Very good food along with excellent service. Highly recommend if you are into Japanese food like we are.

Came in on Valentine’s Day and the place was pretty empty. The service was OK. Food is pretty good, but when you’re surrounded by 20 other sushi spots within a mile radius, you don’t have to go far for better sushi.

The best sushi ever. It never disappoints. The bagel roll, baked mussels, the dynamite sauce… Omg so good!

Worst sushi I’ve ever had in my life… On top of that, worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. The sushi was of a purée texture. Never eat here.

I ordered baked sushi just right now. And i’m very disappointed. I expect that their sushi are good cos they literrally asked for a tip. I would never ever order form this restaurant again.

My go-to sushi place has to be ahi sushi!!! My boyfriend and I love coming to this place for lunch or dinner,(sometimes breakfast). I love their yellowtail carpaccio roll and their lemon roll the best. Also recommend their lobster hand roll with soy paper. Everything is fresh and tasty here!

This my favorite sushi spot in LA. The fish is so fresh, the special rolls are interesting and diverse, the service prompt and friendly. I love coming here because of the amazing food and calming ambience. The chefs are top-notch; in particular, Johnny and Hedekhe are two world class sushi chefs. HIGHLYRECCOMMEND.

Had a great lunch special when I went here with my dad. It has great sushi, but really I think the taste was complimented with the conversations I had with my dad though. I truly think this place is nice but I would rather go to Daichan’s restaurant. Sorry but I want to be honest

I have been coming here for literally 14+ years and this restaurant continues to amaze and dazzle my taste buds! My favorite dish is the Tuna TarTar with crispy wonton chips. Equally, I love their lobster roll. Service is wonderful, parking lot is huge and the food is remarkably fresh and delicious. I’m impressed that they have an excellent Unilocal rating, which I tend to think is hard, particularly for Sushi restaurants. I’d suspect that there are a number of ‘Sushi snobs’ out there that are prone to write disparaging reviews.

I absolutely love this place! Favorite rolls: Ahi roll, coconut roll, and mango salad roll. Delicious!

Yum! So good! We accidentally made reservations here, thinking it was a different restaurant, and decided what the heck, let’s just do it. And some of the best sushi I’ve had yet! Very fresh, fresh, fresh fish; exquisite, delicate flavors with unique sauces and toppings. Oh my gosh, so very good. We were wonderfully blown away with almost every roll we got — baked Chilean sea bass roll, yellowtail carpaccio roll, house special rainbow roll, and spicy yellowtail roll. The sea bass roll and yellowtail carpaccio rolls were some of the best rolls I’ve ever had; the sauces, microgreens, and garlic ships adorning them were the perfect touches; even the rice was perfectly cooked and perfect texture. Also the sushi chef was gracious enough to keep the avocado on the side as we requested. They are, however, more on the expensive side, and the rolls are on the smaller side. I get that they have a more refined twist to them, but still, very small rolls for a bit more $(hence us ordering four rolls). Additionally, my husband got the toro, which was warm on the outside and cold in the middle; so-so for the expensive market price. Service is on point, very quick and our food came out just minutes after we ordered despite a moderately full restaurant. Ambiance is A+ too, at least inside; outside the fans are doing this weird thing in the way they’re blocking the light, but otherwise whatever. All and all, we were here for his birthday, so it was worth the price, and we won’t think twice about going back for a special occasion, as long as we’re fine dropping a little more $$.

«The customers always right«… Not here. The first night I sat at the sushi bar The young sushi chef gave me a lecture On what he thought I would like. And why I shouldn’t like what I do. He didn’t know me… he was condescending And treated me like a sushi rookie. I lived for years in Japan. He probably Grew up in West LA. I gave this place a second chance … Unfortunately I got the same arrogant Control freak. I asked for no gobo root On a salmon skin roll … He went into A lecture on why I was wrong for liking It my way and he was going to put It in anyway. I stood up and walked Out. Who needs this kind of BS when your Spending 100 dollars for dinner. Go to Iroha … Walking distance.

Last Monday I got the most sever food poisoning from this place I have EVER gotten. I have been here before and from what I can remember have had pretty decent experiences with the sushi. Even last Monday when I went and ate there with my mom the sushi was pretty good. That was all that I had to eat that day before I started to feel the most sick I’ve ever felt in my life from food. To follow was vomiting and everything else that comes with– I will spare the details. It lasted 8 hours straight and still can’t even think of sushi without wanting to hurl. Here’s the part that INFURIATES me. The next day I called to let them know, and the lady didn’t seem to care at all, took down my info and said a manager would call. I never got a response. Then, a few days later my Mom sent an email to the management and no one responded. Apparently the safety and wellbeing of their customers isn’t important to them. I won’t be coming back which is a real shame because I live 2 seconds away.

Solid sushi, but not as good as Iroha(3 doors down). Try the garlic lemon roll and the miso eggplant!!! Big plus: lots of free parking, almost never a wait, some good sushi options. Downside: the sushi is solid, but not amazing. The music they play is often club like :-/

Very good sushi and almost worth the price! I ordered a salmon sashimi avocado hand roll, salmon sashimi roll, gyoza and the spicy crunchy crab roll. I was most impressed with the salmon sashimi roll and spicy crunchy crab roll. The salmon sashimi roll was the perfect fresh tasting roll I needed on a hot day. The spicy crunchy crab roll(on happy hour less than $ 5!) was wildly delicious. The crab was not within the roll but mixed with SPICY tempura crunchies(yes.) and topped the avocado cucumber roll. I’ve never seen anything like those spicy crunchies, they were like mini Asian spicy tempura Cheetos… The service is why this isn’t a 5 star review. I came when they were not busy but my server wasn’t very friendly or attentive, she passed by my table multiple times when my water was empty and dirty dishes were through with… I expected better service for the price I was paying– I wish I could’ve just given most of my tip to the sushi chef. I’ll definitely be back though!

I live in the area so I’ve both eaten in the restaurant and ordered sushi for delivery from Ahi. Both experiences are equally great thought I’m especially impressed by the delivery of their fresh sushi. A lot of times when you order sushi to go or for delivery restaurants will forget little things like a side of ponzu or the wasabi or ginger — things like that. Ahi always arrives perfect. NEVER anything missing and always ample portions which is appreciated. The dinners are all large portions — Salmon Teriaki is always very good. The sushi is FRESH. I really like the Red Dragon Roll, excellent Spicy Tuna roll, Ginger Snapper with Black Truffles is unique and delicious… I’m also a fan of the Spicy Garlic Albacore Roll and the Sauteed Garlic Snowcrab roll. Studio City has lots of great sushi joints and Ahi Sushi has been around a long time and is still doing it right! Love it!

Today at 5:15 P.M. I walked away from everything for a Japanese beer and sushi-I loved that the sushi chef had a personality as well as prepared some awesome dishes. My friend that I invited along just loved it too. And I surprised myself by trying something different than my regular order. Having gone so early, it wasn’t packed and although Iroha Sushi is my favorite, I enjoy this place as well. Thank you for dinner tonight Ahi! My friend loves there happy hour, of course I’m never that lucky to have what I order on the happy hour menu-just the same I do enjoy their $ 2.00 imported beer.

My dad and I really enjoy coming here. Fish is fresh and tasty. Service is great. They have some great options, and some delicious wines to choose from. Atmosphere is pretty quiet, they have both indoor and outdoor seating. If you’re coming during«dinner hours»(6 – 8 pm) I would suggest making a reservation

Dropped by for some Sushi with a buddy of mine, who happens to live right up the street. He’d been here with his girlfriend and recommended it — so I figured, wth not? First off — for a place on Ventura, to have a lot of parking is nice. The lot is behind the restaurant and with neighboring businesses closed, there was a lot of space. There are signs though — so read up to avoid being towed. Next — I guess there’s both indoor and outdoor seating. I didn’t really see the patio, but we were asked and I chose indoors. It was getting a little chilly outside. Remember, I’m a local boy from Hawaii. I’m used to eighty degrees all year around. Dip into the sixties and I need a light jacket. Service — attentive. The servers, or the staff, I should say because there were three different people who serviced our table — weren’t the open people in the world — but they definitely provided efficient customer service. It was almost like a well tuned, and oiled machine. And by machine — I mean just that too. They did their job, period. As for the food — I enjoyed the selection we agreed on. I thought the portion sizes were on the small side for the prices but the rolls we ordered, were presented well and the flavors all blended well together with the sauces and ingredients. The fish seemed fresh but I probably should have ventured out on my own and went for the traditional sushi and sashimi. The rolls, though not bad, just didn’t wow me. I’ll have to try this place again as I noticed that some of the Sashimi, on nearby tables looked awesome. Hopefully, the next experience will make me a fan of this place.

Tasty sushi & sashimi. I think they are a bit pricy comparing to other sushi restaurants in the valley, but we still enjoyed the food. The service was exellent.
