After trying countless products to wear my hair curly, especially in hot, humid weather I reluctantly tried yet another product, Esperanza’s Amazon Potion. I had little faith it would produce good results, but I’d try it. I had to be in Myrtle Beach, 95 degrees and incredibly humid, the perfect test. This product beat all my expectations. My curls are defined, controlled, and my hair is soft, not dry. I love this stuff! Thank you Esperanza!

Esperanza has the BEST, most accommodating, and friendly staff of any salon I’ve ever been to. I’ve been getting my hair done in Summit my whole life and this salon is hands down the best in town. They always make me feel welcome, even when they’re about to close on a Saturday night! I can’t say enough about this place. 5 stars!

I recently found them to use as a blowout bar. First time was wonderful. Peaceful. Thoroughly delightful. So I went again. A week later and had a different person. This one cost $ 10 more because if her«experience». It was terrible. Now, I’m tall. And I have curly hair. I do my best to shrink in the chair to help out the tech but there is only so much I can do. The only thing I kept hearing from this woman was how I was too tall and my hair was difficult to blow out. And that was between her scalding my scalp. Really? Because if it was so easy, why would I pay someone else to do it? Never going back.

Went in blind for the very first time yesterday and all I can say is, «WHATANEXPERIENCE». It was the best 3 salon hours I ever had and I have been to a few different salons locally. My appointment was with Veronica who did my highlights and my haircut. She is a hidden national treasure! She was excellent. Carlos who is the manager was amazing as well. Catered to all my needs and treated me like Im royalty from start to finish…(and even though we went past the regular salon hours, I never felt rushed). SO to sum it up, Veronica exceeded expectations and the overall salon service & experience was outstanding. Well worth the price I paid(although going forward, I wish the price is a little bit less steep so I can afford to go more often).

At first I really liked this salon, but I have not enjoyed my past few visits. Agree with Cathy’s post that my last visit was a waste of money and my wishes were not listened to. I also find it strange that they have a revolving door of junior stylists. The owner, Esperanza, is more expensive than a junior, so I usually book them. I have never had the same jr. twice, they are always gone before I come back. I think it’s super weird and speaks badly of the business owner. I don’t think I’ll be going back.

Overall great salon! From Carlos greeting you at the door, to the stylist Alysia who listens to what you want. I’m very impressed and very happy! Coming back here from now on!

Esperanza is great and runs a fantastic business. She approaches her customers with one major philosophy — give them the experience that she would expect if going to a salon. Simple, but how often people in the service industry forget about creating a positive client experience. I’ve been a customer of Esperanza’s since she opened the doors about two years ago. Every visit is a pleasure. The staff is warm and inviting, from Carlos who manages the salon and greets guests, to the various assistants who give great hair washes, and through to Esperanza herself. Top notch, independent salon that I can’t recommend highly enough.

I just moved to Summit from San Diego after having my same hair stylist for the past 10 years, and prior to this I was also in cosmetology school myself, so I know how this all works very well. Now, I loved my hair cut, my color was just ok, and the biggest shocker was the price — after including the tip, I walked out with a $ 300 haircut, wow! Now, don’t get me wrong, they have talented woman working here, and the average price in Summit can be high, however I just wasn’t impressed enough to go back for that price, maybe next time they could pin point a better color choice, however I spent 4 hours in the salon getting what looked like really great highlights with a great technique, however after all this was done, they put a «glaze» over my hair which I was unfamiliar with back in California, this totally covered up everything and made my hair look like it was almost 1 solid color, and you could still see the difference in my roots from my prior color, so not to my standards, especially for the price. Now I will say, I gave the hair style months before posting this, so I forget the person’s name who did my hair, but I believe she was the salon owner. One pro to the hair style was it faded and ended up blending in very nice, so timeline wise, you can get away with only getting color applied to your hair every 3 – 6 months depending.
