We tried 4 ciders– dry, medium sweet, an amazing hoppy blend they call the Sauvignon blanc type cider that even non-hoppy palates like– and a basque-ish bourbon aged blend. Ended up buying cans of all of them. So, so good and can’t WAIT till they export. Made a Stowe-mosa for breakfast with oj and Safety Meeting and was the best mimosa I’ve ever had!

Quality cider maker in Stowe — if you like nice refreshing alcoholic apple cider, this place is where you need to be. They have different flavors too — all are worth trying and bringing home. Favorite was that super fruity clean refreshing Strawberry Fields with mint. Stop in for samples and get a growler to go. Some of the best craft cider around, and if you are doing the brewery rounds its a nice palette cleanser between all those big hoppy beers. Super friendly people, funky cider spot!

Cider is really good and the guy working when we went was super friendly and very knowledgeable. We sampled the four ciders on tap and loved them all, although I wish the blueberry one had been a bit sweeter with more of a blueberry taste, but the guy working explained it all had to do with the fermentation process. Overall, we ready enjoy the cider and are excited that they are apparently rolling out distribution to ct later this summer!

This place is everything a proper cidery should be! Local ingredients, local barrel aging, and super dry bubbly cider with a verity of different infused tastings. When we were there they had original, raspberry, ginger, lemon, and pepper. We got two bottles to go and did their tasting, everything was very good!

This place is excellent, they had about 5 ciders for us to try and each one was absolutely amazing. They are not your typically sweet sugary ciders, they are dry real apple ciders. You can taste the freshness in the cider. I really enjoyed one that was made with Gin, but didn’t have a name yet. I typically don’t like gin but you couldn’t even taste it. They also had a barrel aged beer that had orange peel in it, it was strong and delicious. Mark the GM was there to explain what we were drinking and talk about the process. You can tell that he is passionate about what he does which makes the experience that much better. He talked about how locally sourced all of the products were, and how the raspberries were handpicked by the lady who owned the market before it became Stowe Cider. I’m obsessed with the logo, it’s beautiful. I had to get a sweatshirt, and a growler to take home.

On our recent trip to Stowe, we became enamored with the wide variety of bottled ciders for sale, none of which are available back home in NJ. We opted to pay a visit to our new favorite cidery — Stowe Cider — for a tasting. We showed up on a snowy Thursday at 5:45pm. We believed they closed at 7pm but saw on the door that the closing time was actually 6pm. We popped in anyway and asked if we could do a single tasting & leave quickly. The owner said no way, encouraged us to sit down at the bar, and try all three ciders on tap. He was incredibly engaging, gave us tips for what to do around town, told us all about his cider process, and even gave us some tips to make our home brewed cider a bit better. The hospitality was top notch. And of course so was the cider. We tried the traditional, a raspberry cider, and a bourbon barrel aged one. Note that this is a tiny facility and there isn’t anything to tour. You can see the whole operation from the tasting bar. Regardless, this is worth a stop for cider lovers.

We’ve been a few times for tastings and growlettes, always wonderful. Wonderful enough that we asked Stowe Cider for a pony keg for our rehearsal dinner, and Stefan and his team were glad to accommodate us. They brought the keg and kegerator setup out to the venue, even with a last minute change to the other side of town due to rain, set it all up, and grabbed it the next morning. The cider was an absolute hit with all our friends. Stowe Cider is a great local business and I can’t wait to see their business expand further!

Wonderful artisinal ciders that don’t leave your teeth hurting afterward. The owner is friendly and happy to chat about cider, VT, and life.
