Last week tues morning — Ed was awesome– he was on time, courteous and had a «wicked» sense of humor. He made the ride enjoyable with his historical facts of Vermont and the local folklore of Stowe. He did not have a mean word to say about anyone. If you get to choose a driver — ask for Ed.

Snowflake Taxi quoted us «around $ 100» for a round trip for a large group between Sugarbush and Waterbury. We were very specific in asking if the quote was for a round trip and Snowflake’s agent said it was. After the return trip, Snowflake’s manager/owner, Israel, who was also our driver, charged my card $ 364. I called him later to dispute the charge. I wanted a partial refund. This did not go well. He called me «f***ing retarded» and only offered to refund me $ 35.(In an earlier call with another member of my group, Israel said he had accidentally charged me for 11 people even though we were a group of 10, hence the $ 35.) In my call with Israel, he claimed that we had misunderstood the quote and said that we were actually quoted $ 140 each way(I have no idea where this number came from and $ 140×2 is still a lot less than we were charged). He explained that the quote had been too low because a «73 year old man»(his employee) who«didn’t have access to GPS» gave it to us. He also claimed that we added a $ 25 tip each way onto the fare, which is not true. Avoid this business if at all possible.

Was told the ride from Stowe to Burlington airport would be $ 75 then the driver told me it was $ 95. The car stank of stale cigarette smoke. I felt limited in my options getting to Burlington airport — probably how this company manages to stay in business.
