I have been a customer of Bagel Express for many, many years.
Being from NY originally, I am picky about my bagels. B.E. does an excellent job. They boil the dough and cook on stones. The bagels are excellent.
The breakfast menu is a typical deli breakfast menu. Eggs are eggs and bacon is bacon. The bagels make the difference.
Grammy’s tuna is also excellent. (It is my wife’s favorite)
I like the whitefish salad and the egg salad.
I have read quite a few of the reviews and I disagree. The counter staff is always courteous and my orders are correct. If they aren’t correct, they are fixed immediately.
Barry and Sharon are the perfect hosts and I will be a customer for a long time.
(and I always bring cash… what is the big deal with cash? Too many whiny brats on Unilocal that have never run a restaurant, oy vey)

I’ve been coming here for years, and still feel like the Everything Bagel breakfast sandwich here is the best breakfast in town. I make sure I have cash or my checkbook – they don’t accept cards, but it’s worth the planning ahead. And the coffee is excellent.

Terribly rude staff which had the audacity to accuse my husband of lying about an item of food (a blueberry muffin) we paid for and didn’t receive which we then had to travel 12+ miles round trip to get it. Please retrain your front store staff on how to communicate in a professional way! This was an extremely poor experience this morning and my family won’t return again. We were regular customers too, never had a problem with anyone here before this event but the rudeness and accusation of lying were a enough to sour our previously positive view of this establishment.

This is one of our favorite places to eat! The bagels are wonderful, and the people who work here are great! Our breakfast is always fresh and hot when served. Wish it was closer to our house but it is definitely work the drive. Thank you Bagel Express!

I had a very simple sesame bagel (toasted) with cream cheese and nova (lox) and a coffee. It was like coming home. I couldn’t stop thinking about it for days afterwards — it was that simple, but that good. Can’t wait to go back.

I ordered an western omelette for $ 10. Taste is average, like IHOP. The biggest annoyance is they don’t take credit cards. Seriously!!!

Whether you live in the Sugar Land area or happen to be here in the morning time frame Express Bagel needs to be at the top of your list. Everything is made fresh and taste great. So get off your butts and stop in for breakfast sometime soon.

Being from New Yawk I real picky about my pizza and bagel. This place hits the spot, great breakfast bagel although a bit pricey. But as the old saying goes you pay for quality.

Pricey… small coffee for $ 2.25? a rip off. Ordered coffee. Never received coffee.
Toasted bagels were simply dropped off on table. No thank you. Nothing…
Asked to talk to manager. Cashier never asked manager to contact us…
Visited sat around 11 am
Next time I Will go to one of the other bagel places near this one.

I’m not sure how, but after repeating it three times, they still put the incorrect cream cheese on my Mother’s cinnamon bagel (regular instead of strawberry). Also, how did two $ 1.20 bagels equal $ 7?!

They only take cash or check… there goes a star off the bat. I’m sorry but in this day and age that’s just annoying. We just came in to grab a half dozen bagels. The bagels were good but not amazing. Also kind of expensive in my book, a half dozen bagels to go (you get 7) are $ 7.

We visited this morning (Saturday), overall experience was good. A little pricey for what you are getting, but good.
They only take cash or check (??!) so I had to go to the ATM and come back since we had already order.
There was a funny smell too, not sure what it was but tolerable.
The owner (or manager maybe) was walking around the place greeting people, I guess there are regulars who like the place.
Not sure if we’ll be back to be honest, maybe we’ll give them another chance in the future, but not really excited about coming back.

Great place! We discovered this place after looking for some bagels in Sugar Land. The prices are reasonable, and the food tastes great. Barry (owner) took the time to say hello at our table, very nice guy.
Overall, I would highly recommend this place!

Only my 2nd time in here, and i didn’t exactly ask for anything challenging and they weren’t very busy.

The server was friendly and quick with my food. It cost about $ 7 and change.
The food was hot and fresh — the bagel was fluffy and tasty and I brought home the dawg cause I was full.
The server even made a special trip to grab me napkins. Great service!
