Of course you want to go to a carpet dealer that offers a wide variety of carpets and flooring at various price points and Cove Carpet has all of that. But we chose to buy our carpet and hardwood flooring from Cove Carpet because they know what they are doing! I like interior design but when you have such an enormous amount of choices and brands you really need a professional to guide you through the process. I recently purchased a sisal for our stairs and I would have gone in a completely different direction but thankfully Judy and Donna brought to my attention the type of weave and the challenges we could have with my choice. They gave me tons of other options and I found another carpet that makes my heart skip a beat. It is perfection! No matter what you are looking for you don’t want to make a mistake. I would check out other carpet places and then go to Cove Carpet. You will see there is no comparison. I made a few mistakes along the way and I have learned my lesson. We also live in Alexandria Va and have had no problem working remote with Donna and Judy. They ship samples to me and it has been great. You have to go to a knowledgeable flooring professional and I think Cove Carpet is the best around. You will find that their prices are competitive and fair. Cant say enough good things.

Rude, dishonest… Don’t go! No prices marked… like buying a car from an unreputable dealer.

We came looking to replace the ugly green carpet in our guest room with vinyl planks or tiles. We were approached by salesperson Judy Cardona, who we told what we had in mind and she showed us a large number of options. We really liked 3 different luxury vinyl tiles, so she let us take home the samples for a few days, while she would work on some quotes on the different options. We settled on one and the price was reasonable. We scheduled a measuring day and the guy who came was very professional. On installation day, we ran into a little snafu with the existing base moulding being in the wrong place for the new type of floor. The installation guys ran to the store to get new base moulding to match, Judy called me with the change order for the additional work, and I approved it. From then on, installation went without a hitch and it was done in a few hours. The installation guys were very professional, courteous and well mannered. Judy followed up the next day and we were dunzo. It was a smooth and great experience with Cove Carpet. I would recommend them for your flooring needs.

We had a cork floor installed in our brand new kitchen as it was being built when Cove had full access to the walls and the walls under the cabinets. This could have been a DIY project, but the installer, their«most experienced» worker, took shortcuts and our floors have been separating from the beginning. After blaming everyone and everything, we had the kitchen contractor come back to remove the moldings to see what was going on. Alas, the installer had cut all the boards short, to the cabinet edges instead of under them and against the wlls, where they needed to be. Now, the planks move well beyond the margins a floating floor is supposed to, and the only remedy would be to pull out all the appliances and moldings and replace all the boards that are supposed to be up against the walls. That’s just not happening. Go elsewhere… this was an easy job they got lazy about and I’m paying the price for that!

With a baby on the way, my hubby and I continue to prep their room-to-be. We scoured two popular home improvement stores for carpet and found a very poor selection at one and a moderate selection at the other. We acquired a quick quote for one we liked on display but it ended up being discontinued. When I looked it up at home, it had negative long-term reviews for quality. We then found a couple of carpet-specific places near our home via Unilocal and thankfully, found Cove Carpet. We were immediately greeted by Mike, a sales rep. who asked us a couple of questions regarding carpet usage then guided us towards what sections we should search and then let us look around quite a bit on our own. There were excellent sample/swatch boards and Cove Carpet even let us borrow one for the weekend. The other option was that they would order a larger swatch of about 6 inches square from the manufacturer for a nominal cost but we were in a rush. We were able to test the sample board within the target room which receives different types of light throughout the day and by the end of the weekend, felt confident with one of the swatches. I also read very positive reviews regarding recyclability and durability of the carpet brand and model. We returned the board and placed an order the same day which ended up being very similar in price to the quote we received earlier from one of the home improvement stores. We were told it would take 2 – 3 weeks for the carpet to be produced in Georgia and arrive in New Jersey. About three weeks later, we received a call to schedule installment. The day before, an installer gave us a window of a half hour of when they would arrive and they stuck to it. The installers arrived in two vans and completed installation of tack strips, padding, and carpet within one hour and cleaned up after themselves. They left the room with a nice«new carpet» smell that dissipated after a couple of days with the windows open. We’ll definitely shop here again!
