Their nihari is a must try! One of the best in Houston. I also like their burgers, but I think the size of their burger is too small for the price, if they make it bigger then that would be perfect. Their weekend breakfast is also decent.

DONT Pay with Credit Card We went to Yasmeen Café last Sunday and spent about $ 40. During the week I checked my bank statement to find out that they have taken out $ 20 in tip. When we called the owner he said he did not know about it but the Manager who charged us the $ 20 tip had done it to other customers. Do not pay with a credit card at this establishment.

Café Yasmeen, U got it goin on girl!!! Yasss yasss yasss. Unilocalers, U gotta have the weekend brunch, which is their specialty. They have 5 – 6 traditional items which consists of Nihari(fine chunks of beef with gravy) Keema(ground beef) Curried potatoes Curried chick peas Halwa(sweet. Desert) All these items come with unlimited nAan(grilled pita bread) and puri(fried pita bread). Price is very reasonable for the buffet. Also for those who do not opt for buffet, then they do have items like burgers, sandwiches, chicken tenders, chicken tikka, kabob etc. They have a sign at the payment counter which shows their daily special deal of the day. U may want to call them also and ask what the deal of the day is. They also provide complimentary tea, after completing your meal and their is a table where U can find the fixings for the tea and buffet. The place is missing an ambiance, and it is relatively smaller in size. In my experience, most of the ‘hole In a wall’ provide the best meal. Till next time, keep feastin’

This place is good for weekend brunch. Try their omelette roti and halwa puri. Quick service and reasonable price. We tried their chicken biryani n chicken tikka burger in our second visit. Both the items were tasty. But the raita they gave for biryani was very less quantity. Will definitely visit for the weekend brunch.

Great place for indian even burgers, patty melt, philly steak type of place. My wife loves there chicken tikka sandwich, pretty nice staff once you remove the cultural barrier. Its more of a great fast food type of place. I had almost everything on the menu. I keep coming back.

This place is alright. Their nihari is good but their burgers could definitely be better.

Not the best place to dine out in terms of seating but the Sunday brunch buffet tasted great– way better than I expected. The options in the buffet weren’t the healthiest, but I guess it’s not a puri unless it’s oily. I’ve also tried the chicken tikka masala and really liked it. They have big servings as well, I got it to go and ended up eating it for 3 meals.

This place has great reviews on Google and Unilocal, but what I had makes me think someone is stuffing the ballot box with dishonest reviews or perhaps they’re used to really horrible tasting food. For lunch today I had the Jalapeño burger«combo»(quotation marks are entirely intentional) and substituted onion rings for the fries. The burger bun was actually considerably larger than the very salty and dry patty inside. Before I ordered, I made sure to ask if the meat was halal and the guy behind the counter said yeah, but when he didn’t ask how I wanted the meat cooked, I knew something must be up. It tasted like the precooked frozen patties that are sold in bulk and are only as thick as three stacked quarters. The lettuce was but one leaf that was yellowing and there were a couple of jalapenos on it. The menu board items are all stock photos of the dishes being served and what you get will look nothing like the food you are ordering from, so don’t worry if you don’t like sesame seeds on your bun, chances are it will really depend on what kind of bread they have on hand that day. You expect this sort of thing at a fast food joint, but not from a place trying to pass itself off as a «café». I don’t know about the indian or «eastern» dishes, but because of what I got in the«western» side of the menu I know I won’t be back to try. And I love spicy food. Houston has a ton of amazing«hole in the wall» restaurants which are better than most 5 star restaurants… without the 5 star price. My wife is Pakistani and we eat spicy ALL the time which is why I was willing to give the place a shot. Also, there are no prices on the board, so, take that for what you will. You may pay the regular price or you may pay the«special» price for people who don’t know better. Since I don’t know how much the combo normally goes for, apparently the salty, dry, too small it gets lost inside the bun halal burger with frozen straight out of the bag, not freshly cut up and battered onion rings is somewhere close to $ 8 and that’s without a drink. Some«combo» that is. I felt soo sick for not listening to my gut feeling to give this place a pass when I first pulled up in the parking spot out front and then again as I was waiting inside to order. Very angry at myself for having overpaid for what I could have prepared in 15 minutes at home, no, scratch that, if I had spent the time making the same meal at home, it would have been a hell of a lot better than what I ate. Note to self, listen to myself next time. *Revision #1* My wife told me that the Western Menu is crap, but the Eastern Menu is supposed to be really, really good. So there may be something to the positive reviews posted here. I added a star just in case. I’ll have to check the Eastern food out and judge for myself, but in my opinion, they shouldn’t even have a Western Menu if they’re not going to try and make it top quality. It will only do more harm than good for their business.

Its Pakistani cuisine first of all. Than there weekdays deal and weekend buffet are amazing. Yasmeen’s burgers are also amazing. However, their weekend«Paye» in breakfast is die for. Must go there

They have the best halwa puri on Sundays. We go there for their buffet most of the time. Otherwise we take it to go. Best puris!

I asked for two cups tea, they did not have enough for two cups, o the person divided less than one cup of tea in two cups and filled the cups will milk. Therefore the tea was old, cold and white. We had to throw both cups of tea. IF you do not have tea, say so, don’t fool customers. Otherwise food is good, restaurant is okay. But I was disappointed seeing the tea.

Hands down one of my favorite spots in all of Houston. Great choice for all zabiha eaters! I flew in from out of town tonight and went straight to Yasmeen for dinner and wasn’t disappointed. Many reviews are unfair as they are fairly old and outdated. I’m not sure how the food was a few years ago but it’s great now. I go at least a few times a week to try the burger and it is very consistent. The half pound burger and buffalo chicken are great. I’m not too sure about the desi food but I’ve heard good things as well. It’s probably smart to go with the dish of the day because it’s probably most fresh that day. 5⁄5 stars.

If you looking for Pakistani food this is the place. Things to try: Mehthi chicken Biryani– best paki style not very oily at all Steak sub. Philly cheese better than ones in Philly. Burgers are pretty decent as well More importantly people are nice and 2 for 1 daily deals will feed a family for 3 days for about $ 8. Nobody can beat that!!!

Yeah went there once and never going back, here’s why: First thing I enter the restaurant and see: ROACHES(Disgusted me, but since I was already by the counter, I figured I’d give their food a try). Ordered Chicken Biryani: SUPER Expensive for the shittiest tasting Biryani and that too was cold and in a small go-to bag. Ordered some of their beef patties: Barely any beef in it and yes it too sucked. I DONOTUNDERSTAND why anyone would go to this nasty overpriced place when you have Chevron Family kitchen in walking distance who has brilliant food? My advice: Stay away, pricey, nasty, and cold food with Roaches roaming everywhere.

I went today and bought 4 beef samosas to-go for $.89 each. Just based on the samosas, I’m better off at the Indian Spices grocery store off of Hwy 90(not too far away), where the samosas are 3 – 4 times bigger for $.75. Café Yasmeen’s samosas are also so spicy that I couldn’t taste the beef. Oh well, it was worth a shot. Inside the place was kind of dingy, but they do have a daily buy one, get one free entrée. I overheard a customer say the portion size was huge and requested the other half of the meal to-go. They also serve an Indian breakfast. Perhaps if I’m curious, I’ll go again someday.

I ordered the gyro and the boti roll. The gyro was decent but lacked meat! This was my first time time having a boti roll, roughly the same concept as a gyro but Indian. It’s was surprisingly good and portion was huge and it was cheap.
