Went with family on 11/​28/​2015 to try something different.
Green enchiladas were decent. Other foods have an ‘inexpensive’ Spanish tinge to them.
If going, make sure to either speak Spanish to the waitress or check the order before she walks off. I heard my wife order the Lingua first, then changed to the Chicken and Shrimp. She explicitly said she did not want it … Twice. But it still showed up at the table. My mother asked to only have a vegetarian enchilada. It came out beef…
My wife had the chicken and shrimp. The shrimp was slightly tough and the chicken breast was dry. She asked for some sauce that was on another plate and the supervisor said it couldn’t happen.
The supervisor also needs to work on her people skills as she just came out Rosie Perez-​ing at the first complaint my cousin had about the dish she was served not looking like the picture on the menu. My cousin is a pretty blunt person and I usually try to play devil’s advocate, but the picture had sauce that looked white and the dish that was brought out was orange and had fries mixed IN THE MEAT; it was almost like they were trying to stretch that meat by mixing in fries.
I will find a real Mexican restaurant next time instead of settling and would suggest anyone else to as well.

This place is so meh. The carne asada looked a bit like hamburger and was cooked very tough and nearly impossible to cut. Everything else was merely underwhelming and not noteworthy. Probably won’t visit again. Wish I had more stars to give, but there’s little to award points for. It’s a shame since someone recommended this spot to me and I am sure there’s some items that are great that id have to know before going to order it.

I really like this place. They have the best Carne Asada, however I will never go there again. Not sure what the deal was but the Latino waitress was bluntly rude to me, EVERYTIME I (non hispanic) went there with my Hispanic friend.

My go to place when I didn’t cook dinner! If I don’t want unhealthy fast food, this is my go to place! Large portions that 2 ocean share or, I have plenty leftover for work the next day. Call ahead, run in and out because it’s a small hole in the wall place!

I visited the Oxon Hill restaurant and was blown away. I must say, this is one of the best tasting Mexican Restaurants I’ve been to in some time and Mexican food is one of my favorite types of food. Very-​very good. I had dinner there last night and returned with orders from work for lunch. Highly recommended!!!

Not a bad place. If I wasn’t meeting people there I probably would have never stopped due to the location. However it is as authentic as you will get, even the wait staff doesn’t speak English. I would recommend the steamed corn tamale! Yummo! Also have to try the pupposo (pooh-​po-​sue) I know I spelled it wrong but those are amazing and super cheap! The burritos are huge and please share with another person unless you have a huge appetite!!!

Sit at the bar to experience this place, the prices seem a bit high compared to the quality of the ingredients and the probable cost of the neighborhood real estate.
The pupusas here are spectacular, as is the slaw they serve it with. Go with these, maybe the $ 11 sirloin combo or their jumbo shrimp. Avoid the chicharonnes, overcooked like a stone.
The Cook will flirt with you if you talk to her. For that it’s worth the hassle of me literally having to run to my car to avoid getting hit in a PG County drive-​by

Back away and SAVE your money. The breakfast platters, sopa de mariscos, and tacos are horrible. There’s no passion in their food whatsoever. The frijoles are watery and flavorless. The tacos are flavorless too. And I hate how they assume that because you’re US born, you don’t speak spanish. So they only want to place the order with my husband. And even if I didn’t speak spanish, their service is just plain horrible. And their food doesn’t make up for it. The horchata sucks as well. It’s store bought horchata. Please, SAVE YOUR MONEY!

There is absolutely no consistency in the food here. My fist time here I ordered pollo la crema and it was fantastic ordered it the other day it was horrible. Had the same experience with camarones la crema. Great the first time horrible when I ordered it again. Their pupusas are fantastic, too bad I won’t be returning as the hygiene of the employees are questionable. I watched one of the waitress clear dirty dishes, collect money and start cutting limes next to where she placed the dirty dishes. Oh, did I forget to mention she never washed her hands? I’m done with this place. I DO NOT RECOMMEND EATING HERE!!!

Very disappointed! I was so in the mood for Mexican food, and the reviews seemed pretty decent. My husband and baby decided to check it out. It was in a strip shopping center that looked a little run down but some of the best food is hole in the walls. This was not the case. First, the high chair was filthy with dried chicken stuck all over it, we should have left right then and there. We ordered chips and queso and was served chips with melted shredded cheese that only covered half the chips. I ordered the fajitas and he ordered the tacos. The tortilla shells were made of corn and were really thick. Tasted like muck muck. I asked for sour cream and they served me liquid sour cream. So disappointed. Was craving Mexican and now don’t think I can eat it for awhile. At least Don Pablo’s would have been cleaner. Do not recommend!

I had pupusas rebueltas they were very good. I ordered Tacos for my hubby and he said mine are way better, I had to agree. The tacos were very blend.
I had a Tipico Salvadorian breakfast and it was ok. It was kind of blend. I had it to go so i would like to think it would have been better if i ate in. I will give it another try. One part of me really hope it’s not so good the next time i go because i love these type of breakfast and this place is near my home… Can you belive it? I found a place that serves my favorite breakfast in the entire world (which is very fattening) I will be overweight if i try this place once more and i like the breakfast… Will see what happens…

I was shocked by the price, and happen to think I was mischarged. The soup I ordered along with one drink cost me 15 bucks! The beef soup was large, but not great by any means. I love a good soup, this soup has way too much fat on the meat (usually never a concern of mine), but the fat could be tasted throughout the whole soup. The broth was very oily and the vegatbles were undercooked, the carrots weren’t cooked and they were sliced, sliced carrots usually cook pretty quickly. I will be going back, but I will be paying a lot more attention to the prices and how I am charged. I saw a lady making tacos, they looked delicious, maybe this is what I will try next time.
I’m surprised to see so many good reviews, I will have to give it another go. Oh the tortillas were delicious though! They were corn and small and thick.

This is real good El Salvadorian food. I love the tacos; chicken, shrimp and lengua (cow tongue). The enchiladas are massive. It’s plenty for 3 people but it’s suppose to be for one. I think this place should be featured on Man vs. Food.

Okay, well first you have to put this place in perspective. This is located within a strip of stores in a somewhat sketchy neighborhood that’s surrounded by primarily fast food restaurants. With that said, it’s great to have some authentic Salvadorean food to go to when all I knew about was McDonalds, Popeyes, or some other mediocre fast food joint.
The place is pretty small and somewhat of a «hole-​in-​the-​wall» joint. Inside there is a large bar seating around 10 and small tables lining the wall. When I went during lunch, it wasn’t very crowded other than a few locals eating… all of who looked and sounded Hispanic.
The service was friendly and the lady behind the counter was quick to give me a menu and was very pleasant. Also, the prices were pretty cheap for all the food I received. I can’t comment too much on the quality of Salvadorean food compared to other Salvadorean places since I don’t eat this type of food often, but the beef fajitas I got tasted excellent in general.
Overall, this place provided authentic food, cheap prices, and a friendly atmosphere.

I have to say I enjoyed my lunch here very much. If you are feeling thirsty they have huge glass bottles of Coke which I think was 1 liter. We were hoping that the Coke was of the hecho en Mexico variety (made with pure cane sugar)…but alas, it was hecho en Nicaragua according to its label (just a forewarning to Mexican Coke lovers). I ordered a chorizo taco which was very delicious. The taco shell itself was a little thicker than corn tortillas I am used to, but tasty nonetheless. I also got a side order of frijoles which took some getting used to since they were pureed and kind of soupy, but very tasty, carrying the flavor of other foods being cooked in the restaurant! The slaw that came with the chicken pupusa I got was very good. And the plate presentation was also very impressive and festive (see some of the pics that I added). It is a very lively place during the lunch hour, with Telenovelas on the TV in the background and a big ol jukebox with many latino hits (sometimes both are playing at the same time so it can be loud). You can sit at a table with waitress service or at the counter. Staff was very friendly. I will definitely venture here for another work lunch outing in the future!

I was so excited to eat at this place. I was quite impressed to see my tortillas being made to order. However the taste left a lot to be desired. So I orded 4 tacos and only got 2. The taco de lengua was excellent but the chicken taco was meh. Who knows where the two carne asada tacos are. We also got chicken tamales. The masa was too wet and the chicken sparse.
