Great service and the steak, shrimp is tasty with a nice seasoning. The seasoned rice was tasty and great mashed potatoes! Good olé country seafood! Also food was fast!

My family and I used to enjoy eating here all the time. It was one of our regular spots. Today I was reminded on why we stopped eating here. My mother and I stopped in to order some quick baked potatoes Togo. We were feeling kind of hungry so we decided to order some nachos too. The person taking our order informed us that the nachos would be in separate containers, being a Togo order, to prevent the chips from getting soggy, which we completely understood. Well after waiting over 30 minutes for 3 baked potatoes, and self assemble nachos, we got home and realized our entire order was self assemble. The baked potatoes which we ordered with no chives, no sour cream, etc. had all of toppings in one container– with all the ingredients we didn’t want mixed with the ones we did. On top of that they didn’t give us the queso for our nachos. Needless to say we won’t be back.

Its been over a year since I last ate at this restaurant. However, I was reminded why we stopped frequenting this place. After being seated, it took the waitress about 15 minutes to acknowledge us. We weren’t in a hurry. We were actually enjoying the pleasantries of the wind blowing on the patio and the conversations with our children. I always try to look on the bright side, but there was no bright side to the poor service we received from our waitress. We ordered fried pickles and onion rings as appetizers. They were superb! The batter was light and crispy. However, my shrimp platter was blah. I don’t think I will be visiting this establishment any time soon.

Let me preface this with we haven’t been here in over a year, and my family and I used to love dining here. On Saturday my wife suggested we stop by for a quick lunch. Everything was fine until we sat down to await our servers appearance so that we could give her our order ticket. The wait was extremely long even though the restaurant wasn’t very busy. Just before we decided to go look for someone our sever Lindsay walked up. She gave the impression that if it were her choice she would be somewhere other than at work. Throughout our dining experience she never checked on our table although she was very attentive to the table adjacent to ours. When we needed something we had to get her attention while she was checking on the table next to ours. One time my wife was calling for Lindsay as she was walking away from the other table, and she acted as if she didn’t here us calling for her. Yes, I and Tanya joined my wife in calling for Lindsay and she paused for a moment as if she heard us and was going to turn around then suddenly she decided not to and walked off. Lindsay was terrible at her job and was undeserving a tip yet we left one anyway with a note to her on the back of the check. Now the rest of the staff was fine. In fact the another server by the name of Stacy brought our food out to our table and she was more helpful and pleasant than Lindsay. After dropping off our food Stacy asked if we needed anything else. I requested some more BBQ sauce and Stacy promptly brought it out to me. Kudos to Stacy for the great customer service. Now as far as the food goes I took notes from everyone while at the table. Everyone agrees the appetizers were good. We had the onion rings fried pickles. I had the half rack of baby back ribs which were ok. They were tender but kinda dry. I also had the Texas tea which was ok. Tanya ordered me another but I could’ve passed on the second one but I needed something to wash down my dry ribs. Might as well had been something closely resembling a Long Island tea. My wife Ebonie had the fried shrimp and said they were ok, but weren’t seasoned well. She thought that maybe they’re using a different batter than before for the shrimp used to taste pretty good. Tanya had the Philly cheese steak which she said was good. Meat was tender but she wished it had some bell peppers on it. She also had a swirl margarita, strawberry and regular, which she said was good. In fact she had two. Jamaal had a bacon burger which he said was very salty, but after taking the bacon off it was better. Not one he’d want again but just ok. His words were; «the burgers used to be good in this joint. This one is ok but we don’t have to come back anytime soon.» Devin concurred with Jamaal when asked how he liked his burger. In summary this place just isn’t what it used to be. Lindsay was the highlight of the evening making us not want to come back for another year when we hopefully have forgotten about this bad experience.

Was just what we wanted. Staff was friendly, restaurant was laid back, food was good. A good place for reasonably priced crawfish and good sized po’ boys.

The food was ok but the staff was so unprofessional! They took my card and 5 minutes later the waiter came back and asked if I gave him my card. Cuz apparently he lost my card and he said that another waiter found my card on the floor. So come here if you want your card lost! So unprofessional!

I don’t know where to begin. Slow service half cooked food and horrible smell at times. This place mad my whole family sick when we ate there. I decided to try it again and well… Yes same results! Avoid at all cost.

We’ve been loyal customers of this place for years, and with no special prices or great drinks, but tonight was the worst. All they did was remind us they were understaffed, etc. Checks weren’t right, dinner salads came out after the main meal, meals didn’t arrive at all. Pitiful. OK, you’ve had your one bad time, Willie’s, but if it happens again, we won’t be returning after that.

I eat at this location pretty often since it’s right across the street from my job. The staff is always super friendly and I’ve always had great service! I’ve tried numerous items from the menu and never been disappointed. If you get the chance ask for Billy, he is the best waiter there!!!

We got their fried-stuff platter/sampler — it was HUGE and came with a lot of onion rings and other assorted fried stuff(mozzarella sticks, fried jalapenos, fried pickles, and fried mushrooms). There weren’t a lot of mozz sticks, so those ran out pretty quickly, but the other items on the platter were pretty plentiful. The onion rings were pretty good, but the rest of the fried sampler platter was just OK. The blackened salmon was pretty good — soft and flavorful. Service was good. The ambiance is super casual. Plenty of folks hanging out with their friends/family and there were TVs around too.

Great food, great atmosphere, sports and music, casual and fun. Customer service is top notch. The margaritas are sometimes weak but still tasty. Other than that, i have no complaints.

I love the atmosphere– the country music on loud speakers and sports on many screens… plus, the frozen jack and cokes are legit. They are probably my favorite things here. The hubs and I came here to enjoy the patio weather and get some good burgers. He got the Bacon Willy and I got the Cheesy Willie. I subbed my fries for onion rings and we split the fried pickles to start. Everything was delicious. The onion rings were great– thick cut and lightly battered. The fried pickles were good too, and bonus– we each got our own ranch to dip. We will definitely come back… with the kiddos even. I didn’t realize that they also have a sand play area that our(almost) 2 year old would love. Thank you to Mary Anne, our server. She was very attentive and sweet. Another bonus: even that patio is smoke free. :)

We love the casual, laid back atmosphere here. They are a good place to bring family and large groups. My grandkids and young nephew love the sandbox play area they have out back and they have a faucet to rinse sandy hands or feet. On nice days they open up the rolling garage type doors to let you enjoy the outdoors. They have both indoor and outdoor tables. They have a limited bar with several beers iced down in a large tub. Their frozen margaritas are s specialty and you can add a patron floater if you wish. The reason I only gave this place 3 stars is because the food is only okay. Their menu has a wide variety with salads, burgers, hot dogs, chicken fried steak, fish, shrimp, etc. It’s food the kids will eat and everyone can find something to order. We like to get an order of fried pickles and fried jalapeños to start, then hubby and I will split the huge chicken fried steak with 2 sides of mashed potatoes. When not in the mood for CFS, I’ll get the Bleu cheese burger with sweet potato fries and hubby gets the fried shrimp and catfish with regular fries.

I really don’t understand why you order at the counter and they only write it down for you to take to your table and they don’t send it to the kitchen. The waiters are running around and it always takes an additional 5 – 10 minutes for them to come to your table and read your order to you before they go give it to the kitchen. When your order does come you better know if you want something like hot sauce or ranch dressing because you won’t be able to catch your waiter to order it later. And don’t drink too much because you won’t be able to get a refill

On a beautiful sunny day, we decided to grab a bite early afternoon. We ordered our food, sat down and after waiting 15 minutes, we had to go and find our server and hand him our order. 15 minutes later our chips came out. One hour later our fish tacos and shrimp poboy came to the table ice cold. It’s a shame this was our first impression of the restaurant. We will not try again.

Decided to try this place and definitely not impressed. We both had the fried catfish and shrimp platter, as well has fried mushrooms and pickles. Everything had a bland flavoring, and had some generic batter on the food. Was very salty. Pricing was also ridiculous for the quality of this food. I can get the same food better quality and cheaper at Hanks Crawfish at Bellaire and Wilcrest. This food is not worth the $ 40.75 we paid for just two people, yuck. Service was meh and I won’t be coming back.

This place is one of my favorites. It’s fried mushrooms are great. The ice house burger is great. I always sit at Bill’s table he really makes sure he takes care of you. I tell all my friends about this place. Make sure you join their club program

Unfortunately for me, Willies didn’t serve a chainsaw with my Ribs — that turns out was mostly clumps of fat anyway. Ugh. My mash tasted so bizarre that even my dustbin 6 month old wanted nothing to do with it, or the soggy veggies I got handed. No refill on my drink, and we were left to our own divides for the most part. Done with this place!

Cool atmosphere, but slightly awkward when you see so many«servers» standing around with not much to do. Great selection of food. I am curious to come back and try new items, maybe watch a game or two of football in the process. I bet this place is great in the fall when the weather is a lot cooler!

Awesome service. Our waiter John was attentive and friendly. In fact, everyone who walked by my table asked if everything was ok. The music is a bit loud but it was ok because it goes with the flavor of the place. We heard country and zztop all in one visit. Cool w me. The catfish was delicious. We enjoyed our visit. Come expecting a good time and you wont be disappointed.

This place has gone downhill. Service is slow and incompetent. I don’t understand why I gave them my card to pay and it somehow took 15 minutes for me to get my card back. I was 1 of 5 tables here. In the entire restaurant. More than likely, I will not be back.

4 stars for service. 3 for flavor. This place has a lot of shabby garage chic. And the interior works great. The out door eating is really nice. The inside is LOUD. Chips & dip. Very good. All else ok. Come Because it’s cool.

Thought I’d try crawfish out for the first time with a group of friends… I preset a lb of crawfish and also a cheesesteak sandwhich in case I didn’t like the crawfish. Once I was showed the technique to eat the crawfish I dug right in. I thought it tasted great!(Not knowing how it suppose to taste in the first place) but everyone around me said they were plain. So I will have to say the crawfish are pretty good but not the best. However, the cheesesteak I ate later that night was AMAZING it had tons of flavor and cheeseeeee and the fries were pretty good as well!

I love this place! Atmosphere is great. This is by far the best place to eat crawfish!!! I am so excited the season is here, just ate their recently, and ordered the crawfish boil platter, which comes with 3 lbs. Crawfish, sausage, 6 boiled shrimp, 3 potatoes, and 3 corn(fed 2 people). Butter and extra seasoning on the side. Price is about $ 29 …$ 6 more than last season… I wasn’t too happy about that BUTITISWORTHIT!!! And even at that price, that’s a great deal!!! Also, ordered the fried pickles with ranch, and so good! Great size for the small portion, feeds 2 people, and pickles weren’t, soggy at all. Also, try the Jack and cola frozen drink, it’s so strong, and goes down smooth! I will definitely be spending my spring and summer season here for the crawfish. Staff is very attentive. Great job Willie’s! !!

I think its kind of dumb where I take my order, have to find a place to sit, then wait for someone to come get my ticket order to then have it sent to the kitchen to have the food cooked. I guess they’re trying to be unique, but I think its complicated in my opinion. There are about 7 ppl working on the floor and I find their staff a bit slow, and this was on a slow day guys. I got a simple sandwich and a milkshake. Milkshake came out of a machine like mcdonalds…(tasted like mcdonalds icecream) and the sandwich was decent. Maybe I was just ordering the wrong food, i have no idea. Most likely not coming back.

Food-wise, this place was okay. My boyfriend and I went in on this past Sunday(6÷3÷12) for dinner, and we wanted the Boiled Seafood(Crawfish & Shrimp) Platter. But, the lady taking the orders up front said the crawfish season ended on Friday, 6÷1÷12, so they wouldn’t have the seafood platter anymore until next year… OHNO! Totally disappointed we were! So, we ended up with a Chili cheese burger with fries, a small fried catfish basket with fries and cole slaw, and 1 lb of Garlic Parmesan wings. The burger was good; juicy patty I liked, but i wish they could be a little more generous on the chili! The wings were soooooo good! Fatty and Juicy! nom nom nom! The fried catfish and French fries were just standard, and so was that lil’ cup of cole slaw on the side. Price-wise, Great! Over half of the menu is under $ 10. However, service was weird on this particular occasion! I didn’t expect excellent service at a diner place but at least STOP trying to clear the table while people were still eating! It was frustrating that our server just kept on trying to clear the table and even took away the last«quarter» of my burger which I had NOT finished! *argh* When our server saw me taking pictures of the foods, he got all suspicious and asked if there was something wrong with the food. I thought he was just joking and messing with me at first, but then I saw the critical look in his face so I explained that i was taking the pix just for my Unilocal review. But then he got even more suspicious, asking, « Unilocal? What’s Unilocal?!» I was like, «WHAAAAAA? Are you serious? You dunno what Unilocal is! Food reviews done by Real peeps!» He still looked clueless and slid away… Dangerously, I cant believe these people working in the food/restaurant industry NOT knowing about Unilocal. How sad!
