Tomato Grill

I was not impressed with this place at all, the lighting was poor, the food was just OK, but the kicker was when the served me my desert and it was covered in mold which could not be seen due to the poor lighting so I actually ate a bite and tasted it to find out. It was disgusting. They did offer to compensate the moldy desert which i ate a bite from, however considering the circumstances I felt they should have also complemented my meal. I know we will not be back.

The food was a very poor reflection on good Italian cooks everywhere. Bland, bland, bland. I had the veal, and it reminded me of a Swanson’s TV dinner… except that it was $ 20. I had a delicious steak at the Long Point Grill the next weekend for the same price. Guess what I’m saying is that the value is poor as well.
— Service was slow and inattentive
— Décor was certainly not reminiscent of Italian. Downright tacky… and that coming from a guy who can barely dress himself correctly.
— Beer and wine menu was anemic
Wow. I couldn’t find one positive thing to say about that place. They were very accommodating with our large party… there we go. Why 2 stars then? My wife said the sandwiches are good at lunch.
If you have a hankering for Italian food and live in Summerville, bounce down Dorchester rd (just a couple miles) and go to Gennaro’s.
I normally try to ignore bad restaurants rather than bash them, but unless you’re going there for lunch to get a sandwich, It would be irresponsible if I didn’t steer you away from this place.
