Great place for a few local beers and cocktails. They have ALOT of beers in tap which is awesome. Decent DJ there on a Saturday night and a few pool tables and video games. Only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star is they don’t really have much food to choose from after 10 pm. Just mozzarella sticks, chicken fingers fries etc. And they weren’t worth the price. For beers and some fun tho this is the place!

My friends and I came here after a long day of skiing and were famished but the service turned out to be terrible. We had to seat ourselves and waited at least 10 minutes before a waitress would acknowledge us. And then after ordering our food it took us close to an hour to receive it. There were five people total in our party and nothing we ordered was that complicated to make(hamburgers, sandwiches, I ordered tacos). And as we waited the waitress didnt come over to check on us or refresh drinks. I had to go up to the bar twice to ask about our food. And when they did finally bring out food they brought out one persons dish first– the normal thing to do is bring out everyone in the party’s dish at once. It was very odd. Also after multiple complaints the owner/manager was very unapologetic. He said there was a large party there but no we were there before them. He also said that they had just hired someone new in the back. He did not offer to comp anything on our bill. The food was actually pretty tasty but I wouldn’t go back or recommend them since they treat their customers poorly.

Awful. The night I went to Rimrock’s I saw the worst case of staff dysfunction I’ve ever seen in a restaurant. The bar had only an average crowd, and the burgers and wings and beer this place serves are the height of simplicity – but the staff seemed completely and inexplicably overwhelmed. Customers kept walking up to the bar and asking for their checks or their drinks because they were being ignored. I ordered a burger, waited over an hour, and finally gave up. This place was a total basket case.

Bar food in a bar, neither of which is the least bit exceptional. Service was friendly and adequate, if terribly slow, considering there were fewer than a half dozen people in the entire establishment. Perhaps go on a more convivial night with more patrons, with the sole intent of enjoying a few drinks. Pass on the food.

Vacationed in VT this past weekend and stayed across the street from this restaurant. The service was ok. Lots of TV for if you want to watch a game. The food is your basic bar food. Went with a group of 10 people and everyone’s food was just ok nothing really stood out as being amazing. However the location was convenient since it was in walking distance.

Vacationed in Vermont this past weekend and stayed at a hotel right across from Rimrock. Very convenient. Fun atmosphere with pool tables and arcade games. Food was great! Definitely recommend the Cajun fries.

This is a unique, successful, and high quality operation. Despite its sports bar-like image, it delivers much more than cheap beer and nachos. The food is delicious, especially the(grass-fed) burgers. The music is good, and not too loud. The servers/bartenders are friendly and attentive. Highly recommend the burgers, as they are cooked to perfection. Visit Rimrock’s for a delicious and fun dinner or drinks.

Good food. But the worst service I’ve experienced in Stowe. Not matter the time of day or number of customers. It’s just awful. And that’s with, what one can only assume is a manager, there. Doing pretty much nothing to help. Drinks are over priced and watered down. A really good burger isn’t worth the frustration.

Tavern burger was good. Sweet potato fries good but over salted and the New England Clam chowder was no better than your basic out of a can. Wait staff was not around so I seated my self then had to go to the bar to order. When the food was ready it was brought out to my table. Waitress was friendly. This took place on a Sunday afternoon, during a NE Patriots game, yet the tavern was not very crowded at all.

We got into town late and wanted an easy meal(no wait, nothing fancy). This place was just that. We sat at a table in the bar area. Mostly just seemed to be locals. The bartender was very nice and was on top on things even though she was the only one working in the place as bartender and server. Had a good selection of local beers on tap. We got a mushroom swiss burger with sweet potato fries and a grilled chicken Greek salad. The burger was grass fed beef, nice. Came rare as ordered, yah. Fries were tender and crispy. Salad was very fresh, didn’t skimp on any of the additions, and as per Vermont, heavy on the feta cheese yum. Came with the house dressing, a creamy balsamic which was very tasty. Asked for extra and didn’t love that I was charged for it but oh well.

Wow I was shocked when I read the positive reviews. We ended up here by accident when we could not get a table anywhere else. It took 25 minutes to order drinks, another 20 to order appetizers and dinner, and probably 40 minutes for the food to arrive — one meal was forgotten and brought after others were finished. The food was mediocre bar food(in a town with tons of bar food) at best. My chicken Caesar wrap was iceberg lettuce and had two morsels of tiny chicken. Servers were very nice but just not efficient and we felt like nobody remembered us all night. There is a reason we got a table here right away!

Great experience. Waitress in the bar was nice and helpful. We went with her recommendation of tavern salad and burger. Both were really good, fresh and so tasty. Oh and the fries were pretty much perfection.
