Harris Teeter

I enjoy shopping at this store. The checkers are nice and helpful. The fruits and veggies are always fresh. Their customer service is above other stores.
The complaints I have is they do not always have enough checkers and when the checkers call for help no one comes. What I have noticed is it takes management the longest to help.
The Starbucks is the slowest i have ever tried to go to. I have stopped attempting to get anything there. The week day crew is worthless. Their quality is poor, and they move at a snails pace. i picked up a dring over the weekend and was astonished that the one girl working there worked faster than the three that work during the week.

I love Harris Teeter. We have been using their online ordering service for about a year and a half now and its wonderful. I use their app and/​or website to order my groceries as I think of them. When I have everything I need in the cart I go ahead and place the order. That eveing or the next morning (depending on order time) my groceries are completely collected and bagged. All I have to do is pull up, push the button and they bring them to my car.
On top of that, Harris Teeter has, hands down, the best customer service of any grocery store I’ve ever shopped with. They give us discounts if we have to wait very long, throw in extra goodies just to thank us for our business and have even given us free groceries to make up for their mistakes.

Good location, good selection, and good quality. However, they are a bit too proud of their products. Expensive.

You need more help in your Starbucks store. The wait is awful and not fair to your staff. They’re working as hard as they can!!!

4 stars for their employee’s helpfulness and the fact they carry items other grocery stores do not.
Their salad bar has some delightful choices. Everything always seems to be very fresh. You receive better service, than at Publix.

Today is the first day of Super Double.. Donna and her team ran everything smoothly. As my fellow Couponers known, something sale associates can lose their cool when present several coupons. However, not here. This location welcome «US» with open arms. Here to Super Double !!!

Time to post this one. This is too good of a store, in too good of a location, to have much less than four or five stars (depending on your experience).
I think Chris D.‘s review pretty much sums everything up nicely. The Asian bar, the salad bar, the produce section… all fantastic. HT even has a great beer (local too!) selection. As far as long lines… geez, that’s anywhere. Would you rather stand in a long line at HT or at Walmart? I personally, don’t even want to drive through Walmart’s parking lots, let alone go inside and wait to pay for something. Logically laid out” says another review? C’mon, can you honestly show me a map of every grocery store in the area, and all of their food sections laid out, to deduce which one is laid out the most efficient?
And I have yet to have anything stale from the baked goods either. I even had a birthday cake that was made in the wrong size (which ended up to be probably shy of an acre of cake) and the manager working just asked me if he could take about half the price off of me groceries my next trip through.
All in all, I haven’t had anything less than great experiences here, and when you combine that with good customer service and solid food, you can’t go wrong.

I have adored Harris Teeter since the moment I walked into them a decade ago. I must say I was a bit sad to see the local Piggly Wiggly to go, but at least it was to a HT. I couldn’t have been more displeased with the selection. I couldn’t find the mushrooms until I walked around the fruit and veggie area twice and the meat section left much to be desired. Then don’t get me started about the long service to get checked out. I stood in line for nearly 10 minutes, even with the 5 cashiers on duty. It was not that busy with no more than 2 people in each line. Just way too long! I certainly won’t go out of my way to come here again.

There was so much anticipation over this store opening that maybe I was expecting to be absolutely wowed by the store.
Having said that, there produce department is easily the biggest and best in Summerville. The salad bar, Asian bar, bakery, pizza station, etc are also very nice touches that make shopping here a good experience.
You must have a VIC card in order to get sale prices which is pretty much the industry standard now. As far as prices go, their sale prices are phenomenal, for non-​sale items I will still make the trip down the street to Publix.

I have reviewed this chain before, but I have to say that I prefer this location (Trolley) over Wescott. No complaints-​from the extra care in the parking lot (designated parking spots for mothers/​fathers with small children as well as spots for veterans) to interior attention to detail to bonus points for entertaining children (free cookies that you don’t have to wait for an employee to give you), HT is definitely growing on me! Today I discovered the salad bar, the Asian bar, and the cheese bar. I left quite satisfied with my Asian bar experience (not a statement I ever thought I’d make!). Thanks to the to-​go containers, I ate my food while waiting in the car pick-​up lane at the elementary school. Score one HT! If nothing else, I appreciate what this chain has done for this particular shopping center, aesthetically speaking. It’s much nicer to look at now than it used to be!

Parking lot is all for the amount of traffic this store gets. Nice store, you need a HT card to get discounts and they will email you the HT only hidden discounts, like a gallon of milk at $ 1.97 each
