I had the best experience here today and found out that I liked tapioca!!! Also, it was nice and quiet and the customer service was excellent!!!

This place use to be my #1 study spot, but recently has been filling up a lot quicker by local high school students. The drinks are great, and the workers really know how to customize your drink to your preference. If you go there enough times, they’ll remember you by name and drink order which is a great feeling. It gets pretty loud sometimes, and crowded. Luckily, they’re planning on extending it further into the store behind them, so this should clear up that problem.

Although this location has some pretty nice ambience for a relaxing study time for yourself or with friends, their boba tea choices are only okay in my books. It’s not the best and its not the worst, but it is better than most places(if that makes sense). I can only vouch for their classic milk tea boba(since that’s the only type of boba drink I like to review on, because it’s a set standard). It’s not too sweet and the boba is actually cooked to close perfection because it doesn’t have that starchy texture some boba locations have. If you’re not sure if you like their boba, they do give free tastings, to make sure you would like to add it to your drink. They do have other filling selections besides boba too(like fruit jelly/aloe etc). It does get busy drinking peak times, so if you’re in a hurry, this location might not work for you(wait time can range from 5 – 20 mins). Service from the tea makers are polite, but some do carry a bit of attitude. Most are very friendly and accommodating though.

They have a good interior, but they could orient the place to have a bigger area to have more seating, when I went it was hard to find seats. But they have a wide variety of selections and additional toppings /creamers. They should open later for people that want to study — — they could have a bigger business revenue from late night studying as tea bar is always full at night across the street

Hands down the best tap joint in the Sugarland area! The workers are always friendly and makes the drinks great consistently. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere sometimes isn’t the best when it comes to studying, but if you’re here to chill with friends; its a great place. They tend to get somewhat busy, but that just shows you how great this place is. The owners are expanding the place so it will be much bigger; it should be done soon so it won’t be cramped or anything. Overall, come get your tap fix here. I totally recommend it; my go to is Strawberry Green Tea with their signature Teatioca!

Great tea! Tend to be really busy, at times. They can be really slow at times but that aside, this place is very good. Try the honeydew tea, best thing on their menu.

It’s your typical teahouse closer to home! I was glad when this place opened up because it allows me to get my teahouse fix without going to Chinatown. This location is just as good as their other locations along with your typical fixings! Enjoy!

I was drinking after my husband I was drinking and eating the tapioca I felt something weird and I took it out it was a piece of foil from a dishwater sponge. I might not got there anymore.

First time at this location and I wasn’t disappointed. Nice aesthetics and a huge variety of teas, smoothies and shakes and you can even choose from almond milk, coconut milk and non-dairy creamer(which contains caseinate, a milk-derived protein, so I’d steer clear if you’re trying to avoid dairy). Nice staff and very accommodating. I got their cookies & cream shake with almond milk, no ice cream and tapioca. Very good! I will definitely be back!

Teahouse was actually the third place I visited in my attempt to satisfy my tapioca craving today. Coming back into town from university, I normally found what I was looking for at Craver’s Corner, which seems to have closed for good. I then went to Dulce, which was closed today because it’s a Sunday. So here I am at Teahouse, sipping on my $ 4.33(tax included) Thai tea with tapioca, no ice. The drink is good. I definitely like the ability to customize the ice and sugar content. There’s plenty of drinks and sinkers on the menu to choose from. The venue is nice: jade green cushioned booths and benches, marble tables, dark brown wooden chairs, plenty of natural lighting due to half of the wall space being windows. I think the place could benefit from dimming their electric lights in the seating area. Lastly, I’m currently the only customer(no headphones or study material either), so I think either of the two people currently working the kitchen/cashier striking up a casual conversation with me would bring my review to five stars.

This place could be so much better. The first time I went here, I ordered a jasmine(green) cream tea with tapioca. The cashier told me that the store had run out of tapioca. Okay, no big deal. I ended up getting the baby tap. I really enjoyed the drink — it had the perfect balance of sweetness and creaminess. I tend to like my milk tea to still taste like tea, not to have the taste of milk/cream to dominate. I also liked the baby tap, and I got a nice portion of it in my drink. The wait time was a bit long, but my friend and I just spent the time laughing at the ridiculously pointless social media board they had. The second time I went, I ordered a regular milk tea(they call it the Teahouse #1 cream tea) with tapioca. Again, the cashier told me that there wasn’t any tapioca. Okay… «Well then, I’ll get the baby tap.» They didn’t have baby tap either! Are you kidding me? What kind of teahouse runs out of tapioca? After asking the cashier how a teahouse could not have tapioca, she said that«a lot of people order it.» Obviously, but it’s not an excuse… That’s like saying it’s okay for pizza places to run out of popular toppings. All right whatever, I’ll just wait for them to prepare more tapioca. After waiting 15 minutes for my drink, it better have been the best tapioca ever. When I received my drink, the milk tea was okay, but the tapioca definitely didn’t taste right. It was bland, and the consistency was off. It was gross. Expectations shattered. So disappointed. I really don’t understand how a tapioca joint can«run out» of tapioca. I can excuse Teahouse once, but I can’t excuse it twice. Also, Teahouse is on the pricier side as far as tap drinks go. Usually that wouldn’t be a huge deal-breaker for me, but it simply isn’t worth spending extra money and time if I’m not going to get the order I want.

Hands down my favorite tapioca spot. They have so many choices and everything is displayed very clearly. I love their customization options. I wanted a drink with minimal calories and no dairy. I ordered a strawberry cream drink with tapioca. I substituted creamer for almond milk and sugar for Stevia. It was still made very well. Great location and also great interior… very clean and fresh.

I never really liked Teahouse that much… but this particular location changed my mind. Expect to pay more at this location, it’s Sugarland after all. I’ve only ordered teas here… and with a sinker it always a little over $ 5. There’s a lot ways to customize your drinks from different sinkers to even the different levels of sweetness and sugar options. I hate really sweet drinks and getting no sugar is the best option for me. I love the aloe vera jelly here for some reason… good texture and different from what I’ve tasted before. But the wait is FOREVER. 20 – 30 minutes for ONE tea!!! I hope they improve that… I wouldn’t come here if I’m in a hurry.

The teas are pretty good, the prices are a bit high. The décor is super cute and looks like a great place to kill time and read a book or go with ur laptop to study. The staff is a little short worded when they speak to me and have no knowledge of the caffeine content in the drinks. I’m pregnant so this information is something I wish they had knowledge on, or at least written down somewhere to check. It’s located right around the corner from my work which is why I come here on occasion– mostly to stretch my legs and change of scenery. I like that I’m able to personalize my drink with the sugar content.

I guess giving them a chance again was a good idea. It was Easter, and I was surprised they were open since almost all of Sugar Land was closed. They made my drinks fast because I was leaving work for five minutes and coming back for them. The person on the phone was extremely nice, double checking my order, making sure if I wanted boba and had a really happy attitude. I ordered from them again today; they asked if I wanted a rewards card but no need; really welcoming staff; and pretty much everything I stated above. And the drinks taste much better than when my friends and I first came. When I left the place, the guy says something along the lines of peace, love and stay cool. Interesting.

I was really excited to try this place based on the reviews and its proximity to Sugar Land. Unfortunately, I’m going to give it a one star review. I will start off by saying that the employees are nice, but that doesn’t really make up for bad pricing(FALSEADVERTISING) and bad drinks. First, the prices. They seem decent but then I was overcharged for my matcha tea cream drink. The menu that you order in front of you says 3.50 and I added a ‘sinker’ for 50 cents, yet I was charged over $ 5 for my drink! The guy at the counter said it was a different price($ 4.25) in the system than it was on the menu. He called someone who said he was in the middle of changing prices and then refunded me $ 1. That’s nice that you own up to false pricing, but if you have a giant ass menu in front of you with prices, and you charge a credit card for more, that is totally wrong. It is terrible to charge people extra without notifying them, even if you’re in the midst of changing prices(and does anyone else think 75 cents extra is a huge bump up and somewhat of a ripoff for Sugar Land??). Watch out for your receipts here, people! Second, I had asked about getting my drink hot up front and the guy gave me a cold drink. When I asked about it he was all like, I will make it hot, but then said they don’t put sinkers(like tapioca and pudding) in hot drinks. Plenty of other places do… I just took the cold drink because I’d already been there way too long arguing over bad pricing(see above). Third, the drink was terribly subpar. The matcha was all powdery and you could taste grains. I also asked for half sugar and it was way too sweet, like no one listened to my request. I took two sips and threw it out. tl;dr — you’ll get overcharged, spend way longer in there than you want, and still end up with a drink that you’re unable to finish. STAYAWAY!!!

We got the TGY cream tea and strawberry cream blend-that smoothie was SUPER filling! Haha. I like how you can choose how sweet you want your drinks to be, too. This is a cute spot to get some studying done/hang out with friends.

Don’t let the 3.5 star rating average deter you. I stayed away from this place like the plague at first because of some harsh reviews, but it seems that people(and boba) can change. The service is spot-on, the drinks taste better than most of their nearby competitors, and the space is cute and modern. Being somewhat new to milk tea, I tried perusing the menu from outside as to not embarrass myself. One of the men working came to open the door for me and I felt inclined to enter. Sydney, another worker, kindly guided me through the menu. She explained that the milk tea uses milk(duh), and the cream tea uses a non-dairy creamer, resulting in a creamier mouthfeel(double duh). This is good news for any lactose-intolerant folks. Sydney then told me about the 150% guarantee(because 100% is obviously not enough). If you don’t like it they, they will remake it exactly the way you want it or even make you a new/different one. She offered me a sample of my drink and it was perfectly sweet, with just enough lychee flavor, and a perfect hint of rose. The tapioca could have maybe been cooked a little longer or steeped in simple syrup more, but that is a minor critique. The teahouse is less than 3 minutes from my house so I couldn’t be happier. The service was far beyond most tapioca places I’ve been to and that alone deserves 5 stars. So if you’re in Sugar Land, save yourself a trip through the madness that is Bellaire, and stop by here instead.

Yay for more tapioca in Sugar Land! I saw the signs for this place go up a couple weeks ago, and I’m happy to announce it’s finally open! I’m always a fan for tapioca, and I’m glad a good new one just opened up. If you’ve been to the other Teahouses around Houston, it’s pretty similar. Good drinks with a great consistency of tapioca. I normally get small tapioca, and it’s soft and slightly chewy — perfect texture. I’m a sucker for matcha, so I got the matcha cream tea, which was excellent. A little more matcha-y and less sweet/creamy than other places, which was a nice change of pace. Also, the lady at the register was great and attentive. Overall, glad Teahouse is now in town! It’s a little pricier than other tea/tapioca places($ 4 – 5), but it’s good quality!
