What I appreciate about Tender Greens is that wherever I go it’s the same! Consistency matters big time. Stay healthy; eat healthy fellas!

I have given it a few chances because I am always looking for something«healthy», but this place is so disgusting and over priced!!! I just paid almost 16 bucks for 2cents of lettuce and a couple pieces of old oily fatty chicken. The chicken was old, cold and hard. I can’t even describe it. So mad!!! It’s literally not edible!!! My dog just got 16 bucks of shitty chicken and I’m going to Inn and out!!!

Bummed that they recently increased their prices! Although the food is very good, the prices are now inflated.

Let me start off by saying, I don’t like to write bad reviews unless it’s necessary. The food here is great. I could eat here everyday. However, for my first time… the customer service was below average. Before I came in, I looked at Unilocal photos to get an idea of what I should order. I saw tuna crustinis, so I asked the employee if they had an option for a side of tuna salad like in the photo. She stared at me blankly. I said«like the mixed tuna with mayo, not albacore tuna, like the crustinis… in the photo… on Unilocal?» And she continued to stare at me blankly. After a couple moments of silence and staring at me like Id asked for something absolutely astonishing she got creative«we have albacore tuna.» Okay, never mind. On another note… the market veggies are amazing! Must order.

This is a great place for lunch or a casual dinner. There are a ton of options for a wide range of people(meat, veggie, savory, sweet) and the atmosphere is pretty casual. I usually get a plate here but the sandwiches are good too. I usually like to eat a lot of food, especially for lunch, and the plate(steak, fried chicken) is usually enough if I get mashed potatoes as a side. However, I have friends who get the salads and often leave hungry which is disappointing especially for $ 11 – 15. Their desserts are always tempting, but I’ve only found a few to taste as good as they look. Specifically the cookies and whoopie pies are the best standard desserts they carry. The staff behind overall is amazing. The people taking orders usually are very happy and peppy. The people walking around taking trays are incredibly helpful. They’re polite and always offer napkins or to refill your drink in a to-go cup which brings a lot of the perks of a restaurant with waiter service to this place.

I tried Tender Greens for the first time and I’m SOGLAD I did! I ordered the Thai Shrimp Salad, which was probably one of the best salads I’ve ever had! It was packed with flavor and the shrimp was big and juicy. The greens were nice and crisp, you could tell they were fresh. My husband ordered the bbq chicken salad and he loved his salad as well. Each salad costs between $ 11& $ 12, which is on the pricier side for a salad… but you def get what you pay for. The salads are not huge, but not incredibly small either. I will definitely be back to try other things on their menu.

Great food, but for deliveries and pick up, they get the order wrong every single time. Deducting one star for this.

This place is good clean food! First time being here and location is nice! Very roomy not too crowded. U order your food on the first register and u walk over to the other register on the other end where you pay and your food is ready and served! I ordered the albacore salad with hibiscus tea! Everything they serve here is organic and tasty. You would not think its good coz its greens. They serve chicken, and steak also! So carnivores are in for a treat! Every meat is grass fed

I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to finally jump on the Tender Greens craze! I could probably eat at Tender Greens every week and not get bored of their food. At first, I was a little thrown off by the location because I always assumed the parking lot was a mess, but they actually have TONS of parking underground, just remember to not only take your ticket, but get it validated! Otherwise, you will be very unhappy. Okay so the food. Delicious! So far, everything that I’ve tried is so good, just typing and thinking about is making my mouth water. One of my personal favorites, is the Fried Chicken Salad. The salad comes with the most perfect pieces of freshly fried chicken(4.5 ounces, so you’re not overwhelmed) thin slices of radishes, and refreshing slices of cucumber. And the dressing? The dressing is delicious! A very flavorful Dill Ranch dressing. I always order an extra container to dip my roasted veggies into. But the fried chicken salad, is one of my favorites and I highly recommend it. Another favorite is the roasted carrots and parsnips. They’re so flavorful and perfectly roasted and go great with just about any entrée or salad that you ordered. And like I mentioned above, I always ask for a small container of the dill dressing to dip said veggies into. Trust me, you won’t be sorry. My other go to is their marinated Steak Sandwich with roasted peppers and a scrumptious aioli. My tip is order the steak medium rare, other wise it’s very rare, and I enjoy eating rare steaks, but this was too rare for me. Tons of chewy bits, but after ordering it medium-rare, no issues! Perfect and delicious steak. The atmosphere is great! It’s set up like a cafeteria, but for adults. They have tons of great beverages to choose from and they even have a wine list. While it’s more expensive than fast food, it’s healthier, more flavorful, and worth the price. I could eat here every day and be perfectly happily. Highly recommend Tender Green! Can’t wait to try everything on their menu!

Tender Greens is a very good chain. This store on the night we went recently served hot food cold. And the cold food a little flat. I was embarrassed because I had made the recommendation to go here. Probably just an off night but I really was surprised.

The food here and all other Tender Greens are simply the tastiest and more affordable than other healthy food joints. I particularly come back to the Green Tenders for their iced tea and steak sandwich. The line to order and to pay is easy to navigate through and the wait usually isn’t too bad, unless of course you get there at lunch rush hour. All in all, this place is highly recommended.

I can’t believe we haven’t been here sooner! We came here for lunch today and it was great. My boyfriend had the Harvest salad and I had the Chipotle Chicken salad(I think that was the name?) without the dressing and both salads were great. They were $ 11.50 each, which is fair given the quality ingredients and the size of the salads(big). The salads also come with a slice of toasted bread(ciabatta maybe?) which was also good — next time, I might have to ask for another slice as well! All of the staff was very helpful and friendly. When we were looking at the menu, a man came over and was talking to us since it was our first time — he also suggested a few items. The sides of veggies looked really good, as did the desserts, but we did not have any. The pineapple/orange juice combo was good. The staff helps bring your tray(s) to your table, clears the tables, and even asked if we wanted a drink refill to go. We will definitely be back!

This is a nice location. Food is always reliable. The roasted veggies. Way to go. Do not pass those up for anything. All of the salads are good but my favorite is the chipotle chicken plate with the aforementioned deliciousness of the roasted selections of multi-colored carrots(would it blow your mind if I told you the only color that carrots don’t normally come in is orange? Most are red, dark purple, brown, yellow, etc.), roasted Brussels sprouts(Ohhh. So good), and fingerling potatoes of all colors. My only complaint is and always will be the cost of their mediocre wines that run about $ 7 a glass and are rarely poured correctly. I don’t like me an under pour. They have that block thingie that measures it(about 5 oz) out for you. I wish they’d use it more often. If I’m to pay $ 7 for dime store wine, I’d rather it be 7 or 9 oz. Just saying. You don’t have to be Morton’s, but if you serve wine, do the right thing and do it right and do it tight.

Great food. Salads, soups, and sandwiches for the most part, along with some hipster-sides like white sweet potatoes in trendy seasonings, and a squash salad that hardly tastes healthy! I love their selection of drinks; a few alcohol options, mint lemonade and hibiscus tea. Or if you prefer, they also have sodas. The best for last… A cute selection of not so healthy desserts including«drunken holes.» I’m not exactly sure what was in these but wow! Better than your average donut holes! Plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. Café style. Service was prompt and friendly. A gentleman from the kitchen eagerly came out to bring us our last dish and refills. Definitely recommend for a healthy lunch with friends!

Tried the new Tender Greens Studio City for lunch. Love the concept — fresh, farm-to-table style ingredients, made fresh to order as you walk along the counter, not inexpensive though fairly priced, easy and healthy. Chinese Chicken Salad: large, loaded and beautiful, and extremely flavorful — only downside as I wrote this review, I happened to look at their menu online and discovered the dish as prepared had 640 calories and 37 grams of fat. OUCH! Tuna Nicoise Salad: similarly gorgeous and yummy but 530 calories and 35 grams of fat. OOPS! Back to the standard warnings you hear about salads not being all that healthy when they’re locked and loaded. Be fair-warned! Though delicious, they are not exactly HEALTHY. Even so, I would go back but probably modify the dishes to suit a healthier version(dressing on the side …). The other thing I would mention is in the lunch rush hour, it is VERYLOUD, such that it’s difficult to have a conversation at your own table. THATSUCKS. So I will try to go back during slightly less busy times and try more of their delicious selections.

For healthy and organic«faster» food, served in a cafeteria-like environment, Tender Greens is a decent choice. There are no tablecloths and no waiters, but that doesn’t mean their helpful staff won’t come by to remove your tray or ask if you want a refill on your iced tea or lemonade.(Free refills, ya’ll!) The main menu consists of soups, salads, and sandwiches. On the big plates you’re offered a choice of protein — salt-and-pepper chicken, herb-brushed albacore, falafel etc — and then you choose how you want it: on a sandwich, as a hot plate, or on a salad(six salad options to choose from). All cost $ 11.50. Then they have big salads which you can make substitutions on ie: cauliflower in place of chicken on the Chinese Chicken salad etc. And they have soups and plants based sides which are rotated out seasonally and great selection for vegans. Their food is sourced from local farmers, which means menu items change at different locations. This location has a great selection though. There’s also a vegan section in their baked goods/dessert section which is always a bonus. They are located on the top floor of a two story strip mall near the Coffee Bean and Yogurtland and there is plenty of parking including additional parking underground. There’s also an outdoor seating area for nicer days or if you want to escape their crazy air-conditioning in the summer.(Take it down a notch, guys!) The 4th star is actually based on this location and the extra-friendly staff. Shout-out to Lee! It’s not gourmet but it’s reliable and priced right and that’s a winning combination for sure.

I have no qualms with going against the grain, straying away from the herd of sheep, and being the«weird» one. How does this relate to a review of Tender Greens? Merely that I feel all of the positive reviews are due to the hype of the California state staple(there are locations as north as San Fran and as far south as San Diego) versus the actual nature of the establishment. I am going to be real… Tender Greens in Studio City is located on the second floor of a strip plaza on the corner of Laurel Canyon and Ventura(the eatery is next to a flight of steps but the escalator is a bit further down). The interior welcomes you with hardwood floors, cleans lines, and muted shades of green and tans which help solidify the feeling of farm-fresh healthy food. It is a mixture of a café with a hint of veggie Ikea(I am not exactly sure what I mean by that but it feels right!). The always-busy line curls around starting with a register/order taking stop first, a walk by the prep counter, and then the pay register(where one also orders drinks). Although busy, the line seemed to move pretty efficiently. My biggest problem is with the menu. Tender Greens offers Big Plates in which you can pick a protein and have it served on a hot plate, salad, or sandwich, plus salads, and soups. Sounds like a plentiful selection but it is actually quite dummied down. Everything seems sparse and not enticing at all. It feels like Tender Greens offers the bare minimum. Granted, all of the ingredients are fresh and local which is a huge plus but bluntly: everything is boring. I ordered the Herb-Brushed Albacore(grilled rare with salt, lemon, and olive oil — $ 11.50) on a simple salad of butter lettuce(red and green butter lettuce with tarragon dressing) while my boyfriend ordered the same on tender greens(sherry vinaigrette) and we shared an Agua Fresca(watermelon with free refills — $ 2.75). How was the food? Everything was fresh and presented nicely(the salads also came with a piece of bread-croûton) but was honestly a disappointment. The simple salads are literally that: simple. It is just a bed of lettuce so we merely received leaves with albacore on it. The albacore was a nice size serving(two ‘filets’) and was pretty tasty but again it left you with a «That’s it?!» — response. The best parts were the dressings: both the sherry and the tarragon were amazing. I would like both of those in a bottle. The BEST part of Tender Greens is the Aqua Fresca. The watermelon juice tasted like melon heaven. It was like summer refreshment in my mouth. I couldn’t get enough! I would only want to return to Tender Greens for a glass of that! As for the service, it is also sparse. None of the employees were smiling, happy, or friendly. They merely seemed like robots with no personality. Granted, they weren’t rude; but weren’t exactly welcoming either. The most notable employee was the sole bus boy on duty who was very kind going from table to table and offering refills with ease. Overall, Tender Greens is too simple and«meh». Although the ingredients are fresh; you can get MUCH better similar food at a million places that offer more creativity and selection. However, if you seek a plate of lettuce then Tender Greens is precisely the place to go. Don’t expect super amazing service, though. So, sorry everyone but I have to chalk up all the positivity to hype. Luckily, I am willing to be the odd(wo)man out.

I love this place! I’ve been to this location and Hollywood’s and they’re both amazing. I got the Albacore on a kale salad with corn. I wasn’t too hungry, which is why I went with a salad… but no, it was HUGE! I was only able to eat half. Great portion size for the price($ 11?). Love the outdoor seating area. Even though the main street is right there, it is very pleasant. We were able to see the sunset. They also put candles out at night, which is a nice touch. Can’t wait to be back!

My husband and I tried Tender Greens for the first time, tonight. The freshness of our salads and good service made for a perfect end of weekend dinner. My hubby had the salami and kale salad and a bowl of tomato soup. I had the grilled vegetable salad and a glass of mint lemonade. We placed our order at the beginning of the line and watched them create our meal while we waited in line to pay. The cashier was gracious and efficient, pulling my beverage and apologizing for us having to wait while she had to pull a complicated order ahead of us. Seating is on stylish metal chairs that are a surprisingly comfortable. It did not feel cramped even though the place was pretty full. We will be back again to try different menu items.

Tender Greens has great food and a friendly helpful staff. I was going to order the lamb but after going over my food allergies with one of the servers, I decided on the BBQ chicken. It was really good, and healthy. You order at the counter, so everything is really quick. They will even help you carry the tray to your table. Taking off two stars for the really loud employee who was chatting with his friends all through out my meal. Really? Shouldn’t he be working? I heard his entire life story. And they weren’t quietly talking — he was loud. Loud enough to disrupt my plan to read during my dinner. And the restaurant was pretty full, so I don’t know how he had time to stand around and chat. I love the Tender Greens restaurants, and I do plan to go back because the food is good. And this location has free underground parking on week nights.
