I love this place. They have a huge variety of liquor, beer, cigarettes, and groceries for a great price. The owner Sam is a very nice guy and he is always willing to help out his customers. Also, the sandwiches here are very good with top quality meat

Friendly staff, great quality deli products, & great selection of drinks, decent prices too. Their Sunday bbq is the best of the best. Their sides are AWWWWWEEEESOM! Love the mushroom one, the artichoke one and the olive one. If you get their bbq ribs, be careful not to accidentally eat your fingers while you shove the yummy ribs in your mouth ;)

This is my spot! I’m here every day because I always forget something or I’m too lazy to drive to the store. It’s got great selection of imported and local beer! Wine selection is not bad. The owner is super cool and listens to suggestions(I am known to give those for free) Told him to get gluten free pasta, and other items that are health conscious. He did. The meat counter is busy too. They have Natural chicken, beef, ground turkey and beef bones that are frozen. Use them for soup stock. they are yummy! They do BBQ on the weekend out front, it smells from a far, But … I’ve had it few times and it’s too dry cause they prob leave it on for too long… Anyway, love this place. It’s open even on Thanksgiving Day, good thing cause I always forget something from the store.

They’ve got a great selection of beers and prime meats. What more does a man need? Actually, I do end up buying some produce too. The store is walking distance from my home so it’s extremely convenient when I’m cooking and realize I ran out of something I need. The first time I walked in I was expecting something like a gas station corner store but I was blown away by how much they have. They even carry ethnic foods, wines, etc. and their BBQ on the weekends is great. I probably stop in at least 2 – 3 times per week now.

So I was dog-sitting for a friend in the Valley. And I had a Friday night to kill with the pups. And stopped by this place to grab some beer and a snack. The meat market inside looked really good. My buddy has a grill. I bought thier stuffed double-thick pork chop and some Golden Road Hefeweizen. Got home, cracked a beer. Seared that fat pork chop on either side, then took it off the direct heat and closed the grill for 25 minutes. Played with the dogs. Then… OHMYFUCKINGGOD. Maybe the best thing I’ve EVER cooked. Juicy, intensely flavorful, I inhaled that thing. I’ll drive across town — in to the Valley — to go back for one of these pork chops. So, yes, I reccommend M & M.

This is a wonderful neighborhood market with a surprising vast variety of groceries. They have a wide selection of goods to fit your needs, and the employees are all very very friendly and personable. If you live nearby, it is a great alternative to Ralphs!

I like quaint, old-fashioned charming, and small. This place reminds me of the markets that I went into with my mother when I was a little girl back East(don’t ask how long ago!). The linoleum floors, the fifties-vintage aisle signs, and the Knudsen poster on the side make me nostalgic.

These guys are great. Sure their selection is not always the best, but the owner and employees are so nice. It’s nice to go somewhere and have them remember you everytime, so you don’t have to continuelly show them your ID. It was within walking distance, so I found it to be a perfect spot for those last minute items. Also, a super easy stop on the way home from work to pick up milk or soup or toilet paper. I always chose here over 7 – 11, which is about a block closer in the other direction.

Just moved in down the street from M & M. Went in there to pick up a few items for lunch. While they have a limited selection of canned goods their veg selection is very fresh and inexpensive. I ended up at the deli /meat counter, chatted with Romeo for a few minutes, and left with a fresh roast pork sandwich on a fresh roll. I plan to buy all my meat in the future from M & M. It may be slightly more expensive but they have been here 25 years. That is worth 50 cents more per pound!

Yes, the M & M Market is a very basic local store. But for the BESTSANDWICHESINTOWN go to the meat counter. The proprietor, Romeo, has been cutting meat and making great sandwiches there for over 25 years. He knows his stuff! Roasted chicken, turkey, lamb [yes, lamb] and beef are the mainstays, piled thick and garnished to your liking on a fresh roll or other bread. I’m a bigger than average guy, but I can’t eat a whole sandwich. Best part is, there’s usually not a huge line. I“ve also started buying my specialty meat there — the rib-eye is thick, and the marinated meats are unbelievable and waaaaaay easier [and tastier] than concocting a marinade myself. Greg
