The Sun City Library is a great little library with a good selection of Books, DVD, s &CD’s. The staff here is very friendly & helpful. As part of the Riverside County Library System, if you cant find a book you are looking for & it is at another library they will order it for you. We have done this several times for our daughter. Even though the library is in the senior area, there are plenty of selections for young & old. This library has a book store as well as many special programs for young & old alike. They have art exhibits, story telling, game nights & a Coffee club. You can find them on Facebook for more info. It’s a great place you can bring your kids to & spend a FREE, Fun Filled afternoon.

I have been needing a quiet place to study for my clinical license exam, so my good friend offered to watch my son since she has a pool to entertain him while I spend a few hours at a nearby library. This is a small library with free wi fi and computers that you can reserve for an hour of internet use. There is a teenager who volunteers there and assists people with computer registrations and answers questions. There are maybe 5 desks in the library, which is not enough when people are hanging out there to escape the heat. There is a quiet reading room and also a study room – this one can be reserved in advance. The other seated areas just have chairs with coffee tables and the electrical outlets are hidden in the floor, but angled in such a way that it is difficult, if at all possible to plug in more than one gadget. They close a bit early on Saturdays in addition to having a live band playing for the last hour. There is a decent selection of books and audio books as well as a children’s book center. There is also a book store that sells used books for a good price as well as accepts donations.

Sun City is a retirement community; the Florida of the west. So when the city decided to shell out some $$$ to remodel the library it went all out… well for Sun City anyway. The exterior is modern with all the angles and glass your 70 year-old eyes can handle. There’s plenty of seating inside, but if you try to find a seat during the summer, you won’t. These early birds always catch the worm. The book selection is thin, as you’d expect from a small-town library, but you can have books shipped from other libraries. The turnaround date is no more than 72 hours. So if you’re a resident it’s worth a shot. If you’re a student at MSJC, it’s definitely a viable option. Just don’t expect to find any worms…

The Sun City Library. What can I say? It’s new and sleek and modern. The front area reminds me of a Barnes & Noble with it’s big comfy chairs and new releases standing up on display tables, beckoning you in. Gone are the days of sauntering up to the desk to check out. It is do-it-yourself at any one of the self checkout stations, which is nice sometimes. This library is relatively small & I usually find that I need to have the books sent here from the other libraries. For book holds, you are to go and get them yourself, as they have been educating the patrons and there are lots of computers to use in case yours is on the fritz. It’s a little get-it-yourself– we have more important things to do– than you may be used to, but for the ever-happenin’ Sun City, I suppose it’s pretty a-ok.

The newly renovated Sun City Library is gorgeous! It is a brand new building fully stocked with books, CDs, DVDs, large-print books, self-check out, computers, etc. Staff are all wonderful & helpful. Online book reservations work great too. We love it there! Bathrooms are nice & clean.
