If you have a wallet, Sudbury Farms has a vacuum. The price is not as bad as Whole Foods. However, Every item here is more expensive than it needs to be. But, they are consistently fresh and will prepared. The way to shop is to skip the new Whole Foods. Come here and shop around the edges of the store. Get their fish, fruit, deli, meats and prepared items. All are good and are worth the price. It is less than Whole Foods by a lot. Sudbury Farms is your weekly trip. Once every two or three weeks, drive to Market Basket for any packaged items. The difference will astound you. I buy a lot of cottage cheese and yogurt. The same brand of cottage cheese in the same package is 70 cents less. The same yogurt is 50 cents less per unit. My general rule of thumb: if it comes in a package, get it from MB and stock up. If it is fresh and/or sold by the pound, get it from Sudbury Farms. You can save over $ 100 a month this way and still get the good quality stuff from Sudbury Farms.

Most expensive grocery store… constantly raising prices well above whole foods… without the service, produce, cheese shop, flowers, fish and butcher that whole foods offers. Their most wonderful people have left and Gone to WF as well.

I live in other town, but I stopped by the supermarket once awhile, and I have had favorable impression on the supermarket until today. Sudbury Farms this location is a great store for almost everything. There are variety of foods that customers can choose from, and they all look fresh and nicely stacked and stored. I like their breakfast sandwiches and delicious tasting coffee sold there. The meats sold there are also fresh. However, there was one glitch this morning when I went there; I was carrying a basket for doing a small amount of grocery. When I noticed that bottled waters are on sale, I started immediately looking for a carriage to carry several packages of the bottles. Coincidentally, I saw an employee who was pushing an empty carriage passing by; he apparently was doing the job of putting an extra carriage for someone like me, who forgot to grab a carriage from outside. When I asked him whether I could get the carriage he was pushing, his expression went sour with red pissed by my asking, but then he conceded handing over the empty carriage. What a jerk!

New to the area and I have to say, this is a great place to shop! They have an excellent bakery, meat selection, and they sell adult beverages(while somewhat limited:)). I’m not a fan of their hot food bar(although, in a crunch for time it is ok). I find the staff to always be pleasant.

Sudbury Farms is a great store for almost everything — except for their Seafood Department. Three times(apparently I am a slow learner) I have purchased fish at Sudbury Farms planning on cooking it that evening and when I took it out of the refrigerator it smelled so strong it went directly outside to the garbage barrel. We have had several friends tell us that they have had the same experience and no longer buy seafood at Sudbury Farms. While I do most of my shopping at Sudbury Farms, I have learned to go elsewhere to buy seafood.

I was really excited as they had Skinny Girl Popcorn on sale 2/$ 5 upon entering. Scooped that up. Also scooped up a $ 5 Cluck — the wings were the only thing cooked. It is not safe to eat raw chicken, and I’m surprised that the hoity toitys that patronize this place would put up with that. Mangos $ 2.99 a piece and not ripe! $ 1.00 at Shaw’s perfect for eating. They did have Minoelas which Shaw’s carries for like a week, but at $ 2.99 a pound. Bananas .79 a pound, just as green as Shaw’s at .59 a pound. Presentation is nice, but prices for the items I usually buy are much more affordable at Shaw’s and not as crowded.

Relatively pricy but it does have everything you need and it is at a convenient spot.

I go here often for lunch during the work week. The hot bar is awesome. There is always a very wide selection of great quality food to choose from. I’m a big boy and load up the plate, and the price is always under $ 13. Pretty good, as this would be about two meals for an average person. I only have two minor complaints about this location. 1. The check out process is slow. 2. The tidal wave of old people going in and out of this store makes the parking lot extremely hazardous to walk through. I don’t do any grocery shopping here because the prices are high, but the delicious hot bar makes me a fan.

Love the seafood and meat — very fresh. Don’t love the high prices at Sudbury Farms, but sometimes it’s just worth it.

Living on the east side of Marlborough means we don’t have a Hannaford close by anymore. Price Chopper is so so and the Shaw’s in Sudbury is just plain depressing. The selection is great overall, but they have a very well stocked gourmet section. The bakery and deli are top notch and their wine and beer selection is good. The only tiny complaint I have is the meat department, the quality could be just a touch better. The service is fantastic and even on busy days getting through the checkout line isn’t an ordeal. The prices are reasonable provided you don’t get tempted to buy a lot in the gourmet section. The ready to eat meals and sandwiches are overpriced, but that’s the price of convenience I guess. Overall Sudbury farms is a nice, clean, friendly store where stuff is easy to find and good quality.

Always forget they are here until I drive by and go in. It can get crazy so if you are lucky enough to go when its not bustling, give yourself time — they have so many cheeses and wines at excellent prices. Service is superb, selection superb. Step up from Roche Bros(they are a Roche Bros) but a notch down from WholeFoods. BEAUTIFUL pastry cases — dont tell me later I did NOT warn you! And the people make the place.

Compared with Whole Foods, this is still a good store, but it’s fallen in quality from the Good Old Days of Sudbury Farms. It’s not very near where I live, but I used to come here for all my meat and fish because they did so good a job, both in service and food quality. Starting in early 2011, though, the quality of the service has dropped hugely. Where once the butchers were ready to serve, now they try to ignore you if you want anything that is extra trouble.(One time they said, «we’re busy, come back in 20 minutes»(!) when I was the only person at the counter.) Likewise the fish department: In mid-April, I bought five pounds of «previously frozen» salmon fillets. When I got them home and unwapped them, I found that most of the flesh was mush — the consistency of slightly undercooked oatmeal — evidently it had been previously frozen and then previously thawed and then previously frozen again and … I tried cooking it anyway, but it also had a bitter off-flavor, though it definitely was not spoiled. It took multiple problems over the course of a year to drive me away, but I don’t shop here any more. Oddly, this seems to be a problem with this specific store. I’m now going to the Roche Brothers in Natick and getting quality and service as good as I used to get at Sudbury Farms.

The bread here is fantastic. They’re owned by Roche Brothers. The prepared foods are similar to Roche Brothers.

I was blown away by the spaciousness of this store. If I had more time, I would have done my grocery shopping. It was a trip to get flowers for our friend Marge who celebrates her 86th birthday tomorrow. Kelsey was so generous in her arrangement of the bouquet of flowers. Marge loved them.

Best grocery store EVER. I grew up in Sudbury and when I go home I only want to eat food from Sudbury Farms. I’m not kidding. I love this place. The service is amazing(they bring your food out to your car for you!) and they are super nice and friendly(they all know my family since my parents have lived in Sudbury for nearly 30 years). Everything they sell is of the highest quality — fruits, vegetables, deli meat, you name it. My favorites are the chicken drummies, MUFFINS(blueberry and coffecake), Bagels, roasted potatoes… oh man, I am getting hungry just thinking about it. I hear that Shaq recently mentioned in an interview how much he loves this place too.

When you shop at Whole Foods as often as I do and spend $ 150 and walk out with more then 5 bags, it’s a great day. I LOVE Roche Bros. The fruit is in decent shape, they have a really well planned layout throughout the store. Their sales are great, and if I ever have a question, there is someone human not that far away. It was refreshing to buy a ton of food today and not have just a few bags(Whole Foods/Check). Great variety and awesome selection of organic foods… etc. etc. Love this place! I have done catering with these guys 2x — they do a great job!

Sudbury Farms is not your typical grocery store. I tend to think of it as an offspring of Whole Foods and Stop and Shop. I’ll give you a minute to let that image pass. Welcome back. Sudbury Farms has much of the traditional grocery store that you’d find at Stop and Shop. Items like Velveeta and real-ish chips. It also has a nice prepared foods section, good cheese selection, and organic/local produce. While I generally find it tough to do a grocery shopping for a week at Whole Foods you can certainly do it at Sudbury. And now that the update to the store is complete it’s even nicer than it was before. Like any high end grocery store you’re going to pay more. I beg it a bit below Whole Foods but a higher bit above a regular grocery store. They often have pretty good specials that make items like ribs/steak/fish cheaper than other grocery stores and sometimes even BJs. So, keep an eye out for those deals. The meat section isn’t as good as Whole Foods but it’s good and has a wider selection than a grocery store. I tend to go first thing in the morning and its not busy but I expect that it gets pretty full later in the day. There is a decent amount of parking but it shares its lot with a few other stores, so you’ll most likely be able to find parking but you may have to walk a bit. The other good thing I’ve noticed is they never let the lines get too long before opening another register and the manager is always around to provide quick help to cashiers to limit waiting time. It’s not easy to win me over but now Sudbury Farms is my primary grocery store and I’m sure it will be yours too.

i would even go to 4.5 no halfses. so i moved and they were kind enough to send us a welcome coupon book, free eggs, bacon, english muffins, a cake(!) and oj. they didnt have oj, but a quick follow up with the staff let us take another comparable juice. the cake was very good, and i know what you are thinking, store bought cake, no thanks, but really it was good. the eggs were eggs and i havent had the bacon, but it looks pretty consistent. overall, this place is nicer that shaws/stop and shop, but not as nice as a whole foods. will we be back? meh maybe not, i still like my stop and shop deli section.

Everything there is fresh for the most part. This place may cost a fraction more than other supermarkets; but it’s immaculate and fresh which makes up for it. I can zip in and out of there pretty quick if I’m not there during the rush. If you’re not using the express lanes, your shopping cart gets serviced to your car. They also help you put the groceries into your car as well. This is a nice service they provide.
