I think people are being tough on this store. I am so glad to have it here in Stow! Having this Macys here means I don’t have to drive to Summit, Beachwood, or Strongsville mall to get the department store brands(estee lauder, lancome, clinique, etc…) that I normally purchase. It is significantly smaller than the Macys in the malls, but thats okay. It carries the most important and frequently purchased brands/items, and I have always found the salespeople to be very helpful and polite. The retail area where it is located is in a state of change right now. It had been somewhat empty, with a relatively large section of stores sitting unused. But this past year those stores have been knocked down, and new buildings are set to go up. From what I understand they are planning on renovating the shopping area by putting in more green space, new retail and new residential areas. Evidently, it’s supposed to be really nice when completed. It is located in a nice area in Stow. It had just become something of an island amid some empty stores. Looks like thats all changing now, and I am very happy about that! Improving the retail space around Macys will only serve to make that whole shopping area(including Target, Hobby Lobby and Kohls) much more appealing and upscale. As for Macys itself, I find it a nice, clean store with helpful sales associates. I shop there pretty frequently. I like it! :)

Ah this made me sad to come here. I worked here when it was O’Neil’s back in the day(late 80s) when I went to Kent State. It was a nice little department store then. It has sadly seen little renovation since and the surrounding plaza is just dismal. No stores left, Macy’s is an island in the ruins. Service was nothing like it was with O’Neil’s either, but I guess that is not to be expected anywhere but Nordstroms or Neiman’s anymore. The west coast stores are much nicer. :(

This store is a miserable shopping experience. Enter via the south entrance and you’re knocked over by a foul smelling stench. This store is a 1960s relic. They lack a lot of floor space to stock quality products. Otherwise their staff were pleasant and generally helpful.

Aside from being THRILLED to be wearing a heinously small size in *Junior’s jeans(what’s up being broke?!? At least you were good for my BOOTAY,) I was BEYOND thrilled to purchase them for under $ 20… American Rag jeans for under $ 20. And, I got a cute sweater, a cute little 60’s inspired print dress for work and a plum colored tank top for under my cute sweater… on the MEGA cheap. Thank you after Christmas sales in Ohio for being so effing awesome… I would have paid quadruple what I did in San Francisco. It proves the Midwest is good for something beyond corn, cheese and snow. Macy’s I swear I’d marry you if I could. *Eff that noise — I’m CRAZYSUPERMEGATHRILLED that at 34 my ass and other parts fits(quite nicely, I might add) into clothes from the Juniors department. Oooo snap! Lovely.
