Came in to do a simple SIM card swap. James was very rude. He did not seem happy at all to be there. He didn’t make any type of conversation, not even a bye. Rude rude rude

When I walked in here, I had no idea where to go for assistance. There were only like 4 people working and about 7 – 10 customers. I had to stand around the check-out(?) area and wait for someone’s attention. After 5 minutes, the store manager approached me and asked for my name so that they could add it to their list. It seems like it’s the same system that Apple and AT&T uses except it wasn’t executed very well here since customers had to wait on him. After about 20 minutes, it was finally my turn. The guy was helpful, but pretty pushy and I felt kind of rushed. He seemed hell bent on making me get a plan right then and even offered to give me a temporary number for the time being. After explaining that I’m still deciding on a carrier, he gave me his card and told me that if I decide to return to ask for him because they get credit on their sales. Honestly, I probably won’t be returning because I’m not very impressed with their customer service. If I decide to go with Verizon, I may just go to a different store instead.

The store has gone through some recent changes in the last year both inside and with their employees. Both to me are vast improvements. I have had lots of trouble with my last two phones, and the way the problems were treated with the current phone made me a happy customer. I would suggest going during off peak hours though for this place is often packed. Mid morning, late afternoon, and a couple of hours before they close have typically have less people. As Melissa said, make sure you sign in on the computer when you get there. Sometimes there is someone to remind you to do so, but sometimes there isn’t.

At the store I usually can get an answer. I don’t have time to go in, and once you call the«local» number — NOT — you go into perpetual automzated push the button system. It you post a local number let it be a local number! Why can’t they just get someone to pick up the phone and have a conversation? Especially if you are like me and pay a cell phone bill equal to a car payment! Don’t you think you could get decent customer service and talk to someone in person~! It was obviously a national automated system designed to frustrate the customer!

Verizon Wireless has a new large store right on the corner of Hwy 6 and 59. We stopped by to help my dad and step-mom try out and purchase new smart phones. When you walk in, you wander around. Nothing obvious says you ‘must check in’ on the computer. We stood around waiting to be helped and then saw someone check in. We wondered if we just were dense and missed it, but we noticed that the vast majority of people who walked in didn’t see the check in either. Not the best system. As I tried out the different ‘Droid’ phones, I watched the displayed check in list. It is on the TV on the wall and salespeople are supposed to take the next person in line. I noticed a woman who had just signed in approach a salesman. She asked for help and I watched him glance at the list on the screen several times. As I eavesdropped hoping he was tell her it wasn’t her turn, but I was wrong. She was young and cute and he helped her before 5 people on the list ahead of her. I heard him say ‘oh you JUST walked in’, but he helped her anyway. We finally were helped by a very knowledgeable man named Ike. He knew everything about the phones and it was quite helpful. I thought our experience was taking a turn for the better. We worked with him and ended up purchasing 2 Droid phones. The problem with Ike is that he seems like he is helping you and then disappears. You think he is doing something for you and then you turn around and he is helping someone else. There is something to say for multitasking, but seriously… Finish with the person who is making a 2 smart phone purchase first! I was very unhappy after this happened several times and we were about to walk out, but he had our old phones hostage. I asked him if there was anyone else who could finish our sale and he smiled and said he would be right with us. It was very frustrating. Why does purchasing a phone feel like buying a used car? I felt dirty after the whole process.
