I called for availabilities first thing in the morning and they immediately took me. I was paired with Elissa who probably was the only stylist who has ever handled my type of hair. I am African-American with natural, unruly(quite rude curls) and Elissa new exactly what to do! She apologized in advance for the«extra love» but my hair came out beautiful! Everyone was extremely friendly. Will definitely be back.

Easily the best time and money I’ve spent on myself in two years. Karli, who did my hi lights, cut and blow out was PERFECTION. She did the most incredible job I’ve ever seen. Jenny did my nails and they were exquisite. I felt like a VIP from the time I walked in, until I left. I will be getting ALL my services done only here from now on. If you are looking for the place to be treated like a star, then walk out looking like one… Salon Eben is the place!!!

I had a pedicure, hair cut, and Brazilian blowout at Salon Eben today. It was my first time going here but definitely won’t be my last! The staff is unbeatably friendly, the service is great, and the results were perfect! The owner, Dario, is one of the nicest people I’ve met so far! My pedicure was phenomenal! It was very relaxing and my toenails look perfect. The girl who did it(I can’t remember her name) did a thorough job and didn’t seem rushed at all. Usually they’re eager to get done with you so they can move onto the next person, but she wasn’t like that at all. It was really great! While I was having my pedi I was explaining to her that I got my hair cut at a different salon last weekend at the recommendation of a co-worker but I wasn’t happy with the cut or color at all. A stylist was nearby and overheard so she came over and started talking to me about it. Without knowing me or even touching my hair, she was able to put into words the things I didn’t like about the haircut(nobody else that I mentioned it to could seem to understand what I was talking about). She gave me some suggestions of things that would look nice on me and verbalized everything that I couldn’t. I immediately scheduled a haircut with her for this afternoon. Anita is the stylist I was talking to and the one that cut my hair… she’s amazing! The fact that she would consult with me without an appointment was great, and then after talking to her some more about how frustrated I am with the humidity in TX(I’m not from here), she recommended a Brazilian blowout so I had that done as well. She did a fantastic job! I immediately scheduled an appointment to get my color fixed in a couple weeks. As long as I’m here and as long as she’s there(she’s been there almost 9 years already), I will continue to go to her! While these are the main reasons I love this place, there are many more. The little touches make it a wonderful experience… they even offered me a glass of wine while I was getting my hair cut! The great people, the unpretentious attitudes, the skill level of the staff, having the owner on site and interesting with customers, it just couldn’t get better. Even though I live in Pasadena, making this a little bit of a trip for me, I will continue to go here and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great salon. Great job Salon Eben team, keep doing what you’re doing!

I was a first time client and will make sure to NEVER return. I have worked in the spa industry in the past and I was not impressed by the way they treat their customers. I had an appointment for eyebrow wax and tint. I was very hesitant on making an appointment at this location but decided to give it a try. I was taken back when I realized the tinting would be out in the open where they perform hair services and not be taken back to the more relaxing part of the spa. It was loud with blow dryers and other services going on in the background. It was more of a stressful environment then it was relaxing. It took the technician three different applications to finally get the color that I wanted for my brows, which was just dark brown. I have always gotten my brows tinted in the past and I have never had them just painted on more like brushed on. So I was very disappointed when the technician said it would come off when I washed my face this evening. When it came to the waxing service, I was very specific that I did not want my brows waxed on the top because I didn’t want to lose my arch and I did not want them thinned out. At the end of the surface, she had not only taken my arches away but cut the hair so short that it caused what looked like a bald spot where my brows began. When pointing them out, she explained to me that it was already like that. I know how my brows looked before I arrived here and I never had two bald spots. I was also unhappy because the two brows were completely different from each other. When she tried to fix them, she wasn’t understanding what I meant so I decided to go ahead and leave. Also it was already past one hour of the treatment and was told on the phone it would only take thirty. This now caused me to be late coming back from my lunch break. I paid and did leave a tip because I didn’t want to be rude. I called back the same day to speak with the manager and explained the situation. At first he was sympathetic and told me I could come back in 6 weeks to have a complimentary service but at this point I did not want to risk having the same thing happened twice. I then asked for a refund which I never do. He explained I needed to come back in person to give them the card for the money to be placed back on it. The following day I returned and I was hoping for an apology and there was a completely different tone from this man. I showed him a picture of how they looked when I left the spa(at that point I needed to even the brows myself because they were obviously not even). He then told me I should have told him yesterday when I left not today and normally they don’t allow refunds. Completely calm, I explained I understand that but the service was really disappointing and not what I was looking for. He then raised his tone explaining to me that his business has been number one in the area for 25 years over and over again as he just put out his hand to retrieve my card. I was completely mortified as there were other technicians in the lobby and also other clients. He then told me only $ 16 would be credited back to my account. I tried to explain to him that I wasn’t happy about the tint because it was all over my forehead away from the brows. He boasted and laughed by then saying that they have tint remover to remove the entire product off of my brows if I’m not happy with it but he is definitely not refunding me that amount also. Once the card was refunded and handed back to me there was no further apology but he then called the next client to the front leaving me standing there. I have never in my life been treated with such little respect. I will not return here ever again and also word of mouth is very powerful. I will make sure other customers know this as well.

I have been coming to Salon Eben for years & I love this place! You are treated like family. Juana is the only person in the world who can give me a pedi because I have trouble with my feet. She does an excellent job on my manicures as well. I also get my hair highlighted & cut at this salon. It’s a full service salon, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great salon.

I went back to Salon Eben on Saturday. Unfortunately, Elizabeth, who did my hair last time, abruptly left the salon. In my experience, this is typically a bad sign, but I don’t have enough information to support this. I went to a different stylist, Yosefina, who spent a lot of time trying to figure out what I wanted my hair to look like. Ultimately, I am less happy with it than I was when Elizabeth did it the previous time. Also, Yosefina made some comments that offended me. One comment I will choose not to elaborate on, but the other was in regard to my hair. I have been coloring my own hair at home since 2002. I GET A LOTOFCOMPLIMENTS on my color. The compliments come from EVERYONE, including stylists. When I first arrived, Yosefina asked, «Are we touching the color?» I said no, and then she proceeded to make some sort of joke that I didn’t quite get. After the hair cut, she said, «Don’t worry. Your color looks fine.»(Of course it does! It looks awesome! Just ask your fellow hair dresser, who complimented right in front of you.) People in the customer service industry really need to learn that they should keep their personal values to themselves, and really be careful about how comments might be perceived or misperceived. I definitely won’t go back to her. As far as the overall salon, it’s okay for the most part. There were lots of stylists there«milling about» with no clients, so I don’t know if this salon is long for this world.

My first visit to this Salon was a good one. The hair stylist Christiana, was friendly, on time, and did a great job. The salon is slightly small, they offer many services. All the staff seemed to be friendly. It cost $ 50.00 for a haircut. I will be going back to Christiana for future hair services.
