Good menu selection. Great food!

Great food and atmosphere. I like that you could go out for a nice date night out here or a laid back spot to hang out outside or upstairs.

My family and I stumbled upon this restrurant. The atmosphere is wonderful and the food is amazing! Our family enjoyed the shrimp and grit cake, grilled shrimp, rib eye steak and pecan crusted pork chops. Every bite was delicious!

I got food poisoning from here and was hospitalized for two days. Had the chicken sandwich with fries.

I love this place! Been to The Icehouse a few times now and it is always amazing. The service was good but the food is wonderful. I love their blue cheese crusted sirloin and their Mac n cheese! I can’t wait to return. If you go I would make a reservation for Friday and Saturday nights!

The burgers here are the best! they aren’t the only good thing on the menu, but when I’m craving the perfect burger… this is it! their salads on the specials menu are really, really good and huge! I always order the «half» size and it’s a full size salad.

Went here while visiting family, 2 littles in tow. The service was fantastic. Server was very knowledgable of the menu & super patient with our party of 7 who wanted to try it all! The pimento cheese is crazy good. Entrees were fantastic, including the sides. Drinks stayed full. Great experience. Will return when we’re back up in Summerville!

One of my favorite places in downtown Summerville hands down. I have avoided writing a review until now just to keep it a little secret. Delicious farm to table food and romantic country charm ambiance downstairs, and upstairs has a casual fun grandma’s attic meets dive bar with extensive selections.

Had a great Valentines meal at the Crystal Icehouse today. Once again we had great service from our server Lauren, to go along with great food. I had the broiled seafood with Shrimp, calamari fries, crawfish, with the VOD baby green beans and sweet potato waffle fries,. It was all cooked to perfection. Also try the buffalo chips and ranch as a starter… Compliments to the Chef.
If you want a place with Great food and Great service, this is the place.
I want to thank our server Lauren for making this yet another great experience. Lauren was very helpful and took care of us.
To top off our experience, the. same server we had last year was still there and made our day even better with what she did for us. Thank you V Monet for everything you did… My wife had tears in her eyes after Lauren told us what you did…

If I could leave no stars I would. A bunch of friends and family members got together to go out to eat. The portions were tiny, my burger tasted like a pre-​made Bubba burger, the staff was rude beyond belief! We left early it was so bad! None of us will ever be back!

Downstairs it’s really good food in a really cool atmosphere. The place actually was an «Ice House», so it’s all brick and beams and such. There’s a back room for large parties, but it doesn’t have much of a cool factor. The bar downstairs is nice, there’s an excellent outdoor patio, and there is frequently live music. Love it. UPSTAIRS is a good old fashioned BAR.

I’ve been a frequent visitor to upstairs, but I finally ended up downstairs for dinner with my family. Service was great between our hostess and waitress.
When we sat down, we were given water and a container of Cajun Pork Rinds or Cracklins. So yummy! I could’ve eaten the entire container if my dad didn’t get to them quicker!
I had the fried chicken sandwich with fries. The breading didn’t take over the sandwich and I was able to taste flavorful chicken with each bite. The sandwich wasn’t overly greasy either.
I miss Froggy’s, but this is definitely a good replacement!

Cuisine is traditional southern, all the favorites, sustainably sourced locally. Good kids menu too!

This is certainly a local’s gathering spot. It’s highly recommended to people visiting Summerville as it’s large and has a nice brick atmosphere with a diverse menu that changes regularly and has something on it for everyone. Vegetarians? Check. Gluten free? Check. Meatatarians? Check. I always start with the pimento cheese, it’s a hit. The she crab is a heavy very filling and a meaty crab soup I recommend this to crab lovers and warn you, that you’ll probably be taking home lunch/​dinner if you order this, it’s so filling. The she crab soup is on point but I did not love their crabby patty crab cake, the cake itself was soft and falling apart, it was a slightly more solidified version of the soup, and the remoulade is very sweet. The gnocchi special was my favorite dish from ice house and hope I can get that one again.

We drive down from Columbia for the food and to listen to Justin Hodge play his guitar. I’m a big fan of Tommy Emmanuel and Justin has cut his teeth on Tommy’s music. If you don’t know who Tommy is, hit iTunes.
I had the Bison Meatloaf last Thursday and it was Awesome ! Sherry did a repeat of the Petite Filet and was not disappointed. The mashed potatoes are the best I have ever had.
The Food was Great! The Service was Great! The Music was Awesome!

Very good food and service. The shrimp and grits are great though the grits are in a cake, which you may or may not prefer. The ice house salad is excellent.

Thanks to Unilocal I found this amazing restaurant to eat at on my way back from Charleston. This was a really unique restaurant not far off the interstate by the railroad tracks. This building actually used to be an icehouse. This was really a cool place. You enter from the side of the restaurant passing through an outdoor eating area. There’s a fireplace you can see as you enter the door.
We were seated in the room near the fireplace and the amazing guitar player. Apparently Saturday night isn’t his usual night to play so we got lucky. He’s Justin Hodge with Ellen Drive. Usually he’s there on Thursday so I hope to come back one Thursday night.
We were greeted immediately by our server and the service she gave us was top notch. She was very attentive to all our needs.
For dinner I had the Petite Filet and my husband got the Pot Roast. Both dinners cane with the Best Mashed Potatoes in the World, and zucchini and squash. The food was awesome! The mashed potatoes were so fresh and tasted better than any homemade potatoes I’ve ever fixed. The menu had a lot of great selections to choose from. I can’t wait to go back and try something else.
This restaurant is worth the drive for me to return.

This is the place in Summerville with just good fun people and lots of drinks and food.
