Good good good! Very filling pizza. If you want a hot pizza it won’t get any better because you have to cook it yourself lol! They don’t hold back on the topping and 2 slices of this will fill the average person up without a doubt my kids love this pizza. Nice weekend snack for them.

Great customer service and quality ingredients BUT the crust is not as high in quality as the normal chain pizza restaurants. I am not sure if it is made fresh daily in the stores but the taste is a mix between frozen pizza crust and canned pizza or biscuit dough. Yuck

This review is long overdue! We discovered Papa Murphy’s last year by chance. It was one of those days when I did not feel like cooking and wanted something different from our usual go to places. So, I sauntered in one day without any background info on Papa Murphy’s and ordered a stuffed meat pizza and a stuffed cheese pizza. No sooner than I took a seat to wait on my pizza, the preparer says,“Your pizza is ready ma’am. A look of bewilderment was upon my face as I asked,“How did you get my order ready so soon? As I looked at my pizzas, I was flabbergasted to see that it was uncooked. So I asked,” Is this a joke? Why are you giving me an uncooked pizza?” The young man chuckled and pointed to a sign near the door and said,“That’s the Papa Murphy’s way.” I was mortified from embarrassment in not reading any of the signs or doing my research before coming. However, I took my two pizzas home, cooked them, and devoured every bite! It was the best darn pizza I have ever had next to a pizza place I visited in Chicago! The dough was so fresh and sumptuous and the abundant amount of ingredients were just as fresh as the dough. Papa Murphy’s is now the only pizza place we patronage. As a side note, the pizzas take just 12 to 18 minutes to cook. LOVE, LOVE, LOVEPAPAMURPHY’S PIZZA!

I really like this Papa Murphys and its close to home which is always a plus. Its bright and clean and the staff is always very friendly. Its almost like their family, they do a good job of keeping up with their regulars. The ingredients and the toppings are fresh and you can always tell by the taste. Its nice to be able to bake the pizza at home on your own time. The staff is always available to answer any questions you may have in regards to baking your pizza(even though they come with instructions).

The cashier is ok, he welcomed me, but, I do not like another lady’s attitude, she did not try to talk to you even you were asking something, lazy working pace.

I love the concept. Some people say«why don’t you go to Kroger and buy a frozen pizza instead?» Well I say to them two words… Fresh ingredients. The difference between a «made to order» concept versus an uncooked frozen pizza is the fresh ingredients going into that pizza. Frozen pizzas are God knows how old. One reason I still prefer the taste over going to Pizza Hut is that it won’t be cold by the time I get home with it like when I order pick up from Pizza Hut. I just bake for 12−15mins at home and it comes out nice and hot. I’ve only had the Mediterranean and wow. The seasoning, the feta, it was a great combination! It was a pizza like I’ve never had. One of the best pizzas I’ve had in Houston. Get a punch card, when you get a special number of ten(or something like that) you get $ 10 off of a pizza. Tuesday’s they have the special of a large for $ 10. Give this place a try. You won’t regret it.

My first experience with Papa Murphy’s was when I was stationed in Washington, prior to moving back home to Houston… I was hooked. This was one of the first Papa Murphy’s to come to the Houston area(other than College Station) and we were very excited when they began to build this one. If you are not familiar with Papa Murphy’s, they are a take and bake pizza parlor. You can pick from the many preset pizza types, or create your own. They will make your pizza with fresh ingredients and give it to you so you may take it home and bake it.(Baking the pizza requires 12 – 16 minutes depending on the type of crust). They are very fast, however, if you are in a hurry, you can call ahead. Great pizza!

I first stumbled into this place because I felt slighted from a business in the same strip that serves the same fare but cooked. This was a grand idea, pizza made to order that you take home and bake yourself. Not only did it eliminate the problem with pizza that’s delivered or carried out, that being sogginess & too many hands *literally* in the supply chain(the germaphobe in me), the pizza here just tasted so good! I have personally made it a point to tell everybody who’s craving pizza about Papa Murphy’s. It’s especially good for pot luck, watching sports, movie nights w/friends… or it could even be your 6y/o daughter’s first attempt at making dinner for her parents and baby brother!(Picture included) The value is incomparable, you get more than what you pay for. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Very clean store which adds to the aesthetics of fresh food. This place is just awesome! Post Script I need to reiterate how friendly and accommodating the staff is!!! This says a lot about management!

I have passed by this location many times before and never thought about bringing my own pizza home to bake. But about three weeks ago I met the owner Trent at a Fort Bend Chamber event, and he told me I should try it. But before I could, I visited my mother and she told me that she had the best pizza the other night. She said my uncle had brought over a pizza and some cookie dough. I asked her where it was from and she handed me the Papa Murphy’s menu! So I went and tried it last Friday night, and boy was she right! First of all, the staff are all so friendly, all greeted me when I came in. Which is refreshing! Secondly it was very clean inside, which is very important! But the quality is top notch! It is honestly one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had! They make it fresh to order and all you have to do is pop it in your oven at 425 for about ten minutes, and out it comes all piping hot and fresh! I just went back again today and it is Monday! LOL! My kids love it too! We had the Papa’s All Meat on Friday, and tonight we had the Thai Chicken and a hamburger cheese. All are delicious. The chicken Caesar salad is good and fresh as well. And the chocolate chip cookie dough is so addicting! I guarantee if you try it once you won’t want delivery pizza again! Not to mention the pricing is really reasonable as well. Large original crust pizzas with multiple toppings run around $ 12 each. They have thin and original crust with a huge selection of super fresh toppings. They even grate their own cheese which is so obvious by tasting the pizza. They also have a mini Murph pizza kit for kids where they can assemble their own pizza, and for my son’s birthday party that’s what we are having! I think I am probably their best new customer! Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!

We tried the Chicago stuffed and it was pretty good. I would describe the concept similar to subway in that you can create your own take and bake right on the spot, or choose from their creations. They always seem to have good deals and coupons; for instance the first time we stopped in, it was buy one get one free, the second time it was $ 10 any style or size. For those living in the area, keep watch for a person holding a sign along HWY6 for the deal of the day.

It’s a take and bake type thing. Most of their«delite» pizza’s are really good. The only bad thing about this place is they lack customer service. Very rude! Half the time the guys are always on their phones texting!

We’ve always gotten the Mediterranean chicken de-lite pizza. It’s absolutely delicious! The crust is thin and has the perfect amount of crisp to it. The chicken is flavorful as opposed to other pizza places, and they pile on the veggies without being skimpy with the cheese. I, too, wish that they could bake it for you. But, we have to realize that this is a ‘take and bake’ place. To be honest, baking it at home isn’t even a problem. Just pop that baby in the oven, set the timer, and voila you’re done. The service is pretty good. The last time I went in, I didn’t realize it but it was a few minutes before they were closing and I didn’t get any mean stares or anything of that sort. They were extremely patient and nice, which I very much appreciated.

Tried this place last night and it was fantastic. We ordered the chicken bacon artichoke deLITE and the herb chicken mediterranean deLITE. The crust was nice and thin and the flavors were great. This is my new go-to pizza place. I think some of these people had a bad experience there because it is a new place, probably just working out the kinks.

Having lived in California Papa murphy’s was and still is my favorite pizza place. I tried it here in Houston and it is how I remembered it delicious! To the person that wrote a bad review about the place … come on now how do you not know it was a take and bake pizza place? Maybe read a little and do some research? also complaining about adding an extra dollar for a topping? every pizza place I know does that. For the price you pay for the pizza is well worth it, the quantity and quality is perfect. If you seriously cannot wait a good 45 mins for a pizza lol go to jack in the box or something. The bad reviews stated is just completely invalid try this place if you have the patience for some good fresh pizza. Oh also this isn’t for people that has weak arms to handle a simple tray lol also cook the pizza at the right temperature as givin with the pizza maybe then your cheese would have melted right. As for the no chicken part maybe there was maybe there wasn’t any probably you guys got a little to hungry to even realize if there was any and ate it all up. Everyone should atleast try this place once I have never been disappointed by papa murphy’s.

I guess you have to know how this place works to appreciate it. Yes it’s take & bake. It’s kinda like subway for pizza… you walk in pick your crust, sauce, and toppings. It’s certainly less expensive than a frozen pizza and with really high quality ingredients. We’ve had the Chicago stuffed, Awesome! The Garlic Chicken, needed more sauce but good. The cheese and sauce are great, the selection of toppings is way above and beyond most pizza places. Tonight it’s pepperoni and I’ll post the pic, it looks fantastic. The service has been outstanding both times. They take care to make your pizza just the way you like it, you’ll never get that anywhere else. Oh and low calorie options! Woohoo! The Con: You really should only make one pizza at a time in your oven.

My boyfriend and I loveee pizza. Receiving coupons for this place in the mail, we decided to give it a test run. We had planned on coming in and dining, but as it was nearing 8PM, we realized it was a little too late to dine in and decided to call and make a take-out.(Turns out, you can’t even dine in, it could be considered smaller than a Subway.) We decided to try the«Gourmet Garlic Chicken Pizza» for the in-store special deal of $ 9. We added extra mushrooms onto the pizza as well. The guy we talked to on the phone asked us to repeat several times before he actually got the correct order down. The guy stated that it was very busy at the moment and that it would take 45 minutes for our pizza to be ‘done’. As we pulled up into the plaza, I saw a guy walk out with a totally raw pizza and thought; ours took 45 minutes, so it has to be cooked right? We lacked the information of a ‘take-n-bake’ pizza and as we walked in, we were very hesitant to continue with our purchase(we were really really hungry and didn’t want to take it home and bake it and then wait for it to cool down and all that good stuff). As we checked out, our total came out to be a dollar extra because of the added mushrooms on top = $ 10 total. When we got home, we took the pizza out from the very unstable tray with seranwrap covering the entire pizza to discover there was no chicken. As we baked the pizza, and let it cool, our first bite was very unsatisfied. The cheese wasn’t as melted as we would like it. It felt all chunky and hard. There were no pieces of chicken, the crust wasn’t crispy enough in the middle of the pizza, and there was no garlic flavor. All in all, it was a main disappointment for us and we probably won’t be returning. Oh, and when we walked in there were only two pizzas on the tray behind them, and if that meant busy and meant taking 45 minutes to make a raw pizza, then I will definitely not recommend this place if you’re wanting a quick bite.

I decided to come here because until today, a large pepperoni pizza is only $ 5, which is not bad(can’t buy ingredients for the price!). The concept is interesting — the company makes the pizza, but doesn’t bake it in the store. I even question if there’s an oven in the store because you take your pizza home and bake it yourself(hence why I placed this restaurant in the do-it-yourself food category). I called at 11:17AM this morning(no online ordering that I could find, no delivery), ordered 2 large pepperoni pizzas(1 thin crust &1 original crust), and was surprised to learn that the wait time was 15 minutes(just like a pizza place who bakes your pizza, like Papa John’s in the same strip center). Nonetheless, I grocery shopped(in the Kroger strip center, next to the phở restaurant) and showed up at 11:30AM. No one had even started putting together my pizzas. I awkwardly stood in the restaurant(no chairs inside) while someone put together the ingredients, and the pizzas were available at 11:40AM. [I hesitate to write, «make a pizza,» because this implies a finished product.] The girl explained she was the only one there(although there was another guy making pizzas) and kept apologizing. However, verbal apologies are meaningless to me, especially since the Texans kicked off at noon. The pizza is okay; it doesn’t have much flavor. The mozzarella is stringy, not gooey. About 15 minutes after taking your thin crust pizza out of the oven(instructions state to let sit for 5 minutes), the cheese solidifies, and I feel like I am eating a hunk of string cheese with pepperoni. The sauce and crust aren’t too salty, which I suppose is better than Papa John’s, Domino’s, or Pizza Hut. This is definitely not Pink’s Pizza(my favorite in Houston), and I would probably prefer to go to Pronto’s Pizza down the street on Mondays, since for $ 1 more($ 5.99 for a one-topping carryout large pizza), I can pick up a pizza through a drive-thru, and it’s cooked. Unless there’s a coupon or some killer special(like $ 5 pepperoni pizza), I probably will not put this restaurant on my list of pizza places to call.
