Friendly staff, helpful, always well stocked. Just what you want from a small town grocery store!

For a small town, the customer service at this store continues to shock me even the few times I find it necessary to go there. Their produce is normally spoiled. I was once told that I can always ask for something fresh in the back. Really? Wouldn’t you want your fresh stuff out and throw the spoiled product away? Besides, anytime you ask for help with anything, it is like you are inconveniencing the worker. I’ve had customer disservice in produce, in the deli, and even at the customer service desk! Believe me Jewel of Sugar Grove, if I had another option in close proximity, I would not be back to your store. My hope is that Aldi can soon provide more specialty items so my loyalty can stay there. To the workers-I am sure this is not your dream job but make the most of your day and count your blessings. At least you have a job.

Does Satan run the deli? I have had a string of awful experiences at this deli. One time they ignored me and helped a man who walked up behind me. The lady finally saw me and told me sorry, but I «need to grow» so they could see me better. Thanks, deli lady, I love personal insults with sliced turkey. Yesterday i ordered chicken online for an event. They didn’t have order and told my husband«that online order thing doesn’t really work.» THENWHYDOYOUHAVEIT? They run out of items all the time, rarely cut meat the way I ask, and they act like customers are an imposition. Ugh. This deli might be the portal to hell. Buy their meat and cheese at your own risk.

Are you kidding me? Not nearly enough workers, self check outs are the biggest hassle because as we all know when, not if, but when the machine acts up an employee needs to put in a code or whatever… I WASWAITINGOVER5MINUTESFORSOMEONETOHELPMEANDOTHEREMPLOYEESWEREJUSTSTANDINGAROUNDDOINGNOTHING. Fruits are old. Employees are RUDE, except this one lady at the lottery counter or whatever she’s very nice. :). but yeah… I tried buying alcohol on my 21st bday right? And the lady says something along the lines of they cant take this ID(it was a drivers license but wasnt horizontal because just turned 21 that day needed to go to dmv, wasnt expired or anything) LIKETHEYCANTTELLTHEDATE, IFYOUCANTDOTHATSIMPLEFRICKENTHINGCORRECTLYTHENDONTHIRETHEM. I do ALL of my business elsewhere, mostly the walgreens accross the street, or if i need other stuff, i drive the extra 15 minutes to the woodmans because theres nothing else in this country backwood redneck hillbilly of a town.

Clean, no long lines. Only thing is the pharmacy drive thru is set up oddly. Other than that, it’s fine.

I was recommended to use Jewel’s floral shop for flowers(bridal bouquet, corsages and boutonnieres) for my small, intimate wedding. Originally, I considered making my own bouquet due to our budget, but with little time on my hands and last minute details left to do, I decided to go there and see what(if anything) they could do. Well, after I explained to the designer about our budget and needs, she made awesome suggestions. Thus, I put my faith in her and the products she was to deliver. And did they deliver?! Yes! All of the floral arrangements were just what I envisioned. They were elegant, fragrant and simply beautiful. Plus, they didn’t cost us an arm and a leg, they were super affordable. Sweet! I’ll definitely go there again and recommend them for any occasion. Who would have thought I’d get my wedding flower arrangements from a grocery store? But, I did and I loved everything about it.

Wow, this is one ginormous Jewel. We stopped in to pick up a few things and needed a map to find what we needed. It’s a Jewel people. It was clean, no long lines, friendly employees, but what’s with the old carts? While picking up what we stopped in for, I also found some items the Jewel I usually shop at has stopped carrying and they were on sale(double score). And they seemed to have a rather LARGE selection of beers, much larger than our local Jewel.(It’s hot out ~ liquid refreshments are needed) Now, can someone just answer me this? Why do you no longer carry Viva paper towels with decorations? White is soooooooooooooooooo boring.
