiting envelope as Linda had promised; it contained the keys to the front door and my room, as well as some information. I was too exhausted to explore the town any further, so after I took my bag upstairs, I ran out to the Subway for a sandwich. Saturday morning I woke and ambled about before going downstairs to an amazing breakfast and great conversation with my fellow guests and Linda. Sunday breakfast was just as yummy, as was Monday’s. I lucked out and stayed over a 3 day weekend, and enjoyed great food and fun talk. Sunday my day was kind of ruined by my own medication error so I spent the entire day in my room. As Linda and Gary are both nurses, I was lucky to know that I could give them a call if I had any issues. I ended up cutting my trip short, and did not accomplish much of what I had planned, but that is NO reflection in any way on this great B&B and her hosts. If you are ever in the area, I would highly recommend staying here. And please, use that tub and let me know how great it is?
