First Community Credit Union

Very difficult bank to deal with. I sold my car to one of their members on May 9^th 2015. It is now July 17^th and I am still paying for a car that I no longer own. They claim to have sent the check 2 separate times, however, mysteriously they get lost in the mail. When I attempt to contact this bank via telephone, I get sent to a call center and get connected with someone who has no personal relationship with anyone at the bank. They assured me this would be taken care of, and it clearly hasn’t been. I would not recommend this bank to anyone who is looking for an establishment with integrity. If you do create an account and have an issue, be ready for the buck to be passed around.

I’ve been banking with them for a few years and I have no complaints. They also have an app with mobile check deposit which is cool.

FCCU does not allow people with concealed handgun licenses to carry concealed handguns inside the building. Be careful walking to and from your car with cash. They prohibit you from defending yourself and they stopped hiring police officers there for security. Even a supposedly big bad evil bank like Bank of America allows people to carry inside AND they have armed security in the parking lot. I was unaware that FCCU prohibits licensed people from carrying until just recently when they made their sign larger. I have started transferring money out of the credit union and hope to have the account closed soon. They also have a sign banning customers from wearing hats and sunglasses inside the building.
This is not the norm for financial institutions. Almost no banks have signs prohibiting lawful carry.

They are friendly, professional, and personal.
I highly recommend moving any money from a big national bank to these guys. It’s local, has higher financial standards, and is a great place to put your money.

My family and I have been banking with this credit union since I was born. We’ve been regularly going to this location for at least the last five years. Aside from the one time I showed up on a Saturday morning and the location was closed without explanation (docked two stars), this location’s staff is courteous and friendly.
