My father — who is 81 yrs old — had open heart surgery here. I can not even begin to tell you how awesome every single encounter was. From the moment that we made the arrangements to have the surgery — hospital staff was in touch with us to help us through every step of the process. We met a lot of these people in the tour of the hospital before the surgery — but the few that we didn’t actually meet and only spoke to on the phone — made an effort to stop by on the day of surgery to introduce themselves.
There is one person who stood out above everyone else — Nick. I can’t say enough about him. Evidently he has been with Martin for 7 yrs and he has Fri — Sun off — that’s a tough contract to negotiate — but I can attest that he has what it takes to demand that kind of respect. My father is not the easiest patient –and through ALL of it — Nick guided, reassured, comforted and confronted us on everything in the perfect time line. Kudos to Martin for retaining someone like him.
I live in Orlando — and I have had good experiences with hospitals — but if I had a choice I would go to Martin based on this experience — and we were there for 5 days — so we saw it all!

Great staff, patient care is to p notch. Wife delivered our daughter here and the staff’s attention to detail was incredible. Thank you Martin Memorial.
