Prairie Junction Yarn

If you want selection, this is a fine yarn store to explore. You’ll find some beautiful and unique fiber to create something totally lovely.
while I do frequent the store for location and inventory, I leave frustrated nearly every time. The owner is by far the worst customer service rep I’ve ever encountered. She is only friendly when she thinks I’m making a large purchase, has been extremely rude to my children, and never makes her gratitude apparent. Its a shame because i think she turns people off from shopping at her store.
I also find her in store pricing signage to be poor. When i have asked about a price she has been visibly aggrevated.
I would avoid the knitting group, as well. While some of the women are nice it’s not worth the $ 5.

As an avid knitter I can’t believe it took me so long to get to Prairie Junction Yarn. We’ve lived here for over a year, but I finally was able to stop in and check it our one day after stopping at the Sun Prairie Farmers Market. We had a great experience. We (my hubby, son, and friend) stopped in and were warmly greeted. We browsed for a bit before I started discussing the project being worked on by the staff. I ended up walking out with the makings for that same project.
I love having a place to go with questions and get knowledgeable help. I feel like I have that place now! Thanks PJY. I will be back with my dropped stitches and too long of sleeves. You’ve won a customer for life!
